Ed Sheeran reveals he'll need security until 'I pass away' after his family faced kidnap threats
The singer, 34, who shares daughters Lyra, four, and Jupiter, three, with wife Cherry Seaborn, told Australia's 60 Minutes on Sunday that he employs extensive security measures due to the threats.
He said: 'It's things that people don't really even take into account. Like kidnap threats and s*** like that. We've had attempted break-ins, things left on my car. It's way more sinister than just fans turning up and wanting selfies.'

Ed said that he had to accept that his family will always need protection, adding: 'We have a level of security that probably won't change until I pass away. That's just our life now.'
Ed went on to explain that he is fiercely protective of his daughters' privacy and does not allow fans to take photos of them - even facing off with those who try.
He said: 'I've had some real arguments before. I'm fine with taking pictures, but I just think it's weird with a four-year-old and a three-year-old.'
Ed wishes life was more 'normal' for his family but has accepted that fame has its downsides: 'To be within the public sphere, you have to take it all, the good and the bad. But I think I would definitely want a more normal life for my kids.'

Dejon and Meg break silence after Love Island axe and reveal plan to ‘prove everyone wrong'
DESPITE being the only pair in an official relationship, Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams and Meg Moore found themselves brutally dumped at the end of last night's instalment. The former islanders returned to cast their votes about which couple was the least compatible between Dejon and Meg and Ty Isherwood and Angel Swift. 4 4 After receiving the most votes, the OG pair were forced to pack their bags and leave the villa – just a day before the all-important final. Now that they're out, the two have broken their silence and revealed their plan to 'prove everyone wrong'. When asked what was next for the pair, Meg, who recently sparked outrage, responded: 'Proving to everyone we are actually going to stay together! Spending time together and introducing one another to family and friends.' Dejon echoed these sentiments by adding: 'I definitely want to have a conversation with her family, get to know them and have her meet my family so they can see the real us. 'A lot of the Islanders saw how genuine we were and I have no doubt it will be like that with our families. 'After that hopefully we can move in together as I can't imagine not living with her.' Dejon and Meg, who hit the rocks this week, have been the subject of plenty of criticism from their fellow islanders and viewers alike, with many questioning if Dejon was playing a game. The two paired up from day one but found themselves at loggerheads due to Dejon's flirty antics with numerous bombshells. In last night's episode, Maya Jama returned to the villa and revealed one couple would be dumped from the island and the decision was in the hand of some familiar faces. One by one the ex-Islanders had their say, leaving the couples at risk less than impressed by their comments. Love Island OG's Meg and Dejon DUMPED by returning islanders After much back and forth, Meg and Dejon received 10 votes, while Angel and Ty received 8 votes. Fans were left elated at home as they flocked to X to share their excitement about Dejon and Meg leaving the ITV2 show. One viewer wrote: 'The timing for Megan and Dejon being dumped is so perfect.' Another person gushed: 'Finally Meg and Dejon are gone, I prayed for times like this! And that was such an epic way to dump them too, love a good revenge vote.' Somebody else expressed: 'Meg and Dejon finally off my screen and out of the villa! I love to see it.' A fourth commented: 'It's been a long time coming, thank you ex-islanders for getting rid of Meg and Dejon.' While a fifth added: 'Meg and Dejon being dumped makes me feel like I'm going to have a great week.' The savage dumping means there are four couples that are vying to win the series – Jamie and Yasmin, Cach and Toni, Harry and Shakira and Ty and Angel. Maya will return to the villa in Majorca one last time to reveal the outcome of the public's vote, with one pair being crowned champions of series 12 and walking away with £50,000. 4 4

