Minchinhampton hotel manager's race to support struggling fathers

Yahoo4 days ago
A HOTEL manager is taking on a new challenge in support of a cause close to his heart.
Tom Leahy, general manager at Burleigh Court in Minchinhampton, is running the Westonbirt Half Marathon on Sunday, September 7, to raise funds for Dad's House, a charity supporting fathers.
Mr Leahy said: "This charity is very close to me.
"Over the past year, I've been through my own personal problems and, thankfully, I've come out the other side.
"But knowing what this amazing charity offers dads is incredible.
"I'm doing this for all the dads out there – and especially for my two amazing children, Arlo and Ottilie.
"They are my world, and they've given me the strength to keep going.
"I want to help other dads find that strength too."
Dad's House, founded by William McGranaghan, offers food support, legal advice, and mental health counselling for fathers in need.

Mr Leahy has adopted a new diet and training regime to prepare for the 13.1-mile race.
