With football season right around the corner, players around the NFL are already gathering for minicamp to get those early reps in and build the chemistry needed to contend for a Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills know all too well that the road to the Lombardi isn't an easy one, but with reigning MVP Josh Allen at the helm, they'll always have a solid chance. Just recently, he was spotted wearing a new brand of cleats aside from his usual sponsors over at Nike.

Signed to Nike since his arrival to the league in 2018, Josh Allen was sporting a variety of Nike cleats throughout the 2024-25 NFL season. However, it seems as though his contract may have ended, as Allen was seen rocking a pair of New Balance Prodigy cleats just a few days ago at Bills' minicamp.

While it isn't out of the ordinary for an athlete to try different styles of cleats and footwear throughout the offseason, especially at minicamp where there isn't a national audience, it's certainly strange to see such a drastic change out of the blue. It certainly appears as though Allen's Nike contract had recently expired and that he's made the switch to New Balance for the time being.

However, it's worth noting that Josh Allen wore Nike cleats earlier into this same minicamp, so his contract could have ended as recently as this week. Nevertheless, the quick switch over to New Balance would ensure Allen's status as the face of their football campaign and breakthrough into the NFL.
Josh Allen would join other NFL talents like Cardinals' Marvin Harrison Jr. and Saints' Chase Young over at New Balance, but given his star power and MVP status, he would undoubtedly give the brand a massive boost in terms of their visibility on a national stage. New Balance already has their hand in a number of other sports with top athletes Shohei Ohtani, Kawhi Leonard, and Coco Gauff.

Tyrese Haliburton's Achilles injury is devastating beyond the NBA Finals
Congratulations to the 2025 NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder. They're a deserving champion. Don't let anyone tell you different. It's easy to understand why some people might feel otherwise. The way Tyrese Haliburton went down after opening the game on complete fire robbed us of the Game 7 we thought we were getting. With three 3-pointers in the first seven minutes, Haliburton was on the verge of something special. Then, we got a swift reminder why a calf injury is nothing to play with. Advertisement This was hard to watch. And Haliburton's devastated father confirmed what we were all thinking, telling ESPN's Lisa Salters it was an Achilles injury. That's not how the Oklahoma City Thunder wanted to win, and it's definitely not how the Indiana Pacers wanted to go down. NOT LIKE THIS: LeBron had a 1-word NSFW reaction to Haliburton's injury Regardless, the Thunder were the best team all season. We shouldn't discredit their accomplishment -- just like we shouldn't discredit Indiana's deep postseason runs of the last two years on the heels of major injuries to their opponents. This stuff happens. The Pacers still had to win those games, just like OKC had to finish yesterday. Advertisement What this becomes, instead, is one of the biggest what-ifs in NBA history, especially if the Thunder go on to become the dynasty many of us think they have the potential to become. Because for all the talk of how OKC is built to be great for a long time, the Pacers came so incredibly close to delaying that timeline. Not only did it take away Indiana's best chance to compete in Game 7, thus threatening to diminish the credit OKC deserves for winning a title, it also potentially hurts Indiana's chances to return to this stage next year. And let's be clear, after making two straight conference finals appearances and pushing the best team in the NBA to a Game 7 in the finals, the Pacers were on track for a special run of their own. Now, they're left wondering what could have been, and whether they'll even have their All-NBA point guard next season. That sucks beyond measure. Knicks' Josh Hart listed as potential trade candidate this offseason

After coming up just short of reaching the NBA Finals this past season, they will want to substantially improve the team to give them a better chance at winning a title. It is still unclear how they will approach the trade and free agent markets. They are also still in the midst of a head coaching search, so things could look a bit different next season. Knicks could trade Josh Hart this summer If they conduct a massive trade, it could come at the cost of one or multiple core pieces. Bleacher Report's Dan Favale listed Josh Hart as a likely trade candidate should the Knicks make a big move this summer. Process of elimination narrows it down to Josh Hart or Mitchell Robinson,' Favale wrote. 'Hart wins out over Robinson because he's making $6.5 million more ($19.5 million versus $13 million), but also because he's less of an anomaly. Nobody else on the roster brings Robinson's combination of size, interior deterrence, offensive rebounding and (when healthy) mobility.' Advertisement Hart is one of the more impactful players on the roster, but it became clear that his fit in the starting five was wonky. He wasn't aggressively looking to score, which allowed teams to throw their big man on him since he wasn't much of a threat to score. Hart must be traded only for a clear upgrade This, in turn, hurt the Knicks' floor spacing, as there wasn't enough offensive aggression from him to help open up the floor. Trading Hart would be a tough decision, as his rebounding and playmaking abilities are still very much useful in a bench role. The Knicks are looking to take the next step towards winning a championship, and doing so comes at the cost of making tough decisions.
