How Orlando Bloom is turning into ‘world's worst ex' after Katy Perry split from cringe behaviour to nepo-baby parties

The Suna day ago
HE's failed to reclaim his leading man status, ever since playing a sea-faring adventurer in Pirates of the Caribbean over two decades ago.
But Orlando Bloom has upped his swashbuckling adventures off-camera over the past few weeks, in the aftermath of his and Katy Perry's break-up.

All that's left us wondering: has Orlando, 48, assumed his greatest role yet…as the worst ex ever?
Because as far as he's concerned, his single era's in full Bloom. And he is making sure the world knows about it.
Whether it's air-kissing the Kardashians and co at the Bezos-Sanchez wedding, or partying with nepo babies half his age at Oasis's concert in Manchester, the former heartthrob has been keeping himself busy.
Meanwhile, his very recent ex has been grafting hard on her world tour, Lifetimes, and plastering on a smile following the end of their nine-year relationship.
His jam-packed social diary includes cringe-inducing selfies and videos, and a bleary-eyed appearance at Wimbledon the morning after the night before at Oasis.
Rewinding two months, the actor was there to greet Katy, with their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, in tow, following her all-female, 11-minute space flight with Blue Origin in April.
But behind the scenes, reports spread that the couple's out-of-this-world love had come crashing down to earth, amid rumours that Orlando wasn't happy with Katy's very attention-seeking spectacle.
One month later, their engagement was reportedly over, and they were duly pictured on opposite sides of the world.
For his part, Orlando rocked up solo to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's £20m wedding in Venice, while Katy - who's actually the one who's close to the billionaire pair - honoured her tour commitments in Australia.
They had yet to confirm the split, but the writing was on the wall, as Orlando got busy 'partying and cosying up' to Sydney Sweeney, among the many A-listers in attendance, and hugging a 'mystery woman' - who later turned out to be Katy's stylist, Jamie Mizrahi.
Emotional Katy Perry fights back tears onstage as she thanks fans after Orlando Bloom split
And the cringey behaviour didn't stop there, as Orlando - the man who didn't like Katy's public spectacle - decided to run a lap of Venice in the shortest shorts possible.
Needless to say, short-shrift was given to any alleged hopes he had of going incognito.
Days later, the former couple announced in a statement that 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.
'They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.'
Days later, they stayed true to their word - with Orlando sharing photos from a family holiday in Italy with Katy, Daisy Dove, and Orlando's son Flynn, 14, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
But after bidding the family arrivederci, the actor was off to the races - seemingly loving every minute of his newfound single life.
Over the weekend, he posted a video from Oasis's concert at Heaton Park, where he hobnobbed in the VIP section with the band's kids, including Liam Gallagher's sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 24.
Singing blissfully into his phone, the actor sparked a mixed reaction. Some loved his unbridled love for the band; others found it just a wee bit cringeworthy.
One commenter wrote: 'Midlife crisis on full display,' while another weighed in: 'Grow up.'
A third added: 'Hasn't done anything since Lord of the Rings.
'Such a boring non-entity.'
Not one to be deterred, the father of two partied into the night, before donning his fineries the following day to attend the Wimbledon Men's Final.
Dressed in a Ralph Lauren suit - with sunglasses to supposedly disguise the inevitable hangover - the actor watched Jannik Sinner beat Carlos Alcaraz to take the top title.
Taking to Instagram, he later wrote: 'What a game!!!
'There is something so reassuringly British and life affirming about Wimbledon.'
Once again, his exploits sparked a mixed reaction.
One follower joked, 'You're everywhere,' while another added, 'He's having quite the freeloading summer.'
Meanwhile, in contrast to his very social life, Orlando's acting career hasn't quite sparked the same global attention.
His most recent film, Deep Cover - in which he stars as an improv actor turned undercover agent - was released on Amazon Prime last month.
So far, it's garnered positive reviews, but it's had half the impact of Orlando's social calendar.
What's more, he may have been Hollywood hot property in the noughties - with roles in massive franchises like Lord of The Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean - but he's hardly made a splash since.
He's worked relatively consistently, but his personal life has always eclipsed his professional output.
Very public relationships with actress Kate Bosworth and first wife Miranda Kerr have increased his reputation as a celebrity romancer.
That was then cemented when he got together with singer Katy in 2016 - before proposing in 2020.
They'd initially planned to get married in Japan later that year, but the COVID-19 pandemic scuppered those chances.
Then, after the initial postponement, they said their busy schedules kept getting in the way.
Sources have since said: "They never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything, and Orlando is 'over it.''
Meanwhile, despite Orlando's love for things 'reassuringly British' he's slowly but surely become a parody of an LA cliche.
90 percent vegan
In 2021, he went viral for all the wrong reasons, after taking part in the Sunday Times' Day in the Life series.
On an average day, he said, he woke up at 6.30am and spent time 'connecting' with his then baby daughter.
He said: 'I'll do eye-gazing with her and sing songs.'
Then, his day got progressively madder, as he explained: 'I like to earn my breakfast so I'll just have some green powders that I mix with brain octane oil, a collagen powder for my hair and nails, and some protein.
'It's all quite LA, really.'
As well as chanting 'for 20 minutes every day, religiously', he also went hiking and built Lego.
Capping off the universally-mocked feature, he explained why he was 90 percent vegan, opining: 'I sometimes look at a cow and think, that's the most beautiful thing ever'...despite the fact that, 10 percent of the time, he ate red meat.
Orlando was duly mocked to oblivion for his 'normal routine' - and his reputation hasn't quite survived the wreckage.
Now, as he continues to make hay while the sun shines on his very single summer, we're all wondering: are we watching him play his biggest role to date, as the world's worst - and certainly most embarrassing - ex?
Sadly for Katy, Orlando may have hung up his pirate costume decades ago… but it looks like he's more determined than ever to sail the seas.

