Prateeksha was the very first home that Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, bought together as a married couple. The bungalow's name was given by Amitabh's father, renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. In 1976, soon after the massive hit of Sholay in 1975, Amitabh and Jaya purchased Prateeksha. Having been married for three years by that time, this bungalow marked the beginning of their journey as a family home. Amitabh reminisced in one of his blogs, 'The day in 1976 we moved into the first house that this generation had ever bought and built, and called its own."

Over the years, Prateeksha has been the backdrop to many cherished family memories. Even after the family shifted to their current home, Jalsa, they maintained the tradition of bringing their daughter Aaradhya to Prateeksha first following her birth. As per a report by Moneycontrol, the property that covers two plots of 890.47 sq m and 674 sq m was handed to Shweta Bachchan through a gift deed on November 8, 2023. Additionally, a stamp duty of Rs 50.65 lakh was part of the transaction.

Housefull 5 Worldwide Opening Weekend Box Office: Collects Rs 132 crore globally, biggest for Akshay Kumar
The Akshay Kumar-led Housefull 5 has scored big results at the global box office as estimates indicate collections in the range of Rs 131.00 crore to Rs 133.00 crore, depending on actuals for Sunday in India and International markets. Housefull 5 opened at Rs 37.25 crore on Friday, followed by a jump to Rs 47.75 crore on Saturday, and a rather steady Sunday of Rs 47.25 crore. The film has done good business in India, whereas the international biz can be termed very good. The first weekend collections of Housefull 5 are the biggest till date for Akshay Kumar, surpassing his previous best, Sooryavanshi (Rs 117 crore). It is also the second biggest opening weekend of the year at the worldwide box office for a Hindi film after Chhaava (Rs 157 crore), bettering Sikandar (Rs 124 crore).
