Miami Dolphins tackle Terron Armstead announced his retirement over the weekend, ending a 12-year NFL career. A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Armstead handled himself with class throughout his career. He was selected in the third round of the 2013 season, and, while injuries would shorten each season of his career, Armstead proved to be a franchise left tackle during his nine years with the New Orleans Saints and three with the Dolphins. As he heads into retirement, the class he demonstrated throughout his career continues into his posts on Instagram and X.
Armstead started 131 games during his career and his impact on the offensive line cannot be questioned. He locked down the left tackle position for both the Saints and the Dolphins any time he was on the field. He battled to be in on every play possible, even when he was clearly not 100 percent healthy, and his presence immediately upgraded the offensive line.

Once their Pro Bowl center left against early in their Week 3 matchup, the Eagles were able to exploit McCoy's absence leading to 4 sacks on the day for Philadelphia. McCoy would spend the rest of the 2024 season alternating from the injured reserve and back to playing before being ruled out for the rest of the season due to an elbow injury he suffered against the Green Bay Packers. The former second-round pick has been named to two Pro Bowls in his six-year career and earned a five-year, $63.75 million extension with the Saints in 2022. New Orleans has focused on building on their offensive line and used their two recent first-round picks on tackles Taliese Fuaga and Kelvin Banks Jr. With head coach Kellen Moore bringing a run-heavy offense, it will be vital for the Saints offensive line to be at their best to fit their new scheme. McGovern was claimed by the Saints off the New York Jets practice squad after McCoy's injury and started in five games for the team in 2024. The eight-year veteran performed well for the Saints but was waived after McCoy returned from injury. The Hall of Famer joined "The Pomp and Joe Show" on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh last week to promote the Joe Moore Offensive Line Camp from West Allegheny High School in Pennsylvania. Marino broached a number of subjects, including his thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers potentially bringing in quarterback Aaron Rodgers. "If it happens, I still think Aaron has some game. You know he does. He can throw it as good as anybody ever has thrown the football. If his mind's into it and he's ready to go and that works, I don't think it would be an issue with the Steelers. "But, you've got to have someone that really wants to play there and he's getting older. So, I don't know what his mindset is. But, he does still have talent," Marino said. Of course, Rodgers has since signed with the Steelers on a one-year, $13.65 million deal that includes $10 million guaranteed and that could be worth up to $19.5 million. Rodgers passed for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns against 11 interceptions last season with the New York Jets, but the Jets finished just 5-12. Now, Pittsburgh is banking on Rodgers elevating the Steelers from the wild card team they were a season ago and into a bonafide Super Bowl contender. The Steelers finished 10-7 during the 2024 regular season to grab second place in the AFC North before falling to the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC wild card game.
