BBC reveals when Tommy Fury's new series will air – and fans don't have long to wait

Tommy, 26, has opened up on the worst year of his life in his new BBC docuseries.
His rollercoaster year is set to be documented in a new series called: "Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury."
Tommy soared to fame after his huge 2023 beating YouTube's biggest boxing stars in Jake Paul and KSI, while also welcoming his baby daughter Bambi into the world.
But a hand injury - which required surgery - sidelined the him from the ring.
He opens up about how he fell into a period of depression and alcohol abuse, which he has said cost him his relationship with Molly-Mae Hague.
And when he returned to the ring - winning his comeback fight in May.
He also got back together with Molly-Mae Hague - who he met on Love Island in 2019.
The documentary promises an "access all areas" perspective, showing the behind-the-scenes of his boxing career, including fight preparations, and his life at home.
Tommy teased that the series will show the person behind the public image, including the "ups and downs".
In the trailer, Tommy said: "I went through the worst year of my life because I couldn't box.

"In this big house that I bought, I found myself just sat alone. I just want to show Bambi and Molly, I'm back.
"I need to get back to me, that's a big thing about being a Fury, we fight until our last breath."
The BBC has confirmed the hotly anticipated show will hit screens very soon.
Viewers can watch from Tuesday, August 19 at 9pm on BBC Three.

The series comes after the release of Molly-Mae's own documentary series on Prime Video, "Molly-Mae: Behind It All".
Fans got a glimpse into Tommy's relationship with Molly-Mae in her docuseries.
We saw the pair navigate parenthood with their daughter, Bambi, after their very public split.
But fans were left stunned after Molly was snapped kissing Tommy at a New Year's Eve party.
Shortly after, Molly gave Tommy another chance - despite objections from her family.
Since then, the pair have flaunted their relationship on social media, enjoying lavish holidays and posting loved-up family snaps.
But how long will it last?

The Royal Court has announced that they will be staging Sophia Chetin-Leuner's Porn Play, which focuses on a female academic who is addicted to pornography, and also tackles the taboo topic of female masturbation. The play was informed by a study which suggested that women are statistically more likely to watch violent pornography than men. Ambika will take on the leading role in the play, which will be directed by Josie Rourke. David Byrne, the Royal Court's artistic director, said the play had a 'conversation that I have not seen anywhere else'. He said: 'It is going to be a play that everybody will be talking about. Of course the subject matter elicits attention but it is a really deep and complex work.' Freddie Mercury's 'secret' daughter speaks out for the first time ahead of publication of bombshell book
The 'secret daughter' of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has made an emotional statement ahead of publication of a book about their relationship. In it, the woman, known only as B, says: 'I didn't want to share my Dad with the whole world. After his death, I had to learn to live with the attacks against him, the misrepresentations of him, and with the feeling that my Dad now belonged to everyone. I cried and mourned my Dad, while fans all around the world mourned Freddie. When you are 15 years old, it's not easy. 'I had to become an adult without him, and live all the structuring moments and events without his support. For 30 years I had to build my life and family without him and accept that he wouldn't be there to share the happy moments with us. For 30 years, while the rest of the world was reinterpreting Mercury's life, his music and all that he had been, I needed to have my Dad just for me and my family. How could I have spoken before?' B has now provided a statement after becoming aware that Freddie's ex and close friend Mary Austin is allegedly saying she did not know B existed. Mary, who inherited much of his fortune and avoids the public eye, is understood to have cast doubt on B's story in an interview with a Sunday newspaper. The book which tells her story, called Love, Freddie, comes out in September. B said: 'I am devastated by Mary Austin's alleged response. For 34 years, the truth of Freddie's life has been distorted, twisted and rewritten, but she said nothing - with the exception of her comment about the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, which she called "artistic license". Here, she has not yet read the book, yet she apparently makes this statement. I don't understand why.' The book tells the story of a child who was conceived accidentally during a fling with the wife of a close friend in 1976, a year after Bohemian Rhapsody became a hit. The revelation came as a huge shock to the singer's millions of fans, who have long loved and accepted him as a gay man. His last boyfriend, the late Jim Hutton, is one of a number of who have written books about their experiences with him. Freddie had a number of full relationships with women. These include Mary Austin, whom he met when she was 19 and he 23. The couple lived together and were engaged for a while before he came out as gay. They never had any children, although Mary went on to have two sons with another partner and remained close to Freddie for the rest of his life. A romance with another woman – the mother of his love-child – was however something Freddie kept a closely guarded secret. In the first chapter of the book, there is a handwritten letter from Freddie's daughter in which she says: 'Freddie Mercury was and is my father. We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and throughout the final 15 years of his life. 'He adored me and was devoted to me. The circumstances of my birth may seem, by most people's standards, unusual and even outrageous. That should come as no surprise. It never detracted from his commitment to love and look after me. He cherished me like a treasured possession.' Lesley-Ann Jones said: 'I am surprised by Mary Austin's response. As a journalist I approached her for interview countless times over many years, but she never once responded. In this book, however, there is only one voice: that of Freddie's daughter herself. The story is hers. The quotes are hers. Her source is the collection of 17 handwritten diaries that Freddie gave her three weeks before he died. In a lengthy statement, B outlined the reasons why she came to collaborate with Lesley-Ann. She said: 'In response to recent criticism, which I am sure will only increase with media coverage, the forthcoming documentary and the book's imminent publication, I want to say that it was my decision alone to contact Lesley-Ann Jones. The reasons and circumstances that led me to contact her, and why her, are explained in the book. I think it's also important that I say that I approve of the book. 'Some people are accusing her of having made the whole story up, and of taking advantage of me. I want to be very clear about this. It's not just about defending her, it's also about defending myself. 'I want to say that, after I had read the first draft of the book, the writer respected my request to remove certain passages that contained information I had revealed to her but which I subsequently decided I didn't want to be published. 'She always respected my requests, wanting me to be fully satisfied with the final version. At no time did she take advantage of me. I want the public to know that I couldn't find a more attentive, patient and caring writer, and that I personally approved the final, definitive version for publication. 'The past 34 years have been, for his fans, about the songs he didn't write, sing or record and the gigs he didn't perform. But for me - and I'm sure for his other close and loved ones too - these years have been about all the things we were not able to do together: discussions we couldn't have, questions we couldn't ask and answers we didn't get to give. They have been about confessions we couldn't confide, laughter we couldn't share, games we couldn't play. About the birthdays, Christmases, moments and time we never got to enjoy together.'

