Get To Know Nounou, The Swimwear Brand For Your Radar

Inspired by the 1970s and her her mother's love for cotton bikinis, Anouchka Houser got thinking. When she struggled to find swimwear that felt both flattering and fun, everything slotted into place, and her swimwear brand, nounou was born. Expect a small but perfectly formed line of flirty cotton bikinis and bathing suits that call to the Mediterranean sun (talking of which, the label can be found at the super-chic Agora Ibiza). The chicness doesn't stop there as there's a seashell clasp, created with Jessica McCormack, of course the fellow London-based label who's famous for her fine jewels, which has become signature. Anouchka and her mother nounou Anouchka talks body positivity, retro inspiration, and the timeless appeal of nounou. Anouchka Houser: I had the idea for nounou 20 years ago, after my first child was born. I had my mother's cotton bikini from the '70s and wanted to create something with the same nostalgic aesthetic. Through a lot of encouragement and support from dear girlfriends, particularly Karl Templer, after years of dreaming, I finally had the courage to give it a go! AH: I couldn't find anything on the market made of cotton and felt this was missing. Also, as a mother of four I found it increasingly harder to find bikinis with coverage that felt flattering for post pregnancy. I wanted something that was minimal but still sexy, with shapes to fit most body types. AH: My great friend Jessica McCormack has been a huge inspiration and champion of nounou. During Covid I talked her through my concept, and we came up with the idea to create a signature shell clasp together, based on one of her designs. FC: What are the cornerstones of the company? AH: It's made in London; each piece is handcrafted from beautiful 100% cotton and a lingerie-like feel Italian jersey fabric. I have an incredible team of women with many years of experience between us in fashion and lingerie, they and friends are the heart of nounou. FC: How do you want someone to feel in nounou? AH: No matter how we feel about ourselves, I want women to feel confident and good about their bodies when they wear nounou. FC: What was on your mood board for the debut collection? AH: I had a crazy moodboard! A lot of references from the '60s and '70s and the photograph of my mother, which sits on our website which was the ultimate starting point. FC: What can we expect from the line? AH: The collection is ever evolving. Building on our successes, this season we introduced printed checks to the jersey collection, with synergistic solid colors. Introducing our 'forever black collection' was a milestone. A team member reminded me 'it's always sunny somewhere' so we aim to always have black pieces in stock. As we continue to grow, I've been humbled by the positive feedback from our customers, friends, and supporters of the brand. Realising we weren't catering to some women's needs, we will be introducing A and DD cups into our underwired styles for the new collection. We've even gone one step further with our jersey collection, adding a supportive layer of fabric for the bust, whilst gently sculpting the body of the swimsuits. Next season alongside the woven's, the jersey collection sees a return to femininity with retro florals prints, styled with natural wood-inspired rings. Our signature seashell clasp has been given a soft matte brushed gold finish - our nod to the classic styles of the era. FC: What's your favorite piece right now and why? AH: The Zoe swimsuit, named after my mother. I try to swim several times a week, so I like my swimsuit to be practical. It's super comfortable, hugs and supports my body. It's timeless, effortless but also a little cheeky. FC: What's the long-term plan for the brand? AH: I'm looking forward to exploring new print ideas and colors but my wish is to introduce some staple beachwear pieces, that can carry you from the beach to evening and for my customer to treasure their nounou's for years to come. Ozzy Osbourne ‘was in peace' in the final days before his heartbreaking death: report

The Prince of Darkness reportedly found tranquility in the final days leading up to his death. 'Ozzy's final days were spent in England, surrounded by family, music and in the place he called home,' a source told People Wednesday. 'He was in peace.' The insider explained that Osbourne — who died on Tuesday at the age of 76 — had moved to Buckinghamshire in 2023 with his wife, Sharon, for their 'final chapter' as his health declined. 'Sharon had wanted to move back to England for years, especially as she got older,' they divulged. 'England was always home for them, but it became more than that.' 'It was about creating peace and the best life possible together in their final chapter,' they continued. 'The path back to England wasn't easy. His health has been fragile for years.' The insider explained that the move across the pond was 'a gift, because they got a year and half together, at home.' The rocker's family revealed his death in an emotional statement to Page Six. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,' his family said. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.' Prior to his death, Ozzy delivered the final performance of his life in the Black Sabbath farewell concert — dubbed 'Back to the Beginning' — on July 5. The metal icon and reality TV star battled Parkinson's disease, as well as the debilitating effects of a 2003 quad bike accident, for years leading up to his death. Ozzy shared his stage 2 Parkinson's diagnosis on 'Good Morning America' in 2020. 'There's so many different types of Parkinson's — it's not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body,' Sharon, 72, explained during the joint interview. 'And it's like you have a good day and then a really bad day.' In 2019, the Black Sabbath frontman suffered a fall that knocked loose multiple metal rods in his body — he had received15 screws in his spine following the brutal 2003 accident. 'When I had the fall, it was pitch black, I went to the bathroom and I fell,' he recalled to GMA. 'I just fell and landed like a slam on the floor and I remember lying there thinking, 'Well, you've done it now,' really calm. Sharon [called] an ambulance. After that, it was all downhill.' Amid his declining health, his daughter Kelly, 40, pushed back after a fake AI video claimed the rocker was dying earlier this month. 'It has a voice like my dad's David Attenborough or something. And it starts out saying, 'I don't need a doctor to tell me that I'm going to die. I know I'm going to die,'' Kelly said via Instagram Stories, per E! News. 'What the f–k is wrong with you people?' the 'Fashion Police' alum said. 'Why would you spend your time making a video like this?' 'Yes, he has Parkinson's, and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he's not dying. What is wrong with you?' she said.

