We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page.
Start making a list of all the things you wanna do with your newfound free time.
1. A pack of duster sponges designed to trap dust instead of sending it flying everywhere like other cleaning methods. Now you can spend less time chasing down dust bunnies, and more time relaxing in your sparkling clean home!
www.amazon.com
BuzzFeed editor Maitland Quitmeyer has this to say about them: "I bought a pack of these and love dusting with them! All the dust sticks right on, so you don't end up breathing in all the dust you just tried removing. It's great for baseboards, too!"
Promising review: "I rarely review products, but this little sponge literally changed my life! It picks up EVERYthing in one swipe! Hard water marks on your bathroom mirror, no problem! Hair clippings are on your sink and counter. One swipe, and they are gone! Dusty blinds? Swoosh, swoosh, swipe! And ala-presto ka-bam, like magic, they are perfect and dust-free! I just need one of these for my floors! I love, love, love how the sponge picks up everything, and with a little running water, all the dust, hair, muck, and guck just rinsed away! This will not disappoint! Thank you!" — DayDreamer
Get a four-pack from Amazon for $9.99 (available in six color packs and packs of two, four, and eight).
2. A reusable pet hair remover for anyone who can never seem to get all of their pet's fur off of their clothes and furniture. Just roll it over your fuzz-covered item of choice, and watch it lift the fur RIGHT OFF. Then simply dump out and reuse — no more annoying sticky papers like other lint rollers!
Promising reviews:" If I could give this product 6 stars, I would. My husband and I use it almost every day. We have three furry dogs and six fluffy cats, which makes for A LOT of hair. We were using a lint roller before we bought our ChomChom Roller. The lint roller didn't work very well and had to be replaced. We have had our ChomChom Roller for months and it still works just as well as it did when we first got it. We can actually invite our friends over now without worrying about all the pet hair." — Morgan Willis
" Works great and is very easy and quick to use! We use it mainly on the couch. We have a white dog who is almost 100 pounds. Leaves his hair everywhere. This gadget makes it easy to clean up." — Amazon Customer
Get it from Amazon for $23.99+ (available in three colors).
3. A self-charging Lefant robo vacuum that scoots around and does the work all on its own so you can do other things like take a nap, go for a walk, cook dinner, or catch up on your favorite show.
amazon.com, amazon.com
4. A no-scrub weekly shower cleaner making it easy to keep your tub and shower nice and shiny. All you have to do is spray, let it sit, and rinse — it'll clean and prevent scummy buildup all on its own. No scrubbing or wiping required, hooray!
Promising review:"This stuff is amazing! I had a horrible gray ring in the bottom of my shower that was impossible to remove. I had tried the Dawn dish soap method (with a lot of scrubbing) and even used toilet bowl cleaner to try to remove the soap scum. My next step was to tear out and replace the shower pan and tile. I figured this was my last chance. I ordered the Wet & Forget spray, and really coated the shower walls and floor pan, and walked away. I CANNOT begin to tell you how happy I was to rinse down the walls sometime later and watch all that crud roll right down the drain!! This is the best product I have ever used in my life!! Works great and no toxic fumes!!" — Amazon Customer
Get it from Amazon for $19.98+ (available in two scents, two sizes, and multipacks).
5. A pooper scooper because it's faster and easier than bending over to grab every single one of your precious pup's poops.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"We love to spend time outside but loathe cleaning up after our dogs. We've tried many things over the years but this has been the best. It's so quick and easy to clean up after them. I don't have to bend down anymore either (we used to use individual dog waste bags). Wish I would have found this years ago!" — sleak88
Get it from Amazon for $19.98.
6. A foaming garbage disposal cleaner that'll bubble and fizz through the odor-causing grime all on its own while you just stand back and wish you'd gotten it sooner.
www.youtube.com
All you have to do is run a strong stream of hot water into the sink for a minute, reduce the water to a trickle, insert one of the packets into the disposer, turn on the disposer, and let it do the rest! Then simply rinse the sink, and you're done!
Promising review:"Saw on TikTok (don't judge) and automatically added to cart. So easy to use, takes probably a minute to fully bubble up and clean, and you're left with a clean sink! I use with other drain cleaning products, but would 100% recommend for weekly maintenance." — Jessica House
Get a four-pack from Amazon for $7.60.
7. A beard trimmings catcher so you can stop dreading the cleanup that inevitably comes with shaving your face over the sink. Tired of thousands of tiny hairs scattered all over the counter every time you wanna give yourself a trim? This bib suctions to the mirror, so all you have to do is wear the other end around your neck to catch all of the mess!
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"My girlfriend bought this for me as a present. At first I was skeptical to use it, but once I got my hands on it there was no going back. I use my Beard Bib anywhere from two to four times a week and cannot live without it. Not only does this serve a big purpose in my trimming routine, but now I no longer have to argue with my girlfriend about all the mess that I USED to create!" — Timur
Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in five colors/styles).
8. An "Angry Mama" microwave cleaner — it'll loosen those splatters and stains so all you have to do is wipe them clean.
www.amazon.com

