BTS fans across the globe had plenty to cheer about as Kim Taehyung, better known as V, officially completed his mandatory military service. Discharged on June 10, 2025, alongside group leader RM, V received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from ARMY, with anticipation building for BTS' long-awaited reunion.
Amid the excitement, V surprised fans by dropping two dance videos—his first since returning from duty. Reuniting with renowned choreographer Lee Jung, the duo reignited the viral magic they had created during one of his previous military breaks. Fans quickly flooded social media, thrilled to see V back in action.
V's 1st dance post-discharge
Lee Jung took to social media to share V's post-discharge dance video, captioning it, "& @thv MilitaryTwins." In the clip, V grooves to a remix of Don't Drop That Thun Thun, dressed in camouflage pants and a relaxed tee—true to his effortless, laid-back style.
Soon after, she posted a second video of the duo dancing to WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME by GloRilla and Sexyy Red, with the caption, "Our Resolutions. @thv." V playfully responded, writing, "Credit to Service!!"
The clips sent ARMY into a frenzy, marking V's return to the spotlight with flair, rhythm—and, interestingly, a Desi twist.

One fan paired the choreography with the viral 2025 hit Qatal by Gill Machhrai, Guru Randhawa, and Sanjoy.
Another ARMY synced the moves to GF BF by Gurinder Seagal and Jacqueline Fernandez, a fan-favorite from 2016.

Who Is Min Yoongi Aka Suga? The Last BTS Member Awaiting Military Discharge

Last Updated: Suga, due to a previous shoulder injury, began his alternative service in 2023 as a social service agent instead of active duty. What seemed like a distant dream is now slowly turning into reality for ARMYs as BTS is soon going to reunite. With RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook already back to civilian life, the only member who has yet to complete his mandatory military service is Suga. And fans all around the world have been waiting for him. He is scheduled to be discharged on June 21. Unlike other members, Suga has been completely away from the limelight following his enlistment in September 2023. Before the return of the 32-year-old K-pop idol from the military, check out everything you need to know about him, ARMY or not. Who Is BTS' Suga? Min Yoongi, lovingly known as Suga and Agust D to fans, was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, South Korea. Since his childhood, he was drawn to music and after listening to South Korean groups Epik High and Stony Skunk, he decided to become a rapper. By the age of 13, Suga began to write lyrics. For some years, he worked at a recording studio. Before joining BTS, Suga was part of the underground rap scene and performed with a group called D-Town. Yoongi joined Big Hit Entertainment as a music composer and later trained with RM and J-Hope before debuting as BTS in 2013. Over the years, he has written, composed and produced several chartbusters for the group. Besides BTS, Suga also carved a niche for himself as a solo artist. He ventured solo in 2016 with a free self-titled mixtape Agust D. In 2020, he released his second mixtape, D-2. Just months prior to enlisting, Suga released his first solo studio album, D-Day, in April 2023. After the album release, he embarked on a tour titled Agust D 'D-Day'. He is also known for his collaborations with IU on the song Eight and PSY for the track That That. Last year, BTS' Suga was in the news after his DUI incident came into the limelight. In August 2024, he fell from his electric scooter in Hannam-dong. After his breath was analysed, he was found to have an elevated blood alcohol level, reportedly nearly eight times the permissible level. After an investigation, he was fined, and his license was revoked. The Daechwita singer, due to a previous shoulder injury, began his alternative service in 2023 as a social service agent instead of active duty. Suga is the only member from BTS, serving 22 months in the military. First Published: June 12, 2025, 16:02 IST
