Kaur, who is an avid social media user, shared that her transformation from a size '3XL to a medium' in under a year was about getting the basics right. 'The most asked question I get is, 'How did you lose so much weight suddenly?' But here's the truth: it wasn't sudden.
It had been eight months of showing up, making better choices, and trusting the process,' she said in a video shared on Instagram.
Unlike many weight loss stories that rely on extreme diets or grueling fitness regimes, Kaur's approach was refreshingly simple. Her formula? 'Move more and fuel the body better.'

What initially started as a 20-minute walk later turned into 20 km of running. The woman shared that in the initial days, even walking for 20 minutes was difficult. However, slowly and gradually, she grew fond of walking. 'There's something about stepping out in the sun and breathing fresh air that keeps me coming back,' she said.
She started with shorter distances but worked up to running a minimum of 10 kilometers daily.
'I aim for a minimum of 10km, and on good days, I push it to 15, 18 or even 20km,' she revealed.
Running, which started as a fitness regime, soon became 'therapeutic' for her. She also added strength training to her routine, which was about 2 or three times a week.
She also revealed that there were days when she couldn't work out as much as she wanted, but what shines through is consistency. 'Remember, progress isn't about doing it all, it's about doing something and sticking to it,' she said.
What she eats in a day
While Kaur didn't stick to extreme diets, she ensured to eat a well-balanced and nutritious
diet
. She focused on learning how to fuel her body better. For instance, if she felt hungry in between, she would munch on some baby carrots and cream cheese. Similarly, she also eats a big breakfast. One of her favourite breakfast options is two sourdough toasts, with some salad, and scrambled tofu. This high-protein, high-fibre breakfast keeps her full and fueled for a long time.
For lunch, she would eat a hearty salad bowl topped with walnuts and vegan meat burger patties.

She also explained why she avoided going on extreme
diets
and instead focuses on nutritious food. 'I've tried every extreme diet under the sun, only for it to end in a binge and further damage how I viewed food and my body. I finally began to heal when I stopped seeing food as the enemy and started viewing it as fuel to nourish my body instead,' she said.

Is your kitchen cursed? Vastu mistakes that are ruining family dinners
The kitchen isn't just where meals are made; it's where energy is cooked into every bite. According to Vastu Shastra, the ancient science of architecture, a kitchen out of sync with positive energies can disrupt not just meals, but the very peace of your household. Many families unknowingly commit Vastu blunders that invite stress, health issues, and financial troubles. Here are the most common Vastu mistakes that could be silently sabotaging your family's well-being - Placement pitfalls: Where is your kitchen? One of the most critical mistakes is positioning the kitchen in the northeast or southwest corners of your home. These directions seem harmless but can usher in negative energies, leading to health issues and strained relationships. As per Vastu, the ideal location for your kitchen is the southeast corner. If that's not possible, the northwest is a safer alternative. Stove and sink: A recipe for conflict? Another common yet overlooked error is placing the stove and sink side by side. The stove represents fire, while the sink embodies water - two opposing elements. Their proximity can spark frequent arguments and disrupt the peace at the dinner table. Ensure a reasonable distance between them to restore balance. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo Colour and clutter: The silent killers Dark colours like black and grey are best avoided for attracting negativity. Moreover, cluttered countertops and misplaced storage block the flow of positive energy. Opt for warm hues, like, yellows, oranges, and browns to boost togetherness and familial happiness. Cooking With Your Back to the Door If the cook stands with their back to the entrance, it creates a sense of vulnerability and instability. Over time, it can cause insecurity, trust issues, and emotional disconnection. Installing a reflective surface in front of the stove is a simple yet powerful fix. Align your kitchen with Vastu, and watch the tension simmer down with every meal. Sushi Goes Green: Veg Rolls Rule on World Sushi Day in Mumbai
Once a haven for fish lovers, sushi has now rolled into bold new territory—vegetarian style. This World Sushi Day, Mumbai's culinary scene is buzzing with inventive plant-based sushi options that are as visually stunning as they are flavour-packed, breaking the myth that sushi must be synonymous with seafood. Traditionally non-vegetarian, sushi in Japan revolves around raw fish and seafood. But the tables are turning. As sustainability, wellness, and mindful eating gain momentum, more diners are reaching for veggie-forward options—leading to a creative explosion in kitchens across the city. 'Vegetarian sushi has really taken off lately, with more people choosing plant-based and sustainable options, our kitchen's creativity is thriving,' says chef Edjose Fernandes of PCO, Mumbai. 'We're using vibrant, fresh ingredients like avocado, cucumber, mushrooms and seaweed to build sushi that tastes amazing and looks beautiful. It's not just a substitute—it's a whole new experience.' From smoky, spicy, and truffle-kissed to ones that carry the fragrance of curry leaves and legacy of Madras, Mumbai's veg sushi lineup is redefining fusion. At Scarlett House, the Madras Beetroot Sushi takes centre stage—a vibrant uramaki roll wrapped in seasoned rice, filled with cured beetroot, avocado, and a coconut oil edamame cream cheese. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Drizzled with Madras Sriracha and topped with a crispy curry leaf, it's both nostalgic and novel. Meanwhile, CrayCraft stuns with its indulgent Truffle Mushroom Uramaki—enoki and shiitake mushrooms paired with tempura flakes, truffle oil, and spicy mayo. And at Eve, Santacruz, their purple rice Truffle Mushroom Sushi layers in button mushrooms, truffle mayo and crispy tanuki for a forest-fresh bite full of elegance. Chef Tenzin Khechok of Yazu Pan Asian Beach Club, which spans Mumbai and Goa, believes this trend is here to stay: 'The rising popularity of vegetarian sushi reflects a beautiful shift in global palates — one that embraces mindful eating without compromising on creativity or flavour.' His offerings like the Truffle Corn Gunkan, Watermelon Roll, and Avocado Sensei Roll at Yazu echo that philosophy—where ingredients are celebrated, not masked. So this World Sushi Day, go ahead—ditch the tuna, keep the truffle, and savour the new wave of sushi that's redefining the roll, one veggie bite at a time.