Promising review:"I'm embarrassed to say I hadn't cleaned my microwave in about six months. It's an awful task. I ran Angry Mama one time, wiped down easily, then ran it one more time to get it detailed really clean. Highly recommend using it more often than once every six months for a super fast, super clean microwave!" — Kelsey
Get it from Amazon for $8.49+ (available in four colors).
9. A set of three drill brush attachments capable of making your surfaces look brand-new — without any scrubbing on your part! Just attach the brush head to your drill, turn it on, and watch all of that grime disappear so fast and easily, you'll think it's magic.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com

Note: Each color of the Drill Brush attachment corresponds to the type of bristles they have, and each one is best suited for a specific type of cleaning job (for example, the yellow brush has medium bristles, best used for bathroom cleaning — bathtubs, showers, tile, and porcelain). Be sure to check the listing for which color is best for your intended purpose before buying!
Drill Brush is a small business based in New York that makes cleaning brushes that attach to drills. It was started in 2007 by a former electrician who suffered from carpal tunnel and needed a way to clean without causing him harm.
Promising review:"Makes cleaning dirty kitchen floor grout so simple and fast! I had been struggling on my hands and knees with a toothbrush and liquid cleaner for years to get my kitchen tile grout clean. Eventually I just 'let it go,' and it got very dark. Amazingly, with a spray of liquid cleaner and a few minutes wait, the Drill Brush and my husband's drill did the job in record time. I would recommend the Drill Brush set to anyone who doesn't enjoy cleaning grout the old fashioned way." — Emir D Hayric
Get the set of three from Amazon for $18.95 (available in six colors and six bristle stiffnesses).
10. A silicone, extendable " Broombi" that acts as an all-surface broom, squeegee, and pet hair remover, allowing you to take on everything from glass, fine dust, hair, and liquids with ease! This lightweight cleaning tool works quickly and effectively on smooth floors, rugs, windows, tight corners, wide areas, and hard-to-reach places like under beds and sofas, making it your new cleaning BFF!
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Broombi is a small business that specializes in household cleaning and pet hair-removing products.
Promising review:"Absolutely love this broom! It does everything it states and shows. Excellent on carpets and spilled messes on the floor. Love how I get more dust and dirt off the floors. Also love that it can be made longer with just a quick twist. Durable and stable, and the appearance is much better than a tattered brush at the bottom of most brooms! Getting into the corners is so much easier, too. Excellent broom!" — Sandra Moyer
Get it from Amazon for $34.95 (available in two colors).
11. A Levoit air purifier with a HEPA filter, because it'll collect an impressive amount of dust, pollen, and pet dander that otherwise would've ended up coating your surfaces for *you* to clean.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review: "I was skeptical any air purifier at this price could do much, but I tried it! I have a medium-sized music room for record collections and playing those records etc. The room is about 18 x 18. I hate dealing with dust getting on the records and equipment. I took note of some dark items with dust on them first. Then, I cleaned those items to see if they would stay clean because it usually takes a few days to be covered again. I ran the Levoit at medium speed for two weeks solid, and those surfaces look just as clean as when I cleaned them. Does it work? Yes, it does! The lowest setting is pretty quiet, but the medium and high can be fairly loud. I turn it off during listening times." — Charles Tweedy
Get a purifier that can cover up to 1095 st. ft spaces from Amazon for $99.99+ (available in black and white, plus a WiFi-enabled version and a version for people with pets). You can also get a mini size for up to 337 sq ft. for $49.99+ (available in black and white).
12. A window cleaning robot so wiping down the windows can stop being your job. Reviewers also use it to clean their shower walls, mirrors, and even their floors if you're really trying to knock out a bunch of tasks with one device!
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"I recently purchased this and it has truly exceeded all my expectations. Our apartment has windows that have been a persistent challenge since we moved in two years ago. Despite our best efforts, we haven't been able to clean them effectively. The robot has been a game-changer. It was incredibly easy to set up right out of the box. I simply attached it to the window, added a bit of water, and let it do its work. The results were nothing short of spectacular.
"What stands out is the thoroughness of the cleaning. It managed to reach most of the surface area effortlessly — something we struggled with when sticking our hand outside the window. The robot's ability to handle such a large surface with minimal intervention is remarkable. It has saved us a significant amount of time and made window maintenance a breeze. The design is sleek, and it operates quietly, which is a nice bonus. I'm genuinely thrilled with the results and would highly recommend this window cleaning robot to anyone." — Hei C.
Get it from Amazon for $399.99 (available in two styles).
13. A pack of Bottle Bright tablets to make your gunky, stained tumbler look and smell brand-new, no scrubbing necessary!
www.amazon.com
Bottle Bright is a US-based small business established in 2009 that specializes in cleaning products.
Promising review:"I keep two stainless-steel mugs at work, and they rotate between tea, water, and occasionally coffee. I'm good about washing them, but they had still developed a thin, tea-colored patina. I didn't think there'd be much of a difference after using these tablets (I really bought them for a coworker whose mug is thick with stains), but WOW! Ten minutes with simmering-hot water made my mugs look brand-new. I didn't realize how stained the mugs actually were." — Library Chick
Get a 12-pack from Amazon for $8 (also available in multipacks).

