Seema Pahwa breaks silence on quitting acting: 'Unhe samjha nahi pati...'
Actress Seema Pahwa clarified that she is not quitting the industry and also shared a fear that, somewhere, she might lose her creativity. Seema's comments come after a news article, where the actress revealed that she was considering quitting films due to the industry due to business-minded decisions starting to do the rounds.
The actress, who rose to prominence for her role of Badki in the popular soap opera Hum Log , took to Instagram and wrote, 'Namskar Kuch dino se ek baat Jo mann Mai ghar kar rahi hai aur sach bhi hai wo ye Ki mujhe interview dena nahi aata ya jab apni baat keheti Hun to shayad Jo interview le rahe hai unhe samjha nahi pati Baat ye hai Ki bhai mujhe film industry se bahut pyaar aur samman mila hai aur aage bhi milta rahe.' (For the past few days, there's something that's been occupying my mind, and it's the truth that I don't know how to give interviews, or when I try to speak, maybe I fail to convey my message properly to the interviewers. The thing is, I have received a lot of love and respect from the film industry, and I hope to continue receiving it in the future.)
She added: 'Mujhe shikayat nahi hai kisi se bhi Bas ek dar hai ki kahin hum dheere dheere creativity khatam na kar de Shayad mere ye shabd thik tarah se kehe nahi paye aur sabne samjha Ki Mai industry chode rahi Hun I love my industry.' (I have no complaints about anyone. It's just a fear that somewhere, slowly, I might lose my creativity. Maybe I haven't expressed myself well, and people misunderstood it, thinking that I want to leave the industry. But I love my industry.)
The actress, who made her directorial debut with Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi in 2021, wrote in the caption, 'Bahut jald hi apni dusri film banana chahungi, 'I would like to make my second film very soon.'

This actor worked in over 200 films, played same role in 144 films, failed to become a star, his name was..., was Bollywood's most... Today, we will highlight the journey of this actor who played the same kind of role in over 100 films, and was stereotyped so strongly that just one role defined his entire career. In his nearly 50-years of career, he arguably became Bollywood's most typecast actor. The man is none other than Jagdish Raj Khurana, recognised as just Jagdish Raj on-screen. The actor, who worked in over 200 films, played every kind of role from a villain to second lead, but found his true calling in a cope role. For over 40 years, Jagdish Raj portrayed the role of a police cop in 144 different films. This significant achievement made him secure a name in Limca Book of Records and Guinness Book of World Records for playing just one role in most number of films. Whether in a big or small project, he truly embraced his cop role, without fearing of getting stereotyped. Born in 1928, Jagdish Raj started his acting career with the film Seema (1955), in which he played the role of a doctor. After that, he played a cop for the first time in CID , and garnered limelight, with several police officer roles coming his way. Over the next 15 years, he starred in hits like Madhumati, Kala Bazar, Waqt, Bhoot Bungla, Johnny Mera Naam, and Bobby, majorly playing a cop role in mostly all the films. He also experimented with his craft, and played a gangster in Deewar and a dacoit in Zameer. He then came back to playing police officer roles in films like Don, Kaala Patthar, and Shakti. By 1980s and 90s, he began playing DSPs and DIGs instead of inspectors. Over the course of his acting career, Jagdish Raj appeared in number of films, but unfortunately, failed to attain the status of superstar. Before retiring from films, the actor's final role was in 2001 release Kasam , in which he played the role of a senior inspector. Jagdish Raj died in 2013 at the age of 85 due to respiratory illness.

Shining in Style: a mother-daughter fashion duo
Many of us, growing up, would have watched our mother dressing up and admired her style, hoping to someday be like her. We may have even tried on her jewellery, messed up her makeup or gotten hopelessly tangled in her sarees. But fashion designer Seema Malhotra didn't just admire her mom – Jamila Malhotra shining in Bengaluru's elite social circles with her intricate hand embroidered outfits – but also learnt her skills, creating the luxury bridal fashion brand, Shimmer, in UB City, alongside her. 'I think I developed that flair from her because she was always a trendsetter,' says Seema, as Jamila adds, 'I used to do all my own designing and embroidery. Slowly, Seema also got interested... It was beautiful because, my mother too, was a great seamstress,' adds Jamila. What started off as making clothes for friends and family, evolved into more as the pair began to dress Bollywood celebrities like Manisha Koirala, Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan, and more while working alongside foreign designers to create costumes for actors in Hollywood films like Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth (1998), Finding Neverland (2004), and Judi Dench in Shakespeare in Love (1998) which went on to win an Oscar for costume design. 'We worked on the embroidery for Judi Dench's peacock gown which got a lot of attention. A lot of research went into it – we looked up stitches and embroidery styles that were done hundreds of years ago. It's very different from working in Bollywood, where things are churned out a day before the shoot,' recalls Seema.
