The mysterious episode that was cut from Baby Reindeer is revealed for the first time
Gadd, 36, who also wrote and created the critically-acclaimed drama, which is based on his own experiences with a 'stalker', said he was responsible for dropping the 'missing' eighth part.
The series follows comedian Donny Dunn (Gadd), who endures a harrowing ordeal after a woman called Martha, played by Jessica Gunning, becomes obsessed with him.
In Melbourne, Australia for an industry conference, Gadd said he 'fought hard' to cut the episode.
'I remember when we were developing it, there was the note that kept coming in, and probably rightfully so, about ''The show is just too dark. You need to give us a respite,"' Gadd told the audience at the Future Visions conference on Monday.

He said the cut episode showed his character 'escaping' the attentions of his stalker Martha by leaving his home in London to visit his 'parents'.
'There's a whole episode where I go to the football with my dad, and I spend a day with my dad [played by actor Mark Lewis Jones],' he continued.
'But I felt like a lot of the note that was coming in was that we needed a break from Martha because she's so relentless.
'But really, when we got to the edit, I thought ''You miss her every time she's not on screen.'' And I thought in a lot of ways, the sooner you get back to her, the better.'
Baby Reindeer soared to global success, racking up a massive 60 million views soon after dropping on Netflix in April 2024.
The show went on to score four prizes at the Primetime Emmy Awards in the US last September.
Gadd won gongs for Writing for a Limited or Anthology series or Movie and Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
Co-star Jessica Gunning won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role as the crazed fan.
The show also triumphed in the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series category.
Beating Black Mirror, Fargo, Fellow Travellers, Ripley and True Detective: Night Country to the Writing award, Gadd was visibly emotional as he took to the stage, telling the crowd: 'Oh, wow. Thanks so much. This is the stuff of dreams. Thanks so much to the Academy. Thank you to Netflix for letting me tell the story to the world.'

I supported The Holiday reboot - but they've massively screwed up
TV reboots aren't inherently evil. There, I've said it. I'm not denying that there are some absolute stinkers out there (the Frasier revival flop immediately springs to mind). But when done right, a reboot can be the perfect way of honouring the original and bridging the gap between generations. It's been almost 20 years since The Holiday was released and immediately became an annual festive classic among us hopeless romantics. Who can resist Jude Law's Mr Napkin Head, or Kate Winslet's rousing speech about becoming the leading lady of her own life? When I first heard about the reported TV reboot, I was hopeful. 'Why wouldn't it work?' I figured. There's no reason why the format of the story couldn't be repurposed with new characters, as they swap homes with someone on the other side of the world and embark on journeys of self-discovery. But then, I saw the news that made my heart sink. Nancy Meyers – the film virtuoso who not only wrote The Holiday, but also directed and co-produced it – isn't involved in the upcoming TV spin-off and claims she had absolutely no idea that it was even happening. My jaw fell to the ground. How could they even consider bringing The Holiday back without Meyers, the beating heart of the movie, without whom it wouldn't exist? Following the announcement of the TV reboot – which Deadline reports is being made by producers at Apple TV Plus – the filmmaker wrote on her Instagram Story: 'News to me. Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw.' Even if the bosses behind the remake had bafflingly decided not to involve her in the new production, to not even inform her that it was happening is shocking if true. I've spent my whole life inhaling Meyers' work. Before The Holiday, I grew up obsessively trying to learn The Parent Trap handshake and wishing I could be as cool a bride as Anne Banks in Father of the Bride, complete with her bedazzled trainers under her gown. There's a fine art to creating a TV reboot that both honours the original story on which it's based, and brings something new to audiences – and these three did just that. Cobra Kai has gone down as one of the most beloved Netflix shows ever, an offshoot from The Karate Kid franchise that brought back legendary rivals Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence decades after the original film. Disney Plus' period drama Shōgun was hailed a TV triumph when it premiered last year, over four decades after the book was adapted into a series starring Richard Chamberlain. Last year, Eddie Redmayne unleashed his sinister side playing the titular assassin in The Day of the Jackal – a role previously played by Edward Fox in 1973 – in a performance that viewers hailed as horrifyingly brilliant. There are admittedly too many reboots left, right and centre – but they don't have to be the enemy, especially when they deliver astounding TV. I remember going to watch The Holiday with my friends when I was 12 years old, rushing to the cinema straight after school in our uniform, gorging on popcorn as the twinkling piano keys of Hans Zimmer's Maestro began playing in the opening scene. Just a couple of years ago, two of my closest friends and I went to watch The Holiday In Concert at The Hammersmith Apollo, and the cheers that erupted from the women in the audience as Iris finally dumped her toxic ex Jasper once and for all made my heart sing. It might have been the prosecco we were sipping that made the scene bring a tear to my eye, but let's not downplay Meyers' writing. In a light-hearted romantic comedy, she created a cinematic heroine – with gallons of gumption – who I've