Highly recommend!" — Sallie R.
Get it from Amazon for $9.22.

www.amazon.com
The hands-free cleaning cycle runs 20 minutes after your cat leaves the litter box, moving their waste to a leak-proof, odor-controlled, and disposable tray underneath. Also grab a bag of scoop-free crystal litter and tray refills, too.
Promising reviews:"This litter box is a must for any busy family that struggles to keep up with the daily maintenance of having a cat and a litter box! It works well, and my cat is so happy always having a clean litter box." — Kelsey Decker
"I rarely write product reviews but this litter box actually made a huge difference for my house! I have had a cat for about 10 years who decides to do the number 2 about two feet outside the litter box. He has ALWAYS done this, no matter what type of litter or box. I even asked my vet about it, and his response was, "Some cats are just jerks"😂. Then I got this litter box. For the first time EVER, he does ALL of his business in the box! And there is no odor at all!! I love it so much I have two. Would highly recommend!!" — Emily Stokes

16. A drain clog remover that makes it super easy to clear your sink, tub, or shower drain in mere seconds! No plumbing skills required whatsoever.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"When I pulled the orange plastic spiked strip from the package, I was immediately skeptical and felt like all those 5-star reviews were from people who exist in an alternate universe. I was tempted to initiate a return on Amazon but decided that I might as well gamble on a piece of $9 plastic before gambling $200 on a plumber. I slipped the plastic strip down my shower drain and literally FIVE SECONDS LATER I was pulling up gobs and gobs and gobs of hair. HOLY COW!!!!!!!! OHMYGOSH. I can't believe I still have any hair left on my head. SO MUCH REPULSIVE GUNK!!!! It's a grisly, messy, smelly, and oh so rewarding job." — Chocolate and Chips
Get a five-pack from Amazon for $7.19+ (available in two colors and packs of three and 12).

We had already replaced one section before finding these and were worried we'd have to replace another section at a cost of $3,000. Stomp and leave it for 24 hours and I was amazed to see my carpet was its original light cream color. I now stock a box of these and have told every one of my pet-owning friends about them. I'll never spend hours scrubbing the floor or carpet shampooing again!" — findingk8

Promising reviews:"Just used these for the first time with my Swiffer WetJet and I gotta say I am impressed! Went on easily and cleaned the floors easily! No scrubbing, no pain, and no more dirt, mud, sand, ice melt, *POOP*, and other grime getting tracked around your home for you to clean up.
Promising review:" I've been using this for a few weeks, and I love it. It cleans the salt off my dogs' paws so easily. When it's super dirty and the streets are covered in salt, I'll refresh the water supply. I add a few drops of their doggie shampoo, and it works great. I have four dogs in NYC. I have to wash their feet after every walk because the streets are so filthy. It would take me about 10–15 minutes to clean their paws with a spray bottle and towel. Now, it takes about five minutes. And the towel doesn't end up filthy. The dirt gets caught in the cup. Plus the dogs seem to like it. The silicone bristles must feel good. A huge thumbs-up!" — Sandra

amazon.com
Promising review:"I was skeptical when I saw this recommended but I decided to give it a try. It works well and makes it easy to do a quick clean of my bag. Once you figure out how to open it (give the plastic ball a little squeeze and it pops open like a plastic Easter egg), then it is easy to clean. It's still working well after several washes." — jsl
Get it from Amazon for $13.99 (available in five colors and multipacks).

