Man flies drone inside Pilibhit Tiger Reserve; probe ordered
Deputy director of the reserve, Manish Singh, said a video of the incident is being examined.
'Flying drones in protected forest areas is strictly prohibited, as it poses a threat to wildlife and disturbs their natural activities. Strict action will be taken against the offender so that no one dares to violate forest protection rules in future," ," Singh told reporters.
According to forest officials, the accused has been identified as Arbaaz Ansari, who runs an Instagram page named 'Pilibhit Zone'.
Ansari allegedly flew a drone without permission in the Mala zone of the reserve, a core forest area, recording visuals after stopping by a roadside stretch and later uploading them on social media.
Experts termed the act illegal and dangerous for the safety of the animal species in the reserve.
The Mala range is considered highly sensitive, with past incidents of poaching and illegal wildlife activity reported from the area, they said. PTI COR ABN ARI

The vehicle, decorated as a chariot, ran out of fuel, and nine people were pushing it. At that time, a snapped cable wire fell on the electric wires, which in turn touched the brass frame fitted around the deity on the vehicle, due to which five people were electrocuted, a senior police official told PTI, based on preliminary investigation. At 21, Indian-Origin Krishangi Meshram Becomes Youngest Solicitor In UK
Last Updated: Meshram began her legal journey at just 15, enrolling for a law degree with The Open University (OU), UK Krishangi Meshram, a 21-year-old raised in the ISKCON Mayapur community in West Bengal and now based in the UAE, has become one of the youngest solicitors in England and Wales. Meshram began her legal journey at just 15, enrolling for a law degree with The Open University (OU), UK. Three years later, she graduated with a First-Class Honours LLB, the youngest OU student to do so, before completing a Master's degree. She recently cleared the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), officially marking her entry into the legal profession. 'Studying with flexibility not only gave me academic freedom but also taught me discipline, focus, and organisation. These skills helped me secure a role at an international law firm, where I am now gaining practical experience," Meshram was quoted as saying by TOI. She added that distance learning allowed her to balance studies, travel, and family commitments. Her parents, Tapan and Indira Meshram, said they were proud but surprised by her achievement. 'We encouraged her to give it her best shot, but we couldn't have anticipated such a remarkable outcome," they said. Meshram's interest in law began early, after completing a short course at Harvard University. 'It resonated deeply with her core values of justice and fairness," her father recalled. He credited her Mayapur upbringing — 'away from toxic academic competition" — for instilling self-discipline and focus from a young age. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
