In the cheeky clip, Maya cleared up any confusion about her roots as she chatted with her grandad, who proudly comes from Dollar, Clackmannanshire.
The telly favourite even gave a Scottish accent a go - much to the delight of her fans.
Maya said: "Everyone was asking if my grandad's Scottish. Yes, he is. Look!"
She turned the camera to her grandad, who wasted no time shutting down any doubts, saying: "Listen you lot, I'll tell you once and I won't tell you again. I'm f*****g Scottish, right? So no more f*****g b******t."
Maya added: "And he's from Dollar in Scotland. All I remember about Dollar is that there were loads of hills. Loads and loads of hills. The people were lovely over there. Loads of glens and castles."
The pair kept the banter going, with Maya giving a half-decent Scottish accent a shot, saying: "Too right, aye a f*****g castle. Aye man, I canny even f*****g stand it."
She then jokingly asked her grandad about his kilt, quipping: "I want to borrow that kilt."
Fans flooded the comments to praise Maya's attempt at the Scottish lingo.
One wrote: "Your accent is brilliant!"

Outlander boss reveals snubbing star in 'crazy' but key casting move
The actor narrowly missed out on a role in Outlander One of the stars from the Outlander prequel series, Blood of My Blood, tmissed out on an earlier part in the flagship show for a rather extraordinary reason. Jamie Roy, who auditioned for the minor role of Militia Man Number Two in the seventh season of Outlander, didn't secure the role, unaware that the creators had very different plans for his future within the franchise. Roy said that he was initially "gutted" at not landing the position as he saw it as a potential "big break", given how significant an appearance in Outlander is for one's acting career. However, fate had other ideas, and instead of being cast as a fleeting soldier character, Roy found himself in the role of a primary character in the prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood. He graced the screen as the young Brian Fraser, father to Sam Heughan's celebrated Highland hero Jamie Fraser in Outlander, setting him up for a swift ascent in showbiz fame, thanks to Outlander's remarkable success and Jamie Fraser's zealous fanbase, reports the Scottish Daily Express. Maril Davis, a producer who's been instrumental in the Outlander saga since its inception in 2014, reminisced about Roy's original Outlander audition in a recent chat, stating: "We were like, 'God, that guy looks a lot like Sam Heughan. That's so crazy. Oh, do we save him [for the prequel]?". However, she admitted to a moment of doubt, querying herself with "But why are we saving him for something that we don't even know is going to go?'" Speaking further to Vanity Fair, Davis expressed relief over the prequel's fruition stating: "I would've felt bad if the prequel hadn't come. But we did decide to save him." Scottish actor Roy, originally from Greenock, has previously featured in Burning Lies, Condor's Nest and Meeting Me, Meeting You. However, his role in Blood of My Blood is set to be his most significant yet. Outlander has already portrayed Brian's tragic demise with Shetland star Andrew Whipp embodying the older version of the character. Blood of My Blood will now present a younger Brian and delve into his turbulent yet passionate love affair with rival clan member Ellen MacKenzie, played by Harriet Slater. While Blood of My Blood isn't based on any literary works like Outlander, which draws inspiration from Diana Gabaldon's series of novels, snippets of Ellen and Brian's romance have been alluded to in the original series. Viewers will witness how Jamie's parents fell head over heels for each other and maintained their relationship despite familial opposition. The series will also illuminate the romantic history of Claire Fraser's (Caitríona Balfe) parents during WWI, showcasing the long-distance love story between Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield). Audiences are in for a treat with two distinct love stories set in different time periods, both promising to be equally enthralling and dramatic. Producer Davis confessed that it was a challenge to depict the two romances on screen and allocate equal screen time to each, but she expressed confidence that the production team had managed to do justice to both narratives.

