David Hekili Kenui Bell appeared in the live-action Lilo & Stitch
A Disney actor starring in a new film has died weeks after its release. David Hekili Kenui Bell recently appeared in the live-action remake of the Disney classic Lilo & Stitch that premiered in cinemas in May this year.
But his family have now confirmed his death in a heartfelt statement posted on social media on Monday, June 16. David's sister Jalene announced the tragedy on Facebook, confirming he died the previous day and describing him a "sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant, and handsome" brother.
She revealed that whilst she never had a father figure as a child, "David gave me all the unconditional love I could possibly ask for and I believe that all his family and friends received the same from him."
Jalene expressed how she had met David at her graduation after "asking for years" to meet him. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter
She wrote: "He was always so proud of me, his nieces, and his grandnephew, constantly engaged and always coming up with fun activities to get together.
"We looked forward to going to Tahiti and the Lindsey reunion together to create more family connections."

The last time Jalene spent with David was when he invited their family to the movie premiere of Lilo & Stitch in Kapolei.
She said: "He planned ahead and purchased the best seats in the house for us all to go together to opening night in Kapolei just two short weeks ago.
"That's one trait we didn't share, planning ahead. We talked about and were so energised by the fans dressed in LandS gear head to toe, t-shirts, onesies, hats, masks, and the merch galore flying off the shelf as we stood in line for popcorn."
As well as the Disney film, the Hawaiian actor made appearances on popular shows like Magnum P. I. and Hawaii Five-0 and was the voice of the P.A. system at Kona Airport.
David's agent Lashauna Downie, expressed her shock with TMZ, saying: "I am learning like you through social media. This is heart breaking and sad. He was one of my best talent and embodied the true meaning of aloha... a gentle giant."
Fans took to X to express their grief, with one saying: "rest easy, mahalo for the memories and the mana you gave this world."

Another said: "Aw man, RIP to the Lilo and Stitch legend. Gone too soon."

Cruz and Romeo Beckham's aimed posts as Victoria is 'disgusted' by Brooklyn

Romeo Beckham and his younger brother Cruz have both shared cryptic social media posts about 'family' as the fallout from Brooklyn Peltz Beckham's snub continues Brooklyn Beckham 's younger brothers have taken to social media to share a series of cryptic posts about "family" and being "vain" amid the ongoing family drama. It comes as Victoria and other family members have reportedly been left "disgusted". The eldest of the clan Brooklyn, 26, snubbed his dad David's 50th birthday celebrations and the news he will be awarded a knighthood. Romeo, 22, whose ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull recently broke her silence on the feud, has been hinting at his true feelings. ‌ He posted about "unnecessary lies" just hours after Kim's post. On Instagram, he shared a photo of him and a pal, labelling it "family" with a crossed fingers emoji, reports the Mirror. ‌ Romeo also then shared a series of throwback photos of his parents, David and Victoria in their younger days, including some with a pram or one of their sons. Similarly, his younger brother Cruz shared a cryptic screenshot of the Carly Simon hit "You're So Vain", followed by a poster with the lyrics: "If I would stick my pen in my heart/ Spill it all over the stage/ Would it satisfy you?" The social media posts from the brothers come as David's significant knighthood achievement continues to be overshadowed by their fallout with eldest son Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30. David Beckham is set to receive a prestigious honour at Buckingham Palace later this year, but the glow of achievement may be somewhat dimmed as reports suggest his son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law Nicola will not be present. While David will enjoy the support of Victoria, 51, and their children Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, it's believed Brooklyn will give his dads momentous day a miss. ‌ "Sadly there's no question of Brooklyn being involved. The whole family is disgusted with him. It's left a very dark cloud over everyone at the worst possible time. Barring some sort of miracle, there's no way that Brooklyn is going to show up," a source disclosed to Heat Magazine. Despite the other children sharing and celebrating David's momentous occasion on social media, Brooklyn's silence did not go unnoticed during his father's realisation of a lifelong dream. This apparent disregard has especially angered Victoria, who is said to be livid with her eldest son and deeply upset by his inaction. ‌ "The whole family is devastated by the current situation. The tension had been there for a while but no-one thought in a million years that it would turn this toxic. Victoria can't fathom why Brooklyn hasn't been in touch to apologise. She's furious with him, but also heartbroken," revealed the insider. Victoria Beckham couldn't contain her joy as she paid tribute to her husband David after the news of his knighthood was announced. The former Spice Girl shared a heartfelt post on social media, uploading an adorable snap of the two and writing, "You've always been my knight in shining armour, but now it's official. Sir @davidbeckham! ! ! What an honour, I couldn't be prouder of you." She added, "Your dedication to the things that matter most - your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family - has never wavered. The way you've touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us every day. But above all else, I'm so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx".

David Hekili Kenui Bell, ‘Lilo & Stitch' actor, dies at 46

Actor David Hekili Kenui Bell, who appeared in Disney's 'Lilo & Stitch' live adaption that released last month, has died, according to his family and a representative. He was 46. His sister, Jolene Kanani Bell, announced his passing on Facebook Sunday. 'It is with a heavy heart I share that my sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant and handsome little brother David H. K. Bell will spend today in the company of our Heavenly Father,' she wrote. "I've been waiting for the words and mindset to properly express the joy of a human, and Prince of a Man he was, but fate pushed my hand this morning by a pre-scheduled Father's Day newsletter honoring the men in our lives," she continued. No cause of death was disclosed. Bell explained that she met her little brother at the age of 18 on her high school graduation day. 'It was the most amazing surprise which I had been asking for for years, that our mom's made happen for us, and that gift has lasted a lifetime,' she wrote. 'While I didn't grow up with a Father, David gave me all the unconditional love I could possibly ask for and I believe that all his family and friends received the same from him.' She remembered her brother as loving and engaged with his nieces and grandnephew. She also described his deep love for acting and doing voiceovers, and how excited he was over his big break in "Lilo & Stitch." 'He recently made it on to the big screen with an iconic Lilo & Stitch moment,' his sister wrote. 'He planned ahead and purchased the best seats in the house for us all to go together to opening night in Kapolei just two short weeks ago." She said they felt "energized" by seeing the fans show up dressed in "Lilo & Stitch" merch, hats and masks and they celebrated by eating shaved ice after the movie. She concluded her post by reflecting on their last time together. 'Hug your loved ones today…our last time together after returning home from the movie was just sitting on my living room couch talking story about life, having a seltzer and doing a little genealogy." "Blessed by this and all the big and small moments, I will keep our memories alive,' she wrote. The actor's management agency, Bliss Models and Talent, paid tribute to Bell on Instagram. "I just heard the news of David H.K. Bell's passing 💔," agency owner Lashauna Downie wrote. She remembered Bell as "one of the best talent, a gentle giant with lots of aloha!" "You will be deeply missed. It was a true blessing seeing you rise to fame yet continue to be your humble self ⭐️. My thoughts & prayers go out to David's entire Ohana," Downie wrote.