John Torode's wife Lisa Faulkner reveals she is back to work filming after ITV stood by her husband following his BBC axing
Lisa Faulkner revealed she was on the way to film something first thing this morning as she got back to work following her husband's BBC axing scandal. Her husband John, 60, was fired from MasterChef after 20 years following an allegation of racism last month, after he revealed he was the subject of a claim that was upheld as part of an inquiry into his co-star Gregg Wallace. Following his unceremonious departure from the broadcaster it was revealed by the Daily Mail that ITV, where John also fronts TV shows, were backing him. While she did not confirm which show she was working on, Lisa shared a picture from the back of a car on Monday morning and said she was heading to work. Lisa Faulkner co-hosts the ITV show John & Lisa's Weekend Kitchen with her husband as well as working as a contributor on Lorraine. Sources at ITV recently told us that it will continue to broadcast the tenth series of John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen rather than pulling it from the schedule. ITV are standing by under fire John Torode , despite his BBC axing from MasterChef following an allegation of racism The much-loved cookery show, which launched in 2019, features Lisa and John, 59, as they showcase their favourite recipes. An ITV source said: 'There is no change to the ITV schedule and John and Lisa's Weekends will be broadcast as usual and will continue to air for the next three weeks.' There are also plans for the broadcaster to welcome John back later in the year with John & Lisa's Christmas Kitchen in December. The Australian chef was dramatically axed from MasterChef - hours after the BBC's director general refused to back him over an allegation of racism. The corporation said the host's contract would not be renewed after a report found he had used an 'extremely offensive racist term' during drinks after filming the show. The complaint against John was revealed in the report into co-presenter Gregg Wallace's inappropriate behaviour. Gregg, 60, was sacked after dozens of complaints against him were upheld. John identified himself on Monday as an unnamed person in the report who was accused of using 'racist language'. However, the presenter said 'he had absolutely no recollection' of the incident and did 'not believe that it happened'. But in a statement yesterday, the BBC said: 'This allegation - which involves an extremely offensive racist term being used in the workplace - was investigated and substantiated by the independent investigation led by the law firm Lewis Silkin. 'The BBC takes this upheld finding extremely seriously. 'We will not tolerate racist language of any kind and we told Banijay UK, the makers of MasterChef, that action must be taken. John Torode's contract on MasterChef will not be renewed.' Hours before the announcement, BBC director general Tim Davie had refused to back John and said he expected 'action to be taken' over the allegation. He delivered the remarks as the BBC released its annual report - an occasion overshadowed by controversies for the second year in a row. Last year's was published amid the fallout over news presenter Huw Edwards who pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children. Asked about the Torode racism row, Tim Davie said: 'The BBC in some ways are quite simple on this - if someone is found to not live up to our values we expect the independent company, Banijay in this case, to take action and report back to us on what they have done. 'These are not BBC employees, but we absolutely expect action to be taken.' Tim added: 'I think a great programme that's loved by audiences is much bigger than individuals. 'It absolutely can survive and prosper, but we've got to make ing drinks sure we're in the right place in ness terms of the culture of the show.' It had been alleged by a source close to John that he had used an inappropriate racial term during drinks after filming. The witness claimed he had apologised immediately and 'was mortified' and he 'didn't use the term as a slur'. No one complained at the time but the incident was brought up during the inquiry into Gregg, they said. On Monday, John said he had 'absolutely no recollection' of the incident and was 'shocked and saddened' by the allegation. 'I would never wish to cause anyone offence,' he added. Responding to his sacking, John, who is married to actress and former Celebrity MasterChef contestant Lisa Faulkner, said: 'I'd hoped that I'd have some say in my exit from a show I've worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in the last few says seem to have prevented that.' He said he 'had loved every minute' working on the show but it was 'time to pass the cutlery to someone else'. 'Life is everchanging and ever moving and sometimes personal happiness and fulfilment lay elsewhere,' he added.

Guess who! Hollywood icon hides her face with a mask as she touches down at Sydney Airport
Jamie Lee Curtis has arrived Down Under. The acting icon flew into Sydney International Airport on Monday ahead of the Freakier Friday Australian premiere. The 66-year-old attempted to go incognito as she touched down, wearing a pair of oversized sunglasses and a black face mask to hide her famous features. She kept a low profile by wearing an all-black ensemble, which included a blazer and dark scarf. The actress accessorised the travel day fit with not one, but two, Goyard bags, which are estimated to retail for around $10,000 AUD together. Despite attempting to go under the radar, Jamie Lee was instantly recognisable thanks to her signature grey pixie haircut and slender build. The American actress, who is set to attend the Australian premiere of her latest movie alongside Lindsay Lohan, recently revealed the reason behind the 22-year wait for a Freaky Friday sequel. In 2003, Jamie Lee starred in the now-smash hit comedy, which sees the two characters switch bodies, with hilarity ensuing. Fans had long hoped for a sequel to the iconic comedy but had an agonising wait, as Freakier Friday is only now hitting cinemas - over two decades on from the original. Now, Jamie Lee has revealed why there was such a long gap between the two releases as she admitted she has long had her eye on a follow-up movie. Appearing on last week's The One Show, Jamie revealed they had to wait until Lindsay, 39, was old enough to have a teenage child for the sequel premise to work. 'The truth is that Lindsay had to be old enough to have a 15-year-old daughter, people would ask me about the movie over and over again,' she shared. 'And finally someone in Australia said, "well she is" and I was like "what do you mean?" because I know her as this young girl, so I don't know how old she is. 'Someone told me and I was, like, "Oh! Well maybe we can make the movie. Let's go!"' Lindsay was just 15 years old when she first portrayed Anna Coleman in Freaky Friday alongside Jamie Lee, who played her on-screen mother Tess Coleman. It follows the bickering mother and daughter after a Chinese restaurant fortune cookie mishap causes them to switch bodies, forcing them to live the other's life. Despite barely having been able to see eye-to-eye, the magical switch eventually allows them to see things from the other's point of view. The sequel will see the iconic pairing switch places once again, though this time there is quadruple chaos in store.
