FILM star Gerard Butler has paid tribute to his late mum who died earlier this year.
The Scots actor, 55, stepped out for the Brazilian premiere of the How to Train Your Dragon live-action remake this week.

He is reprising his role as Stoick, the Viking leader in the upcoming flick.
Butler's late mum, Margaret Coll, was honoured at the end of the showing.
She died earlier this year aged 81.
A post shared by Butler on Instagram shows a slide reading: "Dedicated to the loving memory of Margaret Coll."
Butler was a regular in the village of Comrie, Perthshire, where his mother lived for more than 20 years.
Fans of the star flocked to the comments to send their condolences following the sad news.
One wrote: "She'll always be by your side, supporting you and loving you more than anyone else.
"And yes, she was definitely there with you, smiling and making those funny faces."
Another said: "Your mother is watching you from above and is very, very proud of you."
A third put: "That's a very sweet dedication."

The Paisley-born star, who shot to stardom playing a Spartan hunk in movie 300, was recently spotted cosying up with his ex at a star-studded Hollywood gathering.
Butler and former flame Morgan Brown, 52, rubbed shoulders with the likes of Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz at a 45th birthday bash for actor Oliver Trevena.
The actor now spends his time between Los Angeles and Glasgow.

"I sung it out loud, just out of nowhere, while I was washing the dishes. "Ran upstairs to record it, but I actually accidentally pressed pause instead of record. "So when I came back to listen later on in the day, all I could hear was me walking away from the recorder. "And I sat for about an hour while this thing went through. "And you can hear me in the house, faffing around. And then eventually, just before the tape ends, I sing it as I'm walking up the stairs. "And had I not sung that tiny little, you know, driftwood little bit, it would be gone forever. And it's one of my favourite songs." The 59 year old DJ is today tying the knot with Stavros, 32, in a star-studded ceremony where Gemma Collins and Kate Moss are undertaking the role of bridesmaids while Boy George is set to be best man. The special day is set to be a glamorous affair, as the couple will wed in a church in Earl's Court, West London, with a guest list filled to the brim with big names. Alison Hammond, David and Victoria Beckham, David Furnish, and Jedward are also expected to attend. And, just hours before he is due to walk down the aisle, Fat Tony, real name Tony Marnach, has gushed over his 'new chapter' in a sweet message. Posting an image on Instagram that read: "Love Wins Tony & Stavros" alongside their wedding date of May 31, the celebrity DJ shared some touching words in the caption. DJ Fat Tony wrote: "Here we stand at the beginning ………. The happiest chapter of my life x". In the video, the former Big Brother star said: "Oh my God, Tony, Stavros I am so excited because the forecast for Saturday is amazing! "I'm so happy for you guys," she added. "I'm so excited. I'm so excited to give you both a hug and welcome in this new and brilliant phase of your life. And I'm just sending you both so much love. I hope you're not too stressed – I don't think you will be.