Acomb cat becomes much-loved mascot at a York Library
Acomb Explore library has barely been open two hours and already there's a team member sleeping on the job - and in full view of the customers for Betty the cat, napping is all part of her unofficial job description, as the self-appointed feline mascot."She comes in pretty much every day - quite often she'll see me parking up my bike or my car and she'll come and meet me, waiting to be let in," manager Fiona Reilly explains."She's such a friendly cat and she's a little bit of a superstar in the local community." The six-year-old, black and white cat first appeared at the library several years ago, during a particularly hot summer, when she took to cooling off in the shade of the dubbed her 'The Great Catsby' before discovering not only did she have a real name, but also a loving family and two feline siblings, living close by. Owner Laura Backhouse said she wasn't aware her beloved pet had taken to visiting the library, until her neighbour showed her a picture posted from Acomb Explore's social to her, Betty has always preferred the company of humans, and will return home for the evening as soon as the family are back from work and school."From my perspective, I always know where she is - she's safe, looked after and happy," she says."I know people love her, and I think it's lovely."Visitors to the library can expect to find Betty in numerous places, including sunbathing in the community garden, although her favourite spot is by the reception desk. There's even an extra chair available at all times, should a member of staff find theirs chosen as a prime people-watching position. The library's reading and learning advisor Katie says Betty established herself very quickly as a much-loved addition by adults and children alike. "She's the most patient cat I've ever met in my life, the only thing I've seen her go for is an elastic band," she says."She's quite a comfort - she's like a therapy cat."Although she might be caught having more naps than her human counterparts, Betty "does her bit for fundraising for the library", according to Fiona. A local artist recently produced some greeting cards illustrated with her likeness, which are available for also a regular fixture of the library's social media page, encouraging children to take part in reading Spratt, IT manager for Explore York Libraries, says he always makes sure to give Betty a fuss when he's onsite."She's such a gentle soul, she's always really nice with the children. She'll just sit in the corner and keep an eye on things." During her tenure as the library's mascot there have been few things that phase Betty - but she has got very particular taste in music. "We had the opera here and as soon as they started up, she shot out of the building," Fiona says."But we had a choir here the other day and she really liked that. So she's very specific in what she likes."Betty has also established a weekly routine over the last few years, one that Fiona says library staff and users hope will continue as long as possible."She's just a staple of the library and everybody knows about her," she adds."She just cheers everybody up".
