OpenAI Announces Major Enhancements to ChatGPT's Web Browsing Capabilities - Jordan News
OpenAI Announces Major Enhancements to ChatGPT's Web Browsing Capabilities OpenAI has unveiled a series of updates aimed at enhancing the web-based search capabilities of ChatGPT, making the tool more intelligent, responsive, and intuitive than ever before. اضافة اعلان According to the announcement, ChatGPT now handles longer and more complex queries with greater precision and can better follow user instructions, thanks to significant backend improvements. Key Upgrades: Improved Web Search Quality ChatGPT is now more accurate in understanding user intent, even if it's not stated directly in a prompt. By referencing previous conversation context, the model can infer what the user wants and provide more relevant answers. Support for Image-Based Search One of the most exciting enhancements is the ability to search the web using images. Users can upload a picture of an object, and ChatGPT can retrieve relevant information from reputable online sources, including publicly traded websites. Enhanced Instruction Following The model has become better at complying with user-specific instructions, especially in long conversations. It can now refine queries on the fly, based on ongoing dialogue, reducing redundancy and improving efficiency. Multiple Searches for One Query ChatGPT can now conduct multiple related searches for a single question, pulling in a broader range of results when needed. This allows the assistant to provide richer, more comprehensive answers. Stronger Memory Integration Leveraging the improved memory feature, ChatGPT can recall past projects and previous user inputs, particularly within the new 'Projects' and downloadable Canvas feature introduced last week. This ensures a more personalized and context-aware experience over time. Access to More Up-to-Date Information With the new update, web browsing delivers fresher and more in-depth content, offering users more relevant insights in real-time. Background: The original web search feature in ChatGPT was rolled out to all users in October 2024, and since then, OpenAI has been steadily enhancing its speed, accuracy, and user interface. This latest update represents one of the most comprehensive improvements to date. These advancements reinforce OpenAI's mission to create a truly conversational, intelligent assistant that can evolve with user needs and provide actionable, real-world insights in seconds.

OpenAI teams up with Google cloud in unlikely AI infrastructure alliance
ALBAWABA—In a move that underscores artificial intelligence's mounting infrastructure demands, OpenAI has signed a deal to use Google Cloud for additional computing capacity, marking a notable partnership between two fierce AI rivals. Also Read ChatGPT helps save woman's life by predicting her cancer Reuters said the agreement was finalized in May after months of negotiations. It adds Google Cloud to OpenAI's growing portfolio of compute partners, alongside Microsoft, its primary backer and cloud provider. The collaboration reflects a broader trend in the AI sector, where the sheer scale of resources required to train and deploy cutting-edge models forces competitors into unexpected alliances. The partnership is a significant win for Google Cloud, which will provide infrastructure to support OpenAI's expanding AI workloads, including the training and operation of its flagship product, ChatGPT. It also signals OpenAI's continued effort to diversify its compute dependencies, following other initiatives like the Stargate supercomputer project being developed with Microsoft and CoreWeave. Despite the competitive tension, especially with ChatGPT posing the most serious challenge to Google's search dominance in years, this deal illustrates how AI development is increasingly dictated by hardware, data center scale, and compute efficiency rather than rivalry alone. So far, neither OpenAI nor Google has officially commented on the agreement's financial terms or technical scope.
