Four rushed to hospital after horror three-vehicle crash on Fife road
Four people have been rushed to hospital following a horror three-vehicle crash on a road in Fife.
Emergency services were called to Invertiel Road in Kirkcaldy after the alarm was raised at around 5.50pm on Wednesday, July 30.
Officers from Police Scotland were responding to reports of a crash involving a white Seat Leon, a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a black Toyota Auris.
Ambulance crews attended and three men aged 64, 56 and 19 and a female, aged 17, were rushed to Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment. The conditions are currently unknown.
Pictures taken from the scene show the three vehicles badly damaged following the smash.
The front of the Corsa and Toyota could be seen to be crushed as a result of the impact, while the driver's side of the Seat was also caved in.
The area was closed to off for over six hours to allow police to carry out enquiries at the scene. The road reopened at around 12.15am on Thursday and officers are now appealing for information.

Sergeant Lee Walkinshaw said: 'Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash, or saw the vehicles involved prior to the collision, to contact us.
'I would also ask anyone who was on the road around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.'

The unnamed BBC star, who allegedly showed the unsolicited nude snap to a junior colleague, is said to be one of the highest earners in the Beeb this year. A well known female star on the BBC has reportedly been involved in a shocking scandal after allegedly showing an unsolicited nude snap to a junior colleague which comes as the latest controversy under the broadcaster's watch. According to The Sun, the presenter, who has not yet been named, is said to be a high earner in the company and ranked in the Corporation's top 50 highest paid this year. The unnamed star allegedly showed a graphic image of a nude man's genitals on her phone during a conversation about personal preferences, leaving the recipient 'completely horrified". The identity of the male in the snap remains unknown but insiders claim the interaction was intended as 'jokey, locker-room banter". However, the situation took an uncomfortable turn and is said to have left the junior staff member in tears. A source described the scandal as a "ticking time bomb". They warned: 'As soon as the name of this woman - and details of her bad behaviour - are unleashed, it will derail entire departments and mark the first female to be formally swept up into the BBC's wrongdoing roll call.