The secret drink fuelling Liam Gallagher's voice on tour after Oasis star vowed to ditch the booze

Liam Gallagher has been drinking apple cider vinegar on the Oasis tour after vowing to ditch the booze. Before the reunion gigs kicked off, Liam vowed to cut alcohol out his diet to keep his voice in check for the stage. After years of drinking heavily on tour in the nineties, Liam prefers a glass of the soft drink. In a picture obtained by The Sun, Liam emerged on stage holding the drink at one of the band's Heaton Park gigs over the weekend. Liam has previously spoke about his love for apple cider vinegar and honey and how it helps his voice. He said: 'I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. 'Apparently, it's great for everything. Mam has it for arthritis and it's really good for her. 'So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. 'It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. I've got a thyroid problem – Hashimoto's disease – so I can get a really hoarse voice. 'It makes you tired and your bones are creaky, but you have this drink and it makes you a bit Jumping Jack Flash.' He added: 'It's very f****** boring, it doesn't get you pissed, but you can have other stuff as well.' Liam and Noel are currently enjoying a five night stint of sold out shows in their home city of Manchester as their reunion tour gets well under way. However it seems the Oasis reunion tour may lead to even bigger and better things with the band reportedly inundated with big money offers to play major festivals next year. With the hype around the Brit pop band greater than ever The Sun have reported that their teams are receiving requests for Liam and Noel to play big shows all over the globe including Coachella and Benicassim. With the hype around the Brit pop band greater than ever their teams are receiving requests for Liam and Noel to play big shows all over the globe including Coachella and Benicassim An insider told the publication: 'If fans thought Oasis were busy, they should see the offers their teams are fielding behind the scenes. 'None of the bids are being accepted at the moment. They're just being stacked up to be discussed at a later date. The focus for Oasis is this tour, and so far it's been a phenomenal success.' They added: 'Any decisions about future performances are a long way off — but some of them look incredibly tempting.' It will be down to Noel and Liam whether they continue following the existing dates, but they are loving being back on stage performing to their loyal fans. MailOnline contacted Oasis' representatives for comment at the time. Oasis' 41 date reunion tour, which kicked off in Cardiff last week, will also see the band head to the rest of the UK, Ireland, Australia, the US and Mexico.

