ONMT Launches New Communication Campaign to Promote Local Tourism
Rabat – Morocco's Tourism Office (ONMT) has announced the launch of a new communication campaign, saying the move targets Moroccans around the world to encourage them to explore the country's domestic tourism assets.
The campaign is a renewed commitment as part of the 'Ntla9aw fbladna' or 'Let's meet in our country,' ONMT said in a statement today, highlighting the country's tourism attractions.
It added that the campaign's goal is to engage Moroccan citizens in a 'dynamic of discovery or rediscovery' of their territory.
The campaign includes two advertising videos, embodying the initiative's ambition. One of the films explores the Atlantic and the Mediterranean coasts, highlighting swimming, paragliding, fishing, horseback riding, and family outings.
The second advertising film includes a focus on nature and adventure, as well as Amazigh hospitality, culinary, and outdoor thrills.
'' Ntla9aw fbladka' aims to enhance the appeal of Morocco as a destination in all its diversity, representing all 12 regions of the Kingdom,' ONMT said, noting that the two advertising films have already received extremely positive feedback.
For ONMT, the campaign promotes Morocco as a prized destination for travel and the place to be for iconic, unforgettable memories, emotions, and experiences.
Beyond local tourism, Morocco has been welcoming millions of tourists year-round.
The country welcomed 5.7 million tourists in the first four months of this year alone, representing a 23% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
In 2024, Morocco welcomed over 17 million tourists.

This came as many Muslims are expected to enjoy the feast's culinary delicacies despite the absence of the sacrifice ritual. Some, however, have turned to buying fish and poultry products, as they fear that shops will be closed for weeks. Butchers traditionally close for several weeks during Eid Al Adha, knowing that most families have already secured more than enough meat through the sacrifice of goats or sheep. Butchers and markets selling poultry products have urged citizens to stock up on poultry provisions, warning against a similar scenario. Mohamed Aboud, president of the National Association of chicken farmers, told SNRTnews that the cancellation of the sacrifice ritual led many citizens to turn more heavily to poultry meat. He stressed that during Eid al-Adha, markets see a drop in demand for poultry initially. There is an exception this year, however, he said, noting that retail chicken prices now range between MAD 21 and 23 instead of their initial prices set at MAD 17. Mustapha Mountassir, president of the National Association of Poultry Meat Producers, echoed the same statement to the same source, noting that the price rise is due to demand outpacing supply. Eid al Adha: Morocco Announces Recommendations for Safe Road Travel
Rabat – The Moroccan National Motorway Company (ADM) has warned that the motorway network will experience a significant increase in traffic during the Eid al Adha holiday. The highway authority said it offers a series of recommendations to ensure travelers' safety, noting that heavy traffic could be expected on Thursday and Friday between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. Traffic could also be high on Monday, June 9, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., said the same source. The statement urged travelers to plan their trips in advance, check real-time traffic conditions by downloading the ADM Traffic app. In addition, the Moroccan authority called on citizens to verify and recharge their Jawaz Pass balance before using the motorway. UK Support for Moroccan Autonomy Plan, 'Major Diplomatic Turning Point'
The United Kingdom's support for the Moroccan autonomy plan in the Sahara constitutes "a major diplomatic turning point," noted Naïma Moutchou, Vice President of the French National Assembly, on her official X account. "The United Kingdom joins France and the United States in supporting Morocco's autonomy plan for the Sahara. This is a major diplomatic shift: facts are prevailing, support is expanding, and a consensual political solution is taking shape,' she stated.
