The REAL reason Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were so PDA-heavy during New Heights podcast
Taylor made her first podcast appearance on her boyfriend's show, which he co-hosts with his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason, on Wednesday evening.
During the podcast, the two seemed more in love than ever as Taylor spoke about her relationship with Travis' family and even had an emotional moment where she teared up about her music.
And, according to body language expert Judi James, they are a perfect match when it comes to their public displays of affection.
'Travis's apple-rounded cheeks and his clenched teeth visible in his smile shows a mix of excitement, anxiety and adoration as he chats through the intro with his brother,' James said about the high-energy beginning of the show.
'Taylor appears like magic and their touch rituals underpin their banter in a fascinating and telling form of layered communication and non-verbal "tie-signs" between the pair,' she continued.
'There is a sensual overlap, with Taylor's arm shielded behind Travis's with his left arm stretched over her and his hand placed on her lap in a signal of intimacy. This touch behavior shows off their romantic baseline.'
James also noted that the couple display similar behavior, a tell-tale sign that they're in sync romantically.
'As they banter verbally there's a continual pattern to their twinning behavior: They twine arms, hands and bodies together, untwine and re-twine constantly, showing their individual profiles but always linking back to their very strong and sexual ties as a couple,' she said.
'It makes her teasing of him balance up. At one point she "frames" his face with her hands and he ducks his head like a puppy, even leaning to kiss her palm compliantly but then they re-twine or his arm is around her back and she's slapping his thigh to laugh as though they share the same body,' James explained.
However, the body language expert pointed out signs of 'inner anxiety' from Travis as Jason interviewed Taylor.
'He bites his lip, sucks his lips inward and even gently mimes silent words with his lips as Taylor speaks as though helping her out,' James shared, adding that Taylor proved she could 'more than hold her own when it comes to some eloquent banter.'
But their relationship has another aspect to it, too - one that's more emotional.
James pointed out that when Taylor began to tear up as she recalled the story of buying back her masters, Travis was completely in check with his partner.
'He seems especially tuned into Taylor emotionally, with mirroring and anticipatory rituals, and then a very sweet display of tactile support after her tears, where we can see both his hands performing small stroking gestures on her back, hip and her hand to reward and show support,' James said.
'He is verbally defensive and protective of her too, jumping in quickly to remind his brother that she is "The smartest person in the world" and to big her up quickly and comprehensively'
'He becomes slightly protective when his brother questions her about her music, stroking his mic in what looks like a warning signal to not quiz too far and even beginning to ask Taylor a question himself to keep the very positive vibe going,' she continued.
'He is verbally defensive and protective of her too, jumping in quickly to remind his brother that she is "the smartest person in the world" and to big her up quickly and comprehensively.'
During the podcast, Taylor also spoke about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, and her newfound love for football.
Travis and Taylor began dating in the summer of 2023, after he attended her Eras Tour in Kansas City.

Tommy ultimately did 20 push-ups before his dad then broke the news that he'd also have to do squats. The nine-year-old did a whopping 60 squats before his dad finally told him he could stop. 'Do we tell mom to "chill out?" Absolutely not,' Dustin told him after he was done. 'I wouldn't let anybody else talk to her like that so you don't get to talk to her like that.' Tommy then apologized to his mom and the video ended with Dustin telling him, 'I love you,' before the father and son hugged. 'I will never stop being grateful to be raising kids with a real man who knows how to be a father, especially to his boys. This is masculinity,' Katie wrote in the caption of the video, which got more than 1.4 million views. But viewers were divided over the interaction, with some applauding Dustin's method and others bashing the parents for making their son do physical activity as punishment. While chatting exclusively with the Daily Mail, Katie and Dustin defended their actions. 'This is not something exceptionally difficult for him because we all workout together as a family for fun several times a week and he is used to this sort of exertion,' Dustin explained. 'You can tell right away when I ask him, "What did you say?' that he knew he had messed up. 'He is such a great kid and is generally very remorseful when he knows that he made a mistake. 'He was very receptive to the consequence, gave a little bit of pushback when he started to feel he couldn't do more, but I encouraged him and told him that he had it in him and he was able to complete it.' Dustin applauded Tommy for apologizing to Katie without being asked to and pointed out that the moment 'ended with love.' 'The physical exercise allows him to refocus when he feels that he doesn't have control over his body and mind which always makes him more reception to healthy communication,' he added. The couple said they never expected the video to get the reaction that it did, and they viewed it as a 'tender parenting moment.' 'It meant something special to Katie because she grew up in a home where there was a lot of toxicity, emotionally reactive parenting, yelling and anger,' Dustin continued. Drake Bell moves on to finalize divorce from Janet Von Schmeling
Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has taken the final steps to finalize the divorce from wife Janet Von Schmeling. The 39-year-old actor filed a petition in Seminole County, Florida on Thursday, according to TMZ. It comes after Janet initially filed to end the marriage in Los Angeles Superior Court in April 2023, citing their date of separation as September 2022. Drake and Janet's separation was made public in January 2023, with his estranged wife filing for divorce that April. They began dating in 2013 and got married in 2018. At the time of their separation, insiders revealed to Page Six that he had entered 'treatment' weeks after he was seen huffing a balloon in the front seat of his parked car while their son slept in the backseat.
