'I'm off air - all good - at 1030am I feel this sudden stomach ache. I stay in bed all day. Turns out I had a ruptured appendix and had urgent surgery at midnight on Thursday!'
She continued: 'Woke up 5am on Friday morning, high on anaesthetic and certain I could get into work to host the show as normal..
'Pretty nasty few days, the bacteria had spread and infected my blood etc and told to take this week off by @jadeens.
'I'm sore and shuffling around, can't drive for a week, and no exercise for 4 weeks (!) so really it's the boredom that will kill me!

The 54-year-old, who regularly presents the competitions for the morning ITV programmes, took to the sofa in a surprise mystery presenter shake-up.
Friday's instalment of Lorraine is usually presented by either Ranvir or Christine Lampard, 46.
However Andi stepped in for Ranvir last minute, telling viewers on Friday after the opening credits: 'First thing's first, I've just got to say get well soon to Ranvir who can't be here today...
'Which is why they have drafted in a man in a bright orange shirt just to make sure you are awake this morning!
'Get well soon Ranvir. We send you all of our love.'
Andi did not reveal what is wrong with former Strictly star Ranvir.
Many took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on the shake-up, with one saying: 'Lorraine AND Ranvir on the sick?'

A series of aesthetic snaps revealed a sleek room lined with custom-fitted wardrobes and shelves brimming with luxury items - including £20,000 Hermès handbags, Jimmy Choo and Saint Laurent heels, and a jaw-dropping Chanel collection. To the right of the room, Rachel added a chic dressing table complete with ample storage drawers. The glamorous setup featured a large arched mirror flanked by elegant light fixtures, with a wooden tabletop that added a warm touch. Her bespoke wardrobes offered plenty of closet space, and viewers were given a glimpse of her enviable handbag and shoe collection. In one close-up shot, two Hermès Mini Kelly handbags can be seen sitting neatly on a shelf. The sought-after handbags typically retail from £20,000. Meanwhile, her Louis Vuitton mini backpack and JW Anderson black handbag were neatly placed beside the black Hermès Mini Kelly. Her Chanel collection also made a statement, with multiple classic flap bags on display, worth an estimated £27,540 in total. Gushing over her new space, Rachel captioned the post: 'Hey lovelies. Hope you're well and having a great week. 'I wanted to share my haven, my zen space (prayer emoji) there are still some details to add and a few decorative bits to change but I just LOVE it so much! 'I've created my dream room with the help of the brilliant, super talented and creative @simontcherniauk @nevillejohnsongroup who I absolutely loved working with from start to finish! 'Simon and the team were an absolute dream and I can't thank them enough for helping bring my vision and dream space to life and I can't recommend them enough. She concluded: 'I'll share the fun process and more details with you all soon x.' The post comes after Rachel shared an update on how her romance is going with boyfriend Brendyn Hatfield, 38, last month. The S Club 7 star who was partnered with the pro skater on Dancing On Ice in 2022, conducted an Instagram Stories Q&A with her fans. During the session where her followers were able to ask her personal questions, one fan asked the star: 'How are you and Brendyn (love heart emoji).' Sharing a sweet snap of herself and Brendyn and confirming they were still together, she responded: 'Really good thank you' alongside a smiley love heart emoji. Rachel was previously married to real estate agent and actor Alex Bourne, 48, from 2009 to 2022. She announced her separation from her childhood sweetheart in July 2022, just one month shy of their 13th anniversary. The S Club icon then announced she had found love with Dancing On Ice partner Brendyn. The couple went official with their romance in November 2023 after they were first paired together on the ITV show. Rachel previously lifted the lid on her separation from Alex during an appearance on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, comparing it to 'jumping off a cliff.' She admitted: 'It's a lot of navigating, especially with the girls because they've always been at the forefront.' 'I'm very lucky, their dad is a great dad, and we've always been so aligned with keeping them really safe in it and being really honest. 'We've had great advice on how to age-appropriately speak to them and help them feel safe in it all because that was my biggest fear - how they are going to be in all of this. She continued: 'You're changing your life. It's not only a marriage, it's a family around it, it's your friendship groups, your home, your children.' 'Changing your whole life, for me it felt like jumping off a cliff, like wow, it's the unknown. 'But I've always believed that we have to be happy, we have to be true to ourselves, and it's not something you decide overnight, it's something that takes so much thought and questioning. 'I haven't talked about it a lot publicly because I'm so mindful of everyone involved.' The former couple were childhood sweethearts and reconnected in the mid-2000s when Rachel was launching her solo career and Alex was still trying to make it as an actor in Los Angeles. They got engaged in June 2008 after 18 months of dating and tied the knot at Claridge's in London the following year. The pair walked down the aisle to S Club 7's hit Never Had A Dream Come True, and her bandmates - Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Tina Barrett - were there to watch them say 'I do'. The former couple also share two daughters, Amelie, 14, and Minnie, 11.