Includes a wand, storage caddy, and six disinfecting wand head refills.
Promising review:"So, we have a toilet that belongs to the cats. We don't use it, we don't look at it, we like to pretend it does not exist. Even with semi-regular flushing, cat waste is pretty nasty stuff and built up quickly in the bowl. One of these wands cleaned it up in a single session! Before and after pic attached." — Whitney
Get it from Amazon for $20.86.
23. Or a pack of Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaning stamps that'll hang out on the inside of your bowl and give it a lil' clean with every flush...so you don't have to get in there and do the cleaning yourself!

Amazon
Frywall is a New York-based small business that specializes in protective kitchen accessories.
Promising review:"I was frying chicken with lard, and I put too much in the frying pan. A few minutes after putting the chicken in, the lard began to bubble up, and if I hadn't had the Frywall in place, it would have spilled all over my stove. The Frywall creates a seal around my frying pan, stopping spillovers. Splatters don't escape, it's easy to work around it (turning my chicken over), and when I'm done, I just throw it in the dishwasher. If you do any frying at all, you want the Frywall. Helpful." — Carl G Brown
Get it from Amazon for $23.95 (available in four colors).
25. A pet urine stain removing spray perfect for pet owners who are desperate to remove spots and smells both old and new. Simply spray and let the enzymes gobble up all the gross stuff you don't feel like spending forever scrubbing away at. Then just blot and let air dry, and you can cross it off your to-do list!
www.amazon.com
Rocco & Roxie Supply Company is a family-owned small business established in 2013 that specializes in pet odor eliminators, pet toys, pet snacks, and pet accessories.
Promising review:"Y'all! This stuff is AMAZING! I sprayed the carpet thoroughly to where it was pretty saturated and let it sit overnight. Let me just say I was EXTREMELY impressed. The carpet was brighter, smelled fresher and it wasn't stiff how other carpet cleaners tend to leave your carpet! The thing I was most impressed by though was that the dark spots on our carpet were completely gone and this was without having to do any scrubbing! I literally sprayed the carpet the night before and I woke up to a cleaner, like-new carpet the next morning! I'm extremely extremely impressed and will be ordering the gallon size to do the entire carpet." — Ieshia M.
Get it from Amazon for $23.92+ (available in two scents and sizes).
26. Or a lovely smelling and powerful odor-eliminating spray — if you've spent forever scrubbing away at pet messes, but *still* can't seem to get rid of the odor, simply spray this stuff for a fast and low-effort solution! And when it's done drying, it'll leave behind the scent of fresh-squeezed oranges instead of irritating chemicals.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
While reviewers love the way this stuff deals with gross smells, they warn not to spray it directly on pets as some may find it irritating.
Promising review:"LOVE this stuff! Great smell, and stains come right out! New puppy went frequently in one room. That room stunk even after using almost a whole bottle of a different cleaner! I sprayed one time with this, and all the smell was gone! In the pics, the before is of a puppy accident after cleanup with paper towels, and the after picture shows how it looked after using Angry Orange." — Jamie L Stewart
Get it from Amazon for $17.96+ (available in two scents, two sizes, and multipacks).
27. And finally, a set of oven liners here to make the concept of ~cleaning the oven~ a thing of the past. (Your back will thank you.) And when the liners need to be cleaned, simply put them in the dishwasher or rinse by hand!
Amazon
Promising review:"I got tired of cleaning the bottom of my oven out after every drip and spill, or running the 'oven clean' option, which uses up so much energy and makes my house HOT during the process. I used to have foil on the bottom of the oven to help with spills, and that improved things greatly — but then you have to replace the foil after a while.
"I had to cut them to size, which was easy to do with a simple pair of household scissors. Then I placed them in the oven (they look nice!), and I waited for it to get messy. I cooked something super messy and finally needed to clean the liner. It was SO easy; I put it in the sink and used my sink sprayer and everything immediately slid right off the liner. No problem! I have a double oven, so I was glad this pack came with more than one. I have one in each oven and one on standby in case I need it. I know that having a dirty oven isn't the worst thing in the world, but if it matters to you, try these!" — Hpg

