The Texas Ranch Roundup is the 'original' event designed to replicate the big cattle roundups of the late 1800s and early 1900s. In 1981, it was the first of the hundreds of ranch rodeos throughout North America. The first event committee determined the participating ranches would be full-time, historic Texas cattle ranches. The participants would be only owners, full-time hands, and immediate family members. They also determined that the ranch families should be involved outside the arena to showcase real ranch life and the talents that exist in the families.
The committee also developed the rules largely followed in ranch rodeos today. The committee's voting members are the designated representatives from each participating ranches. While many rules have been tweaked over the years, the event has remained true to its core principles.
The legacy of the Texas ranches, the integrity of the participants, and the ranches' dedication to the benefiting charities have made the event successful beyond the dreams of the founding group.

Gal Gadot Says 'Pressure' To 'Speak Out Against Israel' Led To ‘Snow White' Flopping: 'I Was Disappointed'
In a recent interview, Gal Gadot blamed the 'pressure on celebrities to speak out against Israel' as the reason that 'greatly affected' the box office failure of Disney's live-action Snow White. The actress appeared on the Israeli celebrity interview program The A Talks on Thursday, per The Jerusalem Post, where one interviewer questioned if she was angry about the dismal theatrical performance of the adaptation also starring Rachel Zegler. More from Deadline 'Freakier Friday' Soundtrack: All The Songs In The Sequel Disney Entertainment Consolidates Film, TV & Streaming Marketing Under Asad Ayaz; Shannon Ryan Adds DTC Oversight ESPN And Fox Will Bundle Their Soon-To-Launch Streaming Services 'First of all, I have to say that I really enjoyed filming this movie,' Gadot said in Hebrew, per the Post. When pressed specifically on how it was to work with Zegler, Gadot responded, 'I even enjoyed working with Rachel Zegler. We laughed, we talked and it was fun. I was sure that this movie was going to be a huge success.' Gadot served in the Israeli Defense Forces for two years as part of her mandatory conscription, during which she participated in the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war; Lebanon cited her service as the reason for banning Wonder Woman upon its 2017 release, The Washington Post reported at the time. Meanwhile, Zegler has been a vocal supporter of Palestine and Gaza, which reportedly did not go over well with Snow White producer Marc Platt amid promotion of the film. Gadot continued, 'And then October 7 happened, and what's happening in all kinds of industries, and also in Hollywood, is that there's a lot of pressure on celebrities to speak out against Israel.' She added that she 'can always explain and try to give people in the world context about what's happening and what the reality is here, but in the end, people decide for themselves. I was disappointed that the movie was greatly affected by that and didn't do well at the box office.' According to leading humanitarian groups and experts — such as the UN Special Committee, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders and international law scholars — Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians. A May 2025 IPC analysis projected catastrophic levels of food insecurity for the entire population of Gaza by September, meaning at least half a million people are expected to be in IPC Phase 5 — the highest phase, known as catastrophe — which is marked by acute malnutrition and mortality. In late May, five protesters were detained after reportedly targeting the central London set of Gadot's upcoming movie The Runner. Two months earlier, the actress' Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony was delayed by protesters representing both pro-Palestine and pro-Israel groups. Ultimately, Disney weathered an estimated $115 million loss on Snow White. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle fans are not too happy about Channing Tatum being cast in the English-language version of the anime film
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. As new anime movie Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle continues to rule over the Japanese box office, Channing Tatum's casting in the upcoming English-language version has left many Demon Slayer fans confused. The Deadpool & Wolverine star has been cast as Keizo in the English dubbed version of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. However, many anime fans believe that the casting is not fair to other voice actors in the industry, and feel that Taum has only been cast because he is a big Hollywood name. "There are some [English-language voice actors] who are not happy that Channing Tatum was cast in the latest Demon Slayer movie... and the complaints are 100% valid," said one fan on Twitter (X). "Any VA would and should feel slighted when a big-name actor is cast in an anime role, especially in a movie as big as Infinity Castle." It seems like other fans feel the same, as one replied, "Love Channing Tatum... I just feel this is kinda a slap in the face to everyone else." Another added, "This might potentially be the start of US dubbing companies phasing out actual experienced anime dub actors for Hollywood talent. And that would be a very bad thing." However, other Demon Slayer heads feel that Tatum, who is a fan of the series, deserves a chance. After all, the star is only in a minor role. "But what if he does a completely fine and normal job at it?" pointed out one fan. It is important to note that big actors being cast in anime projects is no new thing, with Robert Pattinson starring in The Boy and the Heron, and Star Wars actor Mark Hamill appearing in the anime series Immortal Grand Prix, just to name two examples. Tatum joins the original English dub voice cast from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series, including Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro Kamado, Abby Trott as Nezuko Kamado, Aleks Le as Zenitsu Agatsuma, Bryce Papenbrook as Inosuke Hashibira, Johnny Yong Bosch as Giyu Tomikoa and Erika Harlacher as Shinobu Kocho. Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the movie is the first of an upcoming trilogy based on the Infinity Castle arc from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga. The film follows demon slayer Tanjiro Kamado as he faces his biggest challenge yet when he is plunged into a demon's stronghold known as the Infinity Castle in a bid to save the head of the Corps. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will hit US and UK cinemas on September 12, 2025.