Katie Price gives update on son Harvey's course of Ozempic-style weight-loss jabs after revealing he now weighs almost 30st

Katie Price has given an update on her son Harvey's weight loss treatment, as she revealed he was due to start a course of Ozempic -style jabs next week. The former glamour model, 47, previously revealed the 23-year-old son was going on the weight-loss injections in a bid to help improve his life, after his weight reached almost 30 stone. Harvey is blind, autistic, has septo-optic dysplasia, and is one of the 2,000 people in the UK with Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder. A recognised symptom of his Prader-Willi syndrome is constant hunger, leaving Katie fearful for Harvey's health without further intervention, after already trying a number of different weight loss strategies over the years. Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, with her sister Sophie, the mother-of-five gave fans an update on her eldest child. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She explained that she set to perform at Portsmouth Pride this week and that Harvey was joining her on the trip. While Katie then added: 'Hopefully Harvey starts his Mounjaro this week, but we'll talk about that next week and I'll go through all of what's happening about that.' Mounjaro is the brand name for the drug tirzepatide, and has been hailed as the 'King Kong' of slimming jabs - more effective for shifting the pounds than similar drugs like Ozempic. In April, Katie said she was 'heartbroken' by Harvey's weight increase, as she explained how it had left him struggling to walk and at risk of a heart attack. She took to her Snapchat to explain how she wanted him to start Mounjaro as soon as possible, to improve his quality of life. She said: 'I'm so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone. 'It's so bad now, I'm still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the Mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life.' She went on to say how difficult it was watching Harvey's ongoing fight, but vowed she would get him through it. Katie said: 'It's so sad his quality of life at the moment where he's so big, he just can't really do much. 'It's just another thing I have to deal with because he's at high risk of having a heart attack, he struggles to put his trainers or struggles to walk anywhere but I love him and I'm going to help him through this. 'So sad, obesity and his condition is sad, it's sad to see someone go through it and he doesn't understand.' Katie first revealed her intention to for Harvey to start using weight loss jabs in February, after consulting with his doctors. Speaking to The Sun to raise awareness, she explained that his medical professionals advised he may be taking the jabs for up to two years. She said: 'It's really, really serious and life-changing for Harvey. He's at risk of a heart attack, and because of his condition, he's not getting any smaller. 'He's putting on weight. It doesn't matter what we do. So the doctors are doing it to give him a better, longer life, and for his health.' The TV personality added: 'The good thing about starting him on the drug is, if it has any effect, you can stop it because you do it weekly. We've tried food, he's had dieticians, it's just the way he is. 'They want to try him on it for at least one or two years, which is a long time, but they'll control what level he needs then up it as they assess it.' It comes only a week after Katie shared a loving tribute to Harvey to mark his 23rd birthday, with series of throwback snaps of them together. Among them was a smiling selfie of her and Harvey together on the beach and another picture of her son planting a kiss on her cheek. In a caption, she gushed over her 'forever love' for her son and shared her excitement over spending Harvey's birthday with him. Harvey's biological father is former footballer Dwight York, who briefly dated Katie in 2001, breaking up soon after Katie fell pregnant with her eldest child. The ex premier league star denied he was the father, until a DNA test proved his paternity. Katie previously claimed that Dwight has barely seen Harvey since he was born, saying: 'I think he's seen Harvey about nine times in his life.' She claimed: 'I don't think he liked it that I was with Pete [Andre] before adding: 'I don't know whether it's because he couldn't have me or Harv, to this day I don't know. 'I've tried to send him pictures of Harvey on Instagram, Harvey playing the piano, he just ignores everything. He doesn't want to know. But the door is always open, always.' WHAT IS PRADER-WILLI SYNDROME? Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic condition that causes problems including constant urges to eat food, restricted growth and reduced muscle tone. Other potential issues include learning difficulties, lack of sexual development and behavioral problems such as tantrums or stubbornness. The rare condition, which affects one in every 15,000 children born in England, is caused by a defect on chromosome number 15 - and happens by chance. Because there is no cure, treatment aims to manage the symptoms – with parents of sufferers urged to get their children to stick to a healthy, balanced diet. Children with the syndrome can eat up to six times more than children of the same age – and still feel hungry. It was first described in 1956 by Swiss doctors A Prader, A Labhart and H Willi.
