Iraq's President arrives in Spain for FfD4
On Sunday, Iraq's President Abdul Latif Rashid arrived in Spain to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), held in the southern city of Seville, according to a statement from the Presidency.
The president, accompanied by First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed and a delegation of advisors and government officials, is expected to take part in sessions focused on improving access to development finance, addressing economic disparities, and fostering international partnerships to support national development plans.

Baghdad to host major global real estate conference
Shafaq News – Baghdad Baghdad is set to host the largest international real estate investment conference at the end of this month, with participation from major global development companies operating out of Dubai. The three-day event will bring together top-tier real estate firms including DAMAC, Emaar, Sobha, Samana, and LEOS, each presenting their latest projects and investment opportunities to Iraqi investors. Ismail Saad, coordinator at Ibram Real Estate, told Shafaq News, "More than 20 Emirati and international companies will attend the conference. All are active in the UAE and are considered among the leading developers in the region." He added, "Our goal is twofold: to attract Iraqi investors interested in opportunities in Dubai, and to encourage global companies to consider Iraq by familiarizing themselves with the local investment climate and exploring potential opportunities here."

Israel launches second phase of Gaza ground assault
Shafaq News – Gaza Israel launched the second phase of Gideon's Chariots military operation, marking the start of a ground assault on Gaza, army spokesperson Effie Defrin revealed on Wednesday. Defrin told Israeli reporters that the army has begun preliminary operations and the first stages of the attack on Gaza City, with forces now controlling its outskirts. Defrin added that the army's 99th Division is operating in al-Zaytoun in southeastern Gaza City, where troops recently uncovered a Hamas tunnel, while additional forces are preparing to join fighting in Jabalia after heavy bombardment. He further claimed that the military is providing humanitarian and civil services to residents during the operation.
