Apple's Beats Studio Buds+ offer premium sound and a glorious design at a staggeringly low price now

Should you be waiting for Apple to release the long overdue AirPods Pro 3 (which may or may not happen this year) before purchasing your next wireless earbuds? Almost certainly not, as there are so many great options you can buy today at phenomenal prices with outstanding features and capabilities in tow. The Beats Studio Buds Plus, for instance, are manufactured by the same Cupertino-based tech giant behind your favorite mobile platform, natively supporting both iPhones and Android handsets, and somehow, costing just $84.95 at the time of this writing in brand-new condition.
$85 off (50%) True Wireless Earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, Spatial Audio, IPX4 Water Resistance, Class 1 Bluetooth, Up to 9 Hours of Uninterrupted Music Listening, 36 Hours of Combined Battery Life, Pocket-Sized Charging Case with USB-C Connector, Transparent Color, Brand-New Condition, 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty Included Buy at Woot True Wireless Earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, Spatial Audio, IPX4 Water Resistance, Class 1 Bluetooth, Up to 9 Hours of Uninterrupted Music Listening, 36 Hours of Combined Battery Life, Pocket-Sized Charging Case with USB-C Connector, Ivory Color, Renewed Buy at Amazon That's incredibly down from a $169.95 list price, and if Woot's killer new deal happens to feel familiar, it might be because it's actually extremely similar to a promotion run by the same Amazon-owned e-tailer last month. The key difference is that your 85 bucks were only enough to buy you refurbished units back then, which obviously makes this latest offer (with a 1-year manufacturer warranty included) even more compelling. Equipped with top-of-the-line active noise cancellation, Transparency Mode, and a custom acoustic platform that promises to deliver "rich, immersive sound" both during your music listening sessions and voice calls, the Beats Studio Buds+ are arguably some of the best wireless earbuds money can buy right now and unquestionably among the greatest budget-friendly earbuds around. As in, you're probably looking at a top three (if not top one) low-cost product here, capable of eclipsing not just the expensive Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro or Google Pixel Buds Pro 2, but the likes of the Galaxy Buds FE and Pixel Buds A-Series as well in terms of bang for your buck.
That would obviously not be possible without solid battery life and a stylish design, and without a doubt, the Studio Buds Plus also earn high marks in both those departments, keeping your favorite tunes going for up to 9 hours sans interruption, jumping to a 36-hour rating when the bundled charging case is also factored in, and perhaps most importantly, turning heads and blowing minds with a transparent "color."
The see-through model is actually the only one sold by Woot at a crazy low price of $84.95 today, but if you'd rather get an "ivory" flavor and save a few extra bucks in the process, you can go on Amazon and pick up a "renewed" unit... with unspecified warranty conditions. Switch to a 2-month Total 5G or 5G+ plan with Total Wireless and score this foldable deal.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold reportedly faces delays, will arrive after the other three models

A week ago, a tipster contacted us to say that the Google Pixel 10 Pro will go on pre-order immediately after it gets unveiled on August 20. We wondered whether this time the whole family will launch simultaneously or whether some will arrive late like what happened with the Pixel 9 series. And now we have our answer – due to some delays, the launch will be in two stages. First, the 'regular' phones will arrive on schedule – the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL pre-orders will start on August 20, shipping and open sales will start on August 28. These will be available from October 9, around two weeks after the non-folding Pixel 10 trio launches. Pre-orders will likely start on August 20, though. Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a (leaked renders) It's not clear what caused the delay – supply chain speed bumps may be the issue, but we just don't know. The Fold shares some components with the rest of its Pixel 10 siblings, like the Tensor G5, for example. That said, there are some things that could have caused headaches – like the first-ever IP68 rating on a foldable. The 10 Pro Fold will also have a bigger battery and a new 6.4' cover display. We won't even guess what might have gone wrong with the Pixel Watch 4 and new affordable TWS buds. Source (in German)

Android Auto's new look is here, but not everyone's on board

Android Auto just got a rare design update, but not everyone is happy about it. As part of a recent rollout, Google applied its Material You interface to Android Auto's music player, creating a more unified look that matches your phone's wallpaper. The problem is that it replaces the dynamic album art backgrounds, and some users are calling it a visual downgrade. Top is before and bottom is after. | Image credit — @Adil15101 The music player now pulls background colors from your Android wallpaper instead of using the currently playing track's album art. This change was meant to bring consistency across the interface, but it's also flattened the look and stripped away one of the music player's most distinctive visual user Adil15101 shared a side-by-side image comparing the old and new layouts. The older interface displayed vibrant backgrounds tied to the music, while the new one opts for blander, wallpaper-based palettes that don't always fit the vibe of what you're listening to. This design decision follows a broader update we recently covered, where Android Auto officially adopted Material You theming. The update allows your car's display to match your Android phone's wallpaper color palette, bringing a more cohesive visual identity across screens. While some users appreciate the polish, it's clear the music player changes have proven controversial. So much unused space... | Image credit — @flcinusa The update also tweaks the layout. The seekbar has been moved below the timestamp, and the album art is now smaller, creating what many are calling a cluttered-yet-empty feel — particularly on cars with portrait-oriented displays. Reddit user flcinusa noted that the already-reduced album art looks 'comically tiny' on their display. While the repositioned seekbar may reduce accidental touches, it creates odd spacing and visual imbalance, making better use of the space feel like an afterthought. To be fair, Material You is a big UI leap for Android Auto, which has traditionally been more utilitarian and function-focused. Google has also confirmed it's also working on a light theme, climate control integration, and Gemini AI voice features — all part of a broader push to modernize the platform. But for now, this refresh seems to be the decision based on the users' feedback. And for music lovers used to bold, dynamic album art backgrounds, this latest change might feel more like a step backward than forward.