Queen Camilla beams in the sunshine in stunning portrait released by Buckingham Palace to mark her 78th birthday

Queen Camilla was photographed beaming in the sunshine in a stunning new birthday portrait released by Buckingham Palace to mark her 78th birthday tomorrow. Royal photographer Chris Jackson, who also photographed the then-Duchess of Cornwall on her 75th birthday, took the picture earlier this month at Ray Mill - the Queen's private residence in Wiltshire. Camilla is pictured with a big smile on her face as she leans against a fence while enjoying a warm summer day at her home. She opted to wear a bright teal dress with motifs of a colourful bird as the Queen appeared relaxed and happy in her latest portrait. She is wearing the same Fiona Clare dress in an earlier image released by the Royal Family on July 14 - three days before her birthday. In that photo, the King's wife was seen cuddling her sweet rescue dog, Jack Russell-cross Moley, in the garden of her Wiltshire home. Camilla, who often repurposes her outfits for different occasions, also picked the striking maxi dress for the final day of the King and Queen's state visit to Kenya in 2023. For her birthday portrait, Camilla opted to keep her makeup light and dewy as she wore a hint of blusher, a light coat of mascara, and a swipe of pink lip gloss. She also kept her accessories to a minimum, with Camilla opting to wear a stack of rings - including her five-carat engagement ring from King Charles - and a pair of gold earrings. The release of her birthday portrait comes after Camilla unveiled a new dog garden at the Battersea animal shelter in central London, which was thought to have been originally created this year's Chelsea Flower Show by broadcaster and gardening expert, Monty Don. The outdoor space was designed in collaboration with the RHS and BBC Radio 2 and was gifted to the animal charity to help provide a calming environment for canines. Camilla fastened a sweet Terrier badge to her chest to honour her visit to the animal shelter, which cares for strays and abandoned pets. The Queen rescued Jack Russell-cross, Moley, from Battersea earlier this year when she was just eight weeks old. It's understood that Moley is a female and was born on Boxing Day and her mother is half Jack Russell, half unknown - while her father's breed is also unknown. It's thought Moley lives at Rat Hill, Queen Camilla's private Wiltshire residence, although it's expected she'll accompany the royal couple when they stay at official royal residences. The Queen revealed the happy news as she affectionately stroked a guide dog while meeting a partially-sighted museum group in the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge located in the centre of Canterbury's bustling high street in February. 'I've just got a new puppy, he's eight-weeks old,' she told owner Susan Mason, 66, who is partially-sighted. When Ms Mason asked what breed she is, the Queen laughed and said: 'You may well ask, a bit of everything. It's a rescue dog. It's called Moley - it looks just like a mole.' She has been patron of Battersea since 2017 and had a tour around the new garden, which has shady spots for pooches to cool down from the sun, along with grass and also sensory elements with the aim of helping them de-stress. One day before her birthday, Camilla appeared in high spirits as she attended a garden party at HMNB Devonport on Wednesday to honour her new position as Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom. The royal attended the event in Plymouth, which marked the end of HMS Astute's first commission - the longest first commission of any Royal Navy submarine in history - at over 15 years. Camilla - who has become the first female Vice Admiral of the UK - put her best fashion foot forward in a sapphire pleated blue dress which fell elegantly to her ankles and paired the stunning ensemble with her trusty nude and black heels, pearl earrings and a classy gold brooch. Love Island slammed by Women's Aid for ‘misogyny and sexism' in statement amid Harrison's shocking treatment of Lauren

