Ali Fazal rose to prominence with a series of standout performances on the digital front. His most notable show has been the Mirzapur series. In a chat with Hindi Rush, Ali said, 'We are all very excited, and the original cast is coming back for it, and just last week, I heard the script. It's very nice. It's going to be a big surprise for everyone."
Ali added that the movie will not follow the show. He said, 'Peaky Blinders has done the same format. They are making a film out of that." As for the show, Ali shared, 'That (the new season) is still being written because… I don't know… It will probably be the last season."
When asked about the controversial scenes and language in OTT shows, Ali said, 'When it was new, people were just abusing in all the OTT shows. All the OTT shows were just about crass language and sex, it was heightened, I think. It just felt like people were venting, but slowly, everything has been normalised. Shedding light on the possible casting of the upcoming season, it is set to feature some familiar faces, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Vijay Varma, and Isha Talwar, reprising their roles.