truly looked up to for 19 years. After being made to feel as small as humanly possible, she discovers her self-worth and has the strength to step away from a soul-sucking relationship. To this day, I'm sure many women can see themselves in Iris when they find the courage to put themselves first. So a reboot could have been a perfect confidence booster for the next generation of women. However, taking The Holiday and spinning it into a limited series should not be done without Meyers' magical touch. I have no doubt that those in charge of the reboot are hugely talented in their own right. But will they be able to emulate Meyers' signature charm, her flair that makes you instantly recognise when her pen is behind the script? I don't think so. In December last year, Mr Napkin Head himself Law addressed the possibility of a sequel to The Holiday, telling 'Of course, that conversation comes up, 'Is there an idea?' But that all lands in Nancy Meyers' lap. More Trending 'She's pretty meticulous. So she would only do it if it was a really robust idea and then it would be whether the four of us would come back. I would be curious to see what they're all doing.' This was in reference to the original four leads returning to reprise their roles in a sequel, rather than a reboot with new characters. ‘Explosive' Love Is Blind UK season 2 trailer finally drops as Netflix confirms release schedule
Love Is Blind UK is making a comeback with the official season two trailer and release schedule now confirmed by Netflix. Love Is Blind UK season two is on its way with its trailer teasing love triangles, rows and heartbreak. Presenters and real life husband-and-wife duo Emma and Matt Willis are returning to front the UK's version of the iconic Netflix dating show Love Is Blind which will be airing its ninth series later this year. Once again, singletons looking for love from across the UK and Ireland are going to enter the pods in the hope of finding 'the one' without seeing them before getting engaged. But it looks like things are going to go horribly wrong for at least one couple as the official trailer, which has been released today, Monday, August 4, has teased some explosive scenes. This is then followed by an unknown woman taking off her engagement ring and putting it on a table as if she is about to leave the experiment. Emma then ends the teaser by asking the singletons: 'The question is, will you be saying 'I do' or walk away forever?' Along with the trailer, Netflix has also confirmed Love Is Blind UK season two's official release schedule so fans can know exactly when to expect new episodes to come out. Pamela Anderson finally gives her verdict on Meghan Markle 'copying' her cooking show
Pamela Anderson has finally spoken out on claims Meghan Markle 'ripped off' her cooking programme - that was released just before Meghan's own Netlix show Pamela Anderson has revealed what she really thinks of Meghan Markle's Netflix show - after it drew comparisons with her own cooking programme that was released a few days before. The ex-Baywatch star released 'Pamela's Cooking With Love' in February 2025. It premiered on the Flavour Network in Cananda before dropping on Amazon Prime, where UK viewers can currently watch it. It follows the 58-year-old, who has been vegan for more than 30 years, as she "invites some of today's most sought-after chefs to join her on a stunning rural property on Vancouver Island, where together, they'll prepare delicious plant-based meals." Then in March, 'With Love, Meghan' premiered on Netflix, following the Duchess of Sussex as she "invites friends and famous guests to a beautiful California estate, where she shares cooking, gardening and hosting tips. At the time Meghan was accused of 'copying' Pamela's new lifestyle series - with the two shows even sharing similar names. And the trailer for Pamela's show was released in October 2024, nearly three months before Meghan dropped hers. There is even similar dialogue, with Pamela explaining how "I just always have wanted to take things to another level". While Meghan declares: "I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it." Both women are also seen high-fiving guests in the short snippets. Fans were quick to notice the similarities, with one noting on X: "The entire concept is strikingly similar." As another vented: "Markle's show is a straight copy of Pamela Anderson's cooking and entertaining show. Go look at the trailer!" A third posted: "If you watch the trailer for Pamela's new show, it's a more authentic version of what Meghan was trying to achieve & it looks as though Meghan has copied everything! The trailers are so similar it's freaky." Now Pamela - who remained tight-lipped earlier this year - has had her say on what she thinks of the 'copycat' claims. Appearing on US chat show 'Watch What Happens Live', she played a game of 'Plead the Fifth' with host Andy Cohen. During the quick fire segment, she was asked: "On a scale of 1 to 10, how much of a rip off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show Pamela's Cooking With Love? There were articles saying these two shows were very similar." Pamela replied: "One," to which a shocked Andy said: "One? You didn't see any similarities?" Keeping things cordial, the actress went on to say: "No, but I didn't really look. I didn't invent cooking shows or anything," before adding of Meghan: "She's just doing her thing." She was then asked about Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone denying her claim that he once offered her a "condo and a Porsche to become his number one girl". There was no hesitation from Pamela as she replied: "Come on, why would I make that up?" But the question she dodged and used her 'Plead the Fifth' on was 'Rank your husbands from favourite to least favourite' referring to her four marriages to Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, Rick Salomon and Dan Hayhurst.