LOVE Island has been slammed by Women's Aid for 'misogyny and sexism' in a statement amid Harrison's shocking treatment of Lauren. Following a turbulent relationship with Toni, Harrison returned from Casa Amor last week accompanied by Lauren. However, despite this, he has continued to engage in flirty conversations with Toni on the villa's terrace, frequently telling each woman different things. On Tuesday, fans shared their fury, labelling Harrison 'disgusting' after he appeared to have had sex with Lauren before later returning to Toni. She had, until recently, remained unaware of the full details of Harrison's encounters. Lauren was left in tears after Harrison chose to crawl back to Toni despite their recent encounter. In response, Women's Aid has issued a statement condemning his behaviour and criticising the ITV reality show for perpetuating misogyny and sexism. Jessye Werner, Communications Manager at Women's Aid, acknowledged the efforts production companies have made to highlight toxic behaviours but stressed that more progress is necessary. She told The Tab: "Despite these positive steps, we still see unhealthy patterns of behaviour on these shows, showing just how steeped in misogyny and sexism our society still is. 'Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs. Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls. 'More must be done to educate contestants on sexism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them.' The Sun has contacted ITV for comment. Watch moment Love Island's Harrison breaks down in tears and begs for forgiveness after shock betrayal In tonight's episode, Toni was left furious as Harrison finally confessed to two sexy sessions with Lauren. In a tense conversation, Harrison pulled Toni for a chat to reveal the truth about his involvement with Lauren. The moment followed days of speculation in the villa, with several Islanders urging Harrison to come clean. He said: 'I just wanted to tell you something. I'm saying this so that you know the whole truth about the situation… obviously, with me and Lauren. Obviously, the other night… we slept together.' The revelation left Toni visibly stunned, having previously believed Harrison and Lauren had only kissed. Before the conversation, Harrison was seen confiding in the boys, admitting he's struggling with how to break the news. He said: 'Still not great, to be fair, mate. Do I go in and say it straight away or have a nice conversation first?' He was advised to be direct and avoid getting sidetracked. 'Don't make it all flirty and laughy,' Conor warned. 'You might not say it.' It had been a dramatic week on the show, topped off with a shock recoupling that saw Toni pick Harrison, after he'd slept with Lauren. Fans demanded he was axed from the villa after his 'disgusting' sex move. Harrison was called the "lowest of the low", with fans begging producers to step in and axe this "damaging boy' after he had sex with Lauren. Viewers were up in arms over the way Harrison played with the heartstrings of some of the girls. In recent scenes, fans watched as he and Lauren had sex in the bedroom, before he pulled Toni for a chat a short while later and made his feelings for her known. They were left shocked by Harrison's recent behaviour and the way he has played both Toni and Lauren, and now they've demanded he's axed from the villa. Taking to X, one furious user penned: 'I am actually disgusted by harrison and how he treated lauren and it actually puts me off watching this show tbh 'Being used for sex is bad enough but it being broadcast for anyone to see is actually dreadful. i can't even imagine how she's feeling right now. I'm not even a lauren fan but honestly wish i could give her a hug myself rn.' A second person added: 'Absolute deviant is never done licking his lips. Makes me sick.' A third wrote: 'He's officially the worst islander this season for me. i need him gone.' Someone else echoed: 'I don't understand how people like him don't get booted from the show for being f****** disgusting.' And someone else wrote: 'Harrison is vile but using sex to try to solidify a relationship then lying about it is bad behavior on both sides of I'm being honest. I hope Toni finds out and it all explodes.' There were hundreds of comments on social media about Harrison's behaviour, following his shocking villa antics. The drama also started when both Toni and Harrison chose to recouple with different people when they came back from Casa Amor. However the exes shocked fans when they snuck off to the terrace together. Harrison then confessed he still wasn't over Toni despite ditching her for Lauren . Gazing into her eyes, he asked: "Would it be bad if I kissed you right now?" While Harrison was doing this, poor Lauren was crying downstairs. However, later he manage to convince her everything was ok. That evening the pair had sex, despite him begging Toni to kiss him just hours before. After doing the deed, Harrison told the boys the "full-time whistle blew" as he used a football analogy to explain their bedroom activities.
