ISKANDAR PUTERI – Two men were injured after their motorcycle was struck by a Perodua Myvi on Lebuh Nusajaya, in a crash that has since gone viral on social media.
The accident occurred at about 5.55pm on Tuesday, according to Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan. Initial investigations found that the car, driven by a 22-year-old local woman, collided with a motorcycle traveling in the left lane.

"The driver is believed to have experienced 'microsleep' during the incident. She did not sustain any injuries and her statement has been recorded," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
The motorcycle rider, a 20-year-old local man, suffered a broken right thigh and arm injuries.
His pillion rider, a 22-year-old foreign man, sustained injuries to his legs and arms.
The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to contact the Iskandar Puteri District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department at 07-5101322.

KLUANG: A 51-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly driving against traffic and nearly colliding with an oncoming vehicle in Kluang. Police acted after a 24-second video of the incident went viral on social media. Kluang police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh said investigations found the incident happened at 4pm last Monday, at the Taman Megah intersection at Km57.4 of Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing. Investigations also revealed that an SUV driven by the man exited Taman Megah by using an entry ramp to enter the lane heading towards Mersing. "The SUV nearly collided with a car that was about to enter the same lane," he said in a statement. Based on the information received, a team of officers from the traffic investigation and enforcement division of the Kluang District Police Headquarters (IPD) arrested the driver for investigation. A urine screening test found the man to be negative for drugs, and the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.

SEREMBAN: A teenage boy on his way to work was killed in when his motorcycle was hit by a car along Jalan Temiang, near the Bukit Jong junction, early this morning. District police chief ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the hit-and-run accident occurred at 6.45 am and the 17-year-old victim died at the scene from severe head injuries. "The collision occurred when the victim, who worked at a petrol station, was riding his Honda RS motorcycle from Temiang towards Seremban. "Upon reaching the scene, a Mercedes-Benz driven by a 27-year-old man is believed to have gone out of control and veered into the opposite lane before colliding head-on with the victim," he said in a statement today. He said the driver fled the scene, abandoning his car. Police are tracking down the suspect and urged anyone with information to contact investigating officer Insp G. Sankar at 014-600 0353 or the nearest police station to assist in the investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. – Bernama