3 Must-Watch Movies Coming to Netflix in August 2025: ‘The Thursday Murder Club' and More

July isn't over yet, but Watch With Us is already looking forward to August. Can you blame us? Netflix is scheduled to stream some killer movies like the original Jurassic Park trilogy and the cult comedy classic Wet Hot American Summer. In addition to those films, you should stream The Thursday Mystery Club, a new mystery movie starring Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. If that's not violent enough for you, try The Departed, Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning crime drama. Netflix subscribers who crave something less violent should stick with Clueless, the 30-year-old comedy with Alicia Silverstone that's gone out of style. 'The Thursday Murder Club' (2025) Murder is more popular than ever these days — at least on Netflix. The streamer has released one hit mystery show or movie after another, with Untamed, Secrets We Keep and Copycat topping the most popular charts this summer. Netflix saved its biggest release for last with The Thursday Murder Club, a highly anticipated feature film adaptation of Richard Osman's bestselling book. For those who haven't read it, The Thursday Murder Club is about four retirees who meet every Thursday at their retirement community in Kent to solve cold cases in their spare time. The fun and games soon give way to an actual murder when a property developer turns up dead. The real police are on the case, but for Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley) and Joyce (Celia Imrie), it's a mystery they think only they can solve. But are these amateur sleuths right? Or are they so in over their heads that they may wind up six feet under? Fans of cozy mystery shows like Midsomer Murders and Grantchester will surely enjoy The Thursday Murder Club, which leans more on being a comedy rather than a suspenseful thriller. The cast of British pros can't be beat, and they're supported by an equally impressive roster of actors that includes David Tennant, Richard E. Grant and Naomi Ackie. 'The Departed' (2006) The Departed's plot is ingenious: Irish mob boss Frank (Jack Nicholson) installs one of his men, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon), in the Boston police department to spy on them. At the same time, the Boston police send one of their own, Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio), deep undercover in Frank's criminal organization. Both sides realize they've been infiltrated, but they don't know who it is — yet. It's only a matter of time before both Colin and Billy are found out — the only question left to be answered is whose real identity will be revealed first? Loosely adapted from the equally excellent Hong Kong thriller Infernal Affairs, The Departed is a Scorsese movie from top to bottom. The veteran director won his only Oscar so far for his work, and it's deserved just for the suspenseful third act alone. DiCaprio and Damon have never been better as stooges caught in a violent game they tire of playing, and Nicholson has one of his best late-career roles as an oily criminal kingpin whose luck is running out fast. 'Clueless' (1995) Has it really been 30 years since Clueless first debuted in theaters and stole everyone's hearts? We'll refrain from quoting the movie's signature line, 'As if!,' but you get the picture. It's been a while, but time hasn't softened Clueless' satirical bite — or Alicia Silverstone's pitch-perfect performance as the not-so-clueless Cher. Cher is 16 years old and, along with her best friend Dionne (Stacey Dash), queen of her social circle. But when she decides to play matchmaker for new friend Tai (Brittany Murphy), her whole world turns upside down, and she begins to look at everyone, including her ex-stepbrother Josh (Paul Rudd), in a whole new way. Can this spoiled socialite experience the same kind of romantic love she finds for others? Or will she always be a 'virgin who can't drive'? From the fashion to the tunes by Jill Sobule and Counting Crows, Clueless is dated — but in a good way. It's refreshingly '90s, when someone can make a joke about grunge music and still seem relevant. The cast is terrific, but this is Silverstone's show, and she delivers one of the great comedic performances of the decade. Clueless is an eternal rewatchable movie — day or night, summer or winter, it just works, and it should be in your Netflix queue even if you've already seen it a dozen times.
