Seeded at No.4, Hsieh Su-wei and Jelena Ostapenko made easy work of their first three matches at Wimbledon 2025, progressing without dropping a set.
Their biggest challenge so far came when they lost the tiebreak after a tight opening set against Sorana Cirstea and Anna Kalinskaya in the quarter-finals.
But the duo powered back to win the next two 6-3, 6-2, setting up a tantalising showdown with defending champions and top seeds Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend on July 11, 2025.

Who is Frederic Aniere?
Frederic Aniere is the longtime boyfriend of Taiwanese tennis star Hsieh Su-wei.
He grew up in Paris and completed his studies in marketing, before entering the property sector and building a career as an estate agent.
The couple met in 2016 when Su-wei was visiting Paris with her coach.
They were introduced by a mutual friend, who suggested Frederic show her around the city.
What began as a friendly outing with her team soon blossomed into a romantic relationship.
The year after they met, Su-wei told AP: 'In Taiwan we don't have a professional tennis court, so I'm always travelling to somewhere to practice with my coach, and then my friend, last year, she introduced me to her friend.
'She said, 'Oh, I have a friend in Paris — he can take you out for fun,' and then we just go out to eat, with my team, not just me, and then things worked. And now I am living with him in Paris.'
Queen thanks Novak Djokovic for letting her stay in his 'lovely' property in 'private' chat at Wimbledon
Frederic's role in Su-wei's life extends beyond that of just a boyfriend — after about a year of dating, he left his real estate job to travel full-time with his girlfriend, supporting her on the WTA tour.
He has acted as her travelling coach and practice partner at tournaments and Grand Slams.
In 2019, Frederic told WTAtennis.com: '[Su-wei] knows a lot about tennis.'
"She doesn't necessarily need someone to tell her what she has to do, because she knows exactly what she has to do herself.
'I'm just here to give her confidence, to have a good time together, and that's it.
She said, 'Oh, I have a friend in Paris — he can take you out for fun,' and then we just go out to eat, with my team, not just me, and then things worked. And now I am living with him in Paris

'Of course, we talk about tennis, but she knows what she has to do.
"I don't try to understand her all the time. I just let her be herself, but for sure, she's interesting, different from other players.
'She has a different way of working. She likes to play with feeling, and she's like this in life. It's what goes for her."
He added: "She does a lot of yoga, a lot of stretching. She doesn't spend three hours on the court every day.
'If she's stretching and feeling good in the body, maybe she works more on her fitness. When you get older you have to be even more fit and ready.
"We don't push her too much but we put out positive energy, which makes it more fun to go out on the court and practice."
As of July 2025, the couple does not have children.

With the average wedding costing £200,500, the pair made a conscious effort to cut down on various aspects. Amie joked that some of the extreme measures "would put people in a coma". Veering from tradition The bride decided to opt out of the wedding dress tradition, instead choosing a comfy everyday outfit. "We didn't dress up. We wore flannels, jeans, and boots," she said, sharing a picture with her husband from the big day. Amie and her bridal party also did their own hair and make up for the occasion. And the TikToker joked that she also took her shoes off "as soon as I said 'I do'." While the couple still forked out for a venue for the day, Amie explained that they saved by holding the ceremony and reception in the same room. And the venue in question was the party room at their local library. For the food, the couple decided to skip out on the "fancy meal and fancy cake". I was fuming when I found out the reason my family hadn't RSVP-ed to my wedding - now they're uninvited Amie shared an image of the simple cake they opted for instead, which featured a simple Mr. & Mrs. topper, showing the couple's love for video games and reading. And this passion for gaming also played a major part in the day as the couple went home early to play Fortnite. They did however enjoy some dancing to a playlist Amie made in advance, skipping out on the band or DJ debate. "We didn't want anything big or fancy," she explained, revealing the day went perfectly. However, TikTok users were not sold on the budget-friendly approach. "Why bother? Just sign the paperwork," pointed out another follower. "Playing Fortnite after your wedding must be the saddest thing I've ever heard," commented a third person. More on weddings Another bride shared how her mother-in-law wore white to her wedding and excluded her from photos "in case it didn't work out". I'm very mindful of the words that I use and the conversations I have. "I don't want our daughter seeing something when she's older or reading something when she's older." "People would always say to me, 'She's the image of Arthur',' he added. 'It was like a knife in my heart each time people said that because they were unaware of my own issue. "The control was taken away from me. But now everybody knows the truth about my daughter's DNA. My name is not on her birth cert. It's just my sister Aoife and Arthur."