The Dark Side Of Marriage: Women's Honest Stories

Marriage is one of those things where you really can't know what it's truly like until you're in it. Every marriage is different with unique challenges, but one thing is for sure: the "perfect" marriage doesn't exist. That's why we asked women in the BuzzFeed Community to candidly tell us the parts of marriage they despise that were maybe a bit unexpected. Here's what they had to say: "Having to pretend to be okay with the income gap in our marriage. I knew I made more coming into the relationship, but I didn't think I was always going to be the one financially responsible." —Anonymous, 39, Boston "I hate how others sometimes react to the fact that I'm married. I don't know why, but it matters so much to some people, it seems personal. When I mention my spouse or having a husband I see relief cross some faces, or sometimes surprise. It's not great." —Anonymous, 40, Massachusetts USA "I did not change my name, but almost everyone assumes I have and addresses me as 'Mrs. Husband's last name.' Even my bank and dentist did this without my consent. It's disrespectful. Even just calling me 'Mrs. My last name is disrespectful; if a man's title doesn't change from being married, neither should mine." —Anonymous, 33, Denver, CO "I'm bisexual, but being married to my husband sometimes feels like it erased that part of my identity. It's not his fault! He's a great ally, he was always and is still accompanying me to rallies and Pride, and is generally a great and supportive person. But sometimes it feels like I didn't only commit to the man I love, but to heteronormative standards as well. It's only in my head, and I hope I'll come to terms with it soon, but right now, I feel like an impostor whenever I think of myself as part of the LGBTQ+ community." —Anonymous, 34, Germany "I hate having to use my brain for the both of us. If I'm in the middle of doing something, he will ask me what I want him to do as if he can't think of something on his own." —Anonymous, 35, CA "I love being married, but you don't get the bliss and ease of selfish alone time. No more watching whatever you want, now it is a trade-off: I get to watch this, and you watch that. No more 'I'll see what I end up eating for dinner,' there needs to be a two (or more) person plan. I really love the occasions when he has to be away overnight because I can suddenly do whatever the hell I want. Even if it's the same as what I would when he's here, I haven't had to think about it or discuss it as much." —Anonymous, 38, London "Having to share my money and snacks." —Anonymous "The wash-rinse-repeat aspect of daily life. I just never expected the boring repetition of little things. For 10, 20, 30 years. I can cite both sides of so many daily conversations." —Anonymous "Being basically ignored by doctors, salespeople, mechanics, etc., when my husband is with me. It's nothing my husband does on purpose, but he has to deflect attention back to me several times before they understand that it's my questions that need answers. And they need to answer them to me." —Anonymous, 52, Texas "I love my marriage. The only thing I'd say I hate about marriage is other people thinking they can have an opinion! We make our life work for us and make choices together, like deciding to be child-free, and a LOT of people have comments about that! We are also very incompatible sleepers, so we sleep in separate beds. It works for us because neither of us is sleep deprived anymore, but wow, do people have something to say about it." —l45a881d97 "Got married when I was 50 for the first time. I gave up so much of my career, where I live, and what my retirement goals were. I feel as if I lost a great deal of myself in marriage. He had an appreciation for who I was the first few years, but no longer." —Anonymous, 65, CO "Loss of identity is huge, but also making plans. I constantly have to wait to see if plans work for my spouse, whether or not they are included in them. No guarantees. Also, time limits on family outings, especially my family. It's a countdown until we are out the door and it takes a lot of fun out of my connecting with my family or friends." —Anonymous, 40, Alberta "We haven't had sex in over three years — I blame the pandemic." —Anonymous, 49, Seattle "Getting on the same page financially is very challenging. It's worth the work to keep trying, but I see how it leads to divorce." —Anonymous, 54 "Ladies, you will be blamed for all your husband's faults. My husband was 47 when we met, but I've been blamed for his untied shoes, his weight, his inability to cook, and his sleep schedule. For men, marriage is a 'get out of jail free card' for accountability. All the blame is on the wife." —melgirl444 "I kinda hate that my husband doesn't want to change. I know, I know, why marry someone and expect them to change? I honestly thought everyone changed as a part of the natural progression of life. New experiences, new viewpoints, knowledge, and wisdom gained, but marriage has proven to me that some people at the core of who they are simply do not change." —bravecoyote103 Are there any you would add? The 22 Coziest Father's Day Gifts For Homebody Dads

Whether it be for Father's Day, a holiday or birthday gift, I am definitely among the many who find it difficult to shop for their dad. However, I find that things get easier when I try to hone in on meaningful gifts that he'll actually enjoy and that are representative of who he is as a person, as opposed to just grabbing a generic 'man gift.'
