Inspired by his father's journey and uplifted by his uncle Malesh Narredu's performance at Ascot sixteen years ago, Suraj Narredu is all set to lead the debut of Team Asia at the Dubai Duty Free Shergar is one of the youngest jockeys to have over 2,400 career wins, including 110 Classics and over 250 Group races. Over 200 Athletes from 19 Countries to compete in World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze
Bhubaneswar, Aug 1 (UNI) More than 200 athletes from 19 countries are set to participate in 20 events during the prestigious World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze competition, to be held at Bhubaneswar's Kalinga Stadium on August 10. Speaking during a review of the ongoing preparations at the stadium, Odisha Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj said, 'Hosting the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze in Odisha for the first time is a matter of immense pride. We are fully prepared to organize it successfully.' The review meeting focused on ensuring a seamless experience for participants and spectators, covering key aspects such as world-class sports infrastructure, hospitality, and security arrangements. The Minister emphasized that comprehensive plans are in place for athlete safety, crowd management, and deployment of police personnel. He assured that adequate administrative measures are being implemented to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. He further stated that hosting such a globally recognized athletics competition reflects Odisha's growing stature as a leading sports hub in India.