Douglas Ross snubs Holyrood summit to attend 'seminar' near the Bahamas
EXCLUSIVE: The former Scottish Tory leader, who is convener of the Education Committee, will take part in the Holyrood session virtually from the the Turks and Caicos Islands. Douglas Ross is snubbing a top education summit after agreeing to fly out to a sun-kissed island near the Bahamas. The former Scottish Tory leader will not be at the Holyrood session in person as he will be in the Turks and Caicos Islands for a seminar. Ross criticised Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth last month after she missed Holyrood business to campaign in a council by-election. The Conservative MSP, who is now the convener of Holyrood's Education Committee, said at the time: 'Will Jenny Gilruth, not in her usual condescending way, give an apology to this parliament for missing this session, but more importantly, an apology to our pupils, our parents and our teachers for the disrespect she showed?' Gilruth and other SNP Ministers are set to appear in front of the Committee on June 11th, but Ross will not be in the room. He will be 4,000 miles away in the North Atlantic on Commonwealth Parliamentary Association business and will log in to the meeting from abroad. His Turks and Caicos Islands trip involves an 'election observation mission' and 'post election seminar'. Weather forecasts show the temperature on the Islands will hit 30 degrees when he is there, while a tourism website makes clear the location's key attraction: 'Our spectacular beaches and pristine marine environment are the defining feature of the country, and are the primary attraction for tourists. There are hundreds of beautiful beaches and coasts across our many islands to discover.' An SNP source said Ross, who had to leave the Holyrood chamber last week over claims he heckled First Minister John Swinney, had made a gaffe: "Throughout his time at Holyrood, Douglas Ross has treated his role as an MSP as a part-time gig to fit around his other jobs - including his various jaunts across Europe as an assistant referee. "This has been a bit of an embarrassing week for Mr Ross after he was removed from the Chamber for his poor behaviour on Thursday. After his tirade of unjustified claims about other members' parliamentary attendance it is now somewhat ironic that Mr Ross will be logging in from near the Caribbean." A Scottish Conservative spokesperson said: 'Douglas will be attending this meeting and holding the SNP 's education secretary and her colleagues to account.' Ross' time as Scottish Tory leader was dogged by claims he was not fully committed to the job. As well as being an MSP, he remained as an MP and was paid to be a linesman at football matches. He quit as leader during the general election campaign after he enraged colleagues by announcing he wanted to stay on as an MP. He will stand down as an MSP next year.

Shoppers say skincare with 'unique' ingredient is 'worth every penny' for clearing spots
The mistake many beauty fans make when it comes to building a skincare routine to tackle their complexion concerns is by going overboard with 10 different products all containing different active ingredients. Quite often, a more minimalistic but carefully curated approach could be the answer. This summer, for those who are looking for fuss-free but effective skincare to use during the hot weather, celebrity-loved skincare brand 47 Skin has released a number of bundles. Not only do they take all of the confusion out of building a skincare routine, but are also 10% off for a limited time. The retailer is offering money off their two, three and five step bundles, all containing a range of products to help achieve clearer, glowing skin by reducing redness and inflammation. But the one thing they all have in common is 47 Skin's 'secret' ingredient: Silver Chitoderm. This unique ingredient creates an invisible barrier over your skin while killing bacteria and helping reduce the appearance of stubborn marks. It also locks in long-lasting hydration, is dermatologist-approved and clinically tested, designed to calm, hydrate and support visibly clearer skin. The most affordable is the 2 Step Cleanse & Protect Bundle, which contains the brand's everyday cleanser and powerhouse serum. It forms a protective layer that renews skin cells, heals scars, reduces spots and blemishes, and prevents future breakouts. Usually £53, the bundle is now £47.50. Boasting an even better value for money, the 3-Step Treatment Bundle, now £74, features both of the above products, and the 47 Skin Silver Mask, which has been a hit with stars for helping them clear their skin. Love Island's Amber Davies has gone as far as to say she's 'probably its number one fan', telling the brand she uses it 'religiously'. For those seriously looking to invest in their routine, the 5-Step Sun-Proof Bundle stars these three products, as well as their daily moisturiser and their newly-launched Daily SPF30. The lightweight, fast-absorbing SPF is designed to protect from the sun and from breakouts. It's non-sticky, fragrance-free and provides broad-spectrum protection against UVA/UVB rays, infrared radiation and pollution. This bundle would usually set shoppers back £140, but as part of the deal, it's currently £126. Nip+Fab is known for its regime kits from £39.95, which cater to a number of skincare concerns. Similarly, Paula's Choice brought out a four-step routine for £42 that targets breakouts. It is worth noting that only 47 Skin have the iconic Silver Chitoderm in their products. Shoppers have been seriously impressed by the brand, with one user, Jo, leaving a glowing review, which read: 'I have used 47 Skin for about six months. This is the first summer that I have not had a breakout in hot weather (I'm 52)… and my complexion is generally smoother and fresher. Very happy with 47 Skin.' Another shopper wrote: 'Currently on my 3rd month of using it and got the SPF over the summer along with the extra strength serum to use on specific problem areas (usually just the odd spot irregularly around hormonal fluctuations). It is worth every penny to find something that works and brings confidence back into your life.' Some users have expressed frustration about the packaging, though. One wrote: 'Nice, feel on skin. Hard to get the complete product out of the bottle towards the end.' While a second added: 'The products themselves are great. However the packaging leaves a lot to be desired. My cleanser will not "pump" because the trigger doesn't work properly. This is the second time this has happened.' And it's not just women impressed, either. User Jason commented: 'I've just been using this product for 5 days and already my skin feels fresh with noticeably less irritation and redness. I've had no fresh breakouts for the 1st time in years.' While Lucy penned: 'My teenage son had a break-out over the summer holidays. He had countless little red spots covering his forehead and cheeks. I bought this, and within two weeks, his face is completely clear. I would definitely recommend'
