Investigators have released new details as they continue their search for a missing Tennessee man who was last seen at a coffee shop in Redlands in 2023. They say that they are now looking into the disappearance as a homicide.
Emilio Salem Ghanem, who is believed to be in his mid-40s, was reported missing shortly after he visited a Starbucks on Redlands Boulevard on May 25, 2023, according to the Redlands Police Department.
"A rented Nissan Frontier pickup that Ghanem was driving was spotted on surveillance video later that day in Grand Terrace," the release said. "Detectives have since recovered the rental truck along with other evidence."
Police say that he rented the vehicle from a location in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is described as standing about 5-foot-7 and weighing approximately 130 pounds with hazel eyes and black hair. He was 40 at the time of his disappearance, police said.
Police say that Ghanem was a member of "His Way Spirit Led Assemblies," a religious organization based in Hemet. They say that he left the organization shortly before he disappeared, and that he also worked for Fullshield, Inc. a pest control business owned and operated by the religious group. The business now operates under the name Maxguard, police said.
While looking into his disappearance, RPD detectives learned that another man who was a member of His Way Spirit Led Assemblies was also reported missing in recent years.
That case is being investigated by Claremont Police Department, who say that 49-year-old Ruben Moreno was reported missing in August 2019 and has not been seen since. They noted that he was also a member of the same religious organization as Ghanem.
Moreno is described as standing 5-foot-6 and weighing about 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
Anyone who knows more is urged to contact RPD at (909) 551-4424 or CPD at (909) 399-5411.

Man Accused of Killing 4 Family Members and Abandoning Baby in Tennessee Is Arrested

Austin Robert Drummond was arrested in Jackson, Tenn. Authorities in Tennessee say they have arrested the man accused of killing four family members and abandoning an infant in a stranger's yard. Austin Robert Drummond is accused of killing Adrianna Williams, 20, James M. Wilson, 21, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15, who were found dead on July 29, authorities said. Their bodies were discovered after James and Adrianna's baby was found 25 miles away. Following a multi-day manhunt, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Drummond was in law enforcement custody in Jackson, Tenn., on Tuesday, Aug. 5. Previously, authorities had obtained a warrant for Drummond's arrest on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, felon in possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. The victims were the mother, father, grandmother and uncle of the infant, who was found in Dyer County, police said. Drummond's empty car was found on Friday, Aug. 1, over an hour's drive away from where the four deceased individuals were located, the Dyer County Sheriff's Office said. Hacker used a voice phishing attack to steal Cisco customers' personal information

A cybercriminal tricked a Cisco representative into granting them access to steal the personal information of users, the company said on Tuesday. Cisco said it discovered the breach on July 24, blaming the incident on a voice phishing or 'vishing' call. The hackers accessed and exported 'a subset of basic profile information' from the database of a third party cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) system, according to the company's disclosure. Cisco said that the stolen data included the customer's 'name, organization name, address, Cisco assigned user ID, email address, phone number, and account-related metadata,' such as the account creation date. The networking tech giant did not specify how many users were affected by the breach, and company spokespeople did not respond to that question when TechCrunch reached out on Tuesday. As Bleeping Computer noted, this breach could be another one in a string of attacks that targeted companies' Salesforce data, including U.S. insurance giant Allianz Life, luxury retailer Tiffany and Co., Australian airline Qantas, and others. Cisco is a known customer of Salesforce, according to the cloud giant.
