Motorcyclist killed in crash near Jamesville senior living facility
JAMESVILLE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A crash turned deadly Sunday night near The Nottingham, a senior living facility in Jamesville.
According to DeWitt Police, a Subaru Crosstrek was making a left turn into the complex on the 1300 block of Nottingham Road just before 9 p.m. when it collided with a motorcycle.
The initial investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and suffered 'significant injuries.' He was rushed to Upstate University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Subaru driver was not injured. A passenger in the Subaru was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening neck injury.
As of Monday morning, no tickets have been issued, and the crash remains under investigation.

CT man dies after being ejected from vehicle during rollover crash on Route 8
A man was killed when he was ejected from his vehicle during a rollover crash on Route 8 in Seymour on Thursday. Emergency crews responded to a report of the crash shortly before 7 p.m. in the area of Exit 18 where they found that 37-year-old Daniel Popiolek of Beacon Falls had crashed his 2010 Subaru Legacy, according to Connecticut State Police. He was taken in an ambulance to Waterbury Hospital where he was pronounced dead, state police said. A preliminary investigation found that Popiolek was headed north on Route 8 in the left lane when he lost control of his vehicle and went into the roadside, state police said. The Subaru then rolled over and struck a light pole, ejecting him from the vehicle. The crash is still being investigated. North Lima man now facing charges in fatal crash
GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – A North Lima man answered to charges in a fatal crash last November. Joshua Johnston, 37, is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, a third-degree felony, and vehicular assault, a fourth-degree felony, as well as failure to yield and a seatbelt violation. Charges against Joshua Johnston were filed March 26 in Girard Municipal Court, and he was arraigned on Wednesday. Johnston was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion southbound on Warner Road on Nov. 10, 2024, when he failed to yield to a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek traveling eastbound on state Route 82, according to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The force of the crash pushed the Fusion off the road and into a ditch. A passenger, Miranda Zullo, 35 of Youngstown, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, 13-year-old Myle Johnston from Struthers, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. She has since been released from the ICU, and her mother said she is doing much better. Johnston has been incarcerated at the Belmont Correctional Institution after he was sentenced in December to a year in prison for breaking into the Smith Township home of his ex-girlfriend. He is set to be released from prison on November 17. Johnston is set to appear in court again for a preliminary hearing in his crash case on July 2. Man arrested after trying to abduct child waiting for school bus, Fairfax County police say
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. () — A man was arrested and charged after he tried abducting a child waiting for the school bus on Tuesday morning, police in Fairfax County said. The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said the charges stem from an incident that happened just after 8:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of Hemlock Drive in Annandale. There, FCPD learned a child was waiting for the school bus near Wadsworth Court and Little River Turnpike when a man drove up in a black Subaru and tried to persuade the child to get in his car. The child was able to get on their bus safely and reported what happened to a school official, who then notified FCPD.
