Kylie Padilla brings sons to taping: ‘Super grateful'

GMA Network28-05-2025

It was Bring Your Kids to Work Day for Kylie Padilla, who brought her sons Alas and Axl to one of her out-of-town tapings.
In an Instagram Reel, the Kapuso actress said she was 'Getting super busy lately with 'My Father's Wife' taping, so I brought my kids to work."
Kylie shared clips of her sons on a golf cart, enjoying the area's playground, and building forts in a house. They also rode a gondola on a small lake.
'The location was perfect for kids too. They had their fun on campus and I was able to work in peace knowing I would be sleeping next to them after. Super grateful,' the actress added.
Alas and Axl are Kylie's sons with her ex-husband, Aljur Abrenