2nd Phase Of Ayodhya Ram Temple's Consecration To Start From June 3

The second phase of the consecration ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya will begin on Tuesday, officials said.
As a precursor to the 'pran pratishtha', a grand sacred procession was flagged off from the banks of the Saryu River on Monday, they said.
Police and administration officials have placed Ayodhya on high alert ahead of the event. Commandos from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) along with armoured vehicles have been deployed around the temple complex, which has been declared a red zone. Surveillance will continue round-the-clock in three shifts.
According to an official statement, the upcoming rituals will include the consecration of idols in the Ram Darbar on the temple's first floor and in six other temples within the complex walls. The main ceremonies will culminate on June 5, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra.
The Kalash Yatra began on Monday evening from the Saryu Ghat and proceeded through Veena Chowk, Ram Path, Singar Haat and Rang Mahal Barrier before reaching the temple premises.
On June 3 and 4, rituals including fire offerings accompanied by the chanting of 1,975 mantras, recitation of the Ram Raksha Stotra, Hanuman Chalisa and other devotional hymns will be held from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm. The main consecration of the idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Lord Hanuman along with six other temples will take place on June 5.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to attend four key events, including the main consecration ceremony, the Saryu Trayodashi Utsav, the birthday celebrations of trust president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, and an event on the World Environment Day.
Champat Rai, secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, issued a statement urging the public not to visit Ayodhya solely based on news of the rituals. No public invitations have been issued for June 3 to 5.
Rai clarified that while the temple remains open for 'darshan' of Ram Lalla, the first-floor Ram Darbar and nearby temples are still under construction and are not open to devotees.
District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde said extensive arrangements -- including shaded waiting areas, drinking water, sanitation and ORS sachets -- have been made for visitors at both the Ram Mandir and Hanumangarhi. Emergency hospital beds have also been reserved across the district.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover said multiple site inspections have been conducted and security has been fortified at all levels, both inside and outside the temple. Personnel from the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) and Special Task Force (STF) are also deployed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
A similar three-day celebration was held on January 11, marking the first anniversary of the original 'pran pratishtha' was held on January 22 last year.
It was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. That event drew lakhs of devotees. A large turnout is expected again this week.

Raipur: In yet another big blow to the Left Wing Extremism (LWE), another senior Maoist rank cadre — Bhaskar, who carried Rs 45 lakh bounty — was neutralized on Friday in an encounter that broke out in the same area where Maoists central committee member Sudhakar alias Tentu Lakshmi Narasimha Chalam was gunned down on Thursday in the forests of Bijapur. No Water, No Crops, No Clue: Pakistan Begs As India Turns Off The Tap After Pahalgam Massacre
New Delhi: Pakistan, the country that never misses a chance to provoke India, is now gasping for breath or rather, for water. After playing with fire in Pahalgam by sponsoring a bloodbath that left 26 innocents dead, Islamabad is now discovering the hard truth of New Delhi's blunt message: 'Water and blood cannot flow together.' India's suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty has pushed Pakistan to the brink of an existential water crisis – a slow and humiliating collapse that it brought upon itself. The Chenab River, once a lifeline for Pakistani farmers, has been choked at its source by India. Punjab and Sindh, Pakistan's most fertile provinces, are now watching their fields crack under a merciless sun. In Mangla and Tarbela, the country's two main dams, water levels have plummeted by nearly 50% – slashing irrigation and power generation. According to the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), 21% of the overall water flow has already dried up. The early kharif (summer sowing) season is a disaster. Even rabi (winter crops) are expected to fail unless India restarts water sharing – which it clearly will not unless Pakistan 'credibly and irreversibly' stops aiding cross-border terror. Pakistan Begging Behind Closed Doors As per sources, Pakistan has written four desperate letters to India in the past month – pleading for the restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty. Desperation in Islamabad Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif, rattled by the crisis, chaired a high-level emergency meeting on Thursday. His remedy? Build new dams fast. Its dam capacity stands at just 15.3 million acre-feet, woefully inadequate for its 240 million people. And the only 'strategy' it seems to have is blaming India. In an address full of empty bravado and tired anti-India rhetoric, Shehbaz Sharif claimed, 'India is threatening our water. But we will face this together with full strength and unity.' Really? A country that cannot manage its own reservoirs is now talking about unity – while begging its neighbour to turn the tap back on. Meanwhile, India has begun reimagining its own water strategy. Plans are underway for a 130-km canal linking the Beas to the Ganga canal, and a tunnel linking the Indus to the Yamuna – projects that will benefit Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi. The message is loud and clear – India will use its own rivers for its own people. It all began with 26 Indian lives lost in Pahalgam, and now, it is Pakistan's turn to pay – not with bullets, but with barren fields and empty taps. The Indus Waters Treaty, once seen as a symbol of diplomatic civility, has become a pressure point India is no longer afraid to use. No terror. No treaty. No water. This is the new doctrine New Delhi has made unmistakably clear, and Islamabad is finally waking up to the price of its proxy wars.

Chhattisgarh: Naxal leader Bhaskar, carrying cumulative bounty of ₹45 lakh, killed in Bijapur encounter
Amid the ongoing anti-Naxal operation in the Indravati National Park area of Bijapur district, the security forces on Friday killed top Naxalite leader Bhaskar, who carried a cumulative bounty of ₹ 45 lakh, reported PTI. According to the report, which quoted Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range Sundarraj, the security forces have recovered the dead body of Naxal Bhaskar, alias Mailarapu Adellu. Along with his body, the security forces have also recovered one AK-47 rifle and other explosives, weapons, and ammunition. The encounter of Bhaskar was part of the same anti-Naxal operation underway since Wednesday by personnel from the state police's Special Task Force (STF) and District Reserve Guard (DRG) as well as the CRPF's specialised unit CoBRA. "After the exchange of fire stopped, the body of a Naxalite along with one AK-47 rifle and other explosives, weapons, and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site. Preliminary identification suggests the body is of Bhaskar alias Mailarapu Adellu, a special zonal committee (SZC) member of the Telangana State Committee (TSC) of the outlawed Maoists," PTI quoted the IG as saying. "Bhaskar, a resident of Adilabad district in Telangana, was the secretary of the Mancherial-Komarambheem (MKB) division of the TSC of Maoists. He carried a reward of ₹ 25 lakhs in Chhattisgarh and 20 lakhs in Telangana," the IG added. As per the details, this is the third big success attained by the security forces, as they killed senior Maoist cadre and Central Committee Member (CCM) Narasimha Chalam, alias Gautam, also known as Sudhakar, on 5 June. Earlier, CPI (Maoist) general secretary Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju (70) was neutralised by security forces in the Bastar region.
