
Bicyclist killed after hit-and-run in Bellflower; police search for driver
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received a call around 1:55 a.m. about a bicyclist who was in the middle of the road on Clark Avenue and Somerset Boulevard.
When deputies arrived, they found a woman who had been struck by a car while she was riding her bike.
They believe the driver fled the scene, going northbound on Clark Avenue.
Deputies do not have a driver description and are hoping someone saw something that may help identify them.

One person killed in crash on Rt. 481 in Carroll Township
One person was killed overnight in a fiery crash in Washington County. The Washington County Coroner's Office says the crash happened sometime around 3 a.m. when a driver was traveling south along Rt. 481 in Carroll Township. The driver lost control of their vehicle, hit part of a bridge barrier at the intersection of Rt. 481 and Rt. 2023 and when they crashed, the vehicle caught on fire, the coroner's office said. The crash and wreckage were spotted by a passing driver, who then contacted the Washington County 911 center, the coroner's office said. The coroner's office says the driver, who hasn't been identified yet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation by the Carroll Township Police Department.

Multiple homes damaged after teen loses control of car and crashes in Huntington Beach
Multiple homes were damaged when a teenager lost control of a car and crashed in Huntington Beach on Friday night. Police said that it happened at around 10:40 p.m. in the 19100 block of Newland Street, according to a release from the Huntington Beach Police Department. "Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that the vehicle was traveling south on Newland Street at a hight rate of speed when the driver lost control," police said. They do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash. The driver, a 17-year-old boy who does not have a license, and his 18-year-old male passenger were both hospitalized after complaining of pain, police noted. The driver was cited for driving without a license and reckless driving and released to a guardian. Huntington Beach city officials were called to check the structural integrity of the homes.

One dead after fire engulfs RV in Valley Glen
One person was found dead on Saturday after a recreational vehicle caught fire in Valley Glen. The fire was first reported just after 1:15 p.m. in the 13400 block of W. Raymer Street, in an industrial area near Woodman Avenue and Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. "Though the fire was prevented from extending to businesses or other vehicles parked nearby, the remains of one person were found within the charred remnants of the Class A-style motor home," firefighters said. The victim has not yet been identified. No other injuries were reported in the fire and investigators are working to determine a cause.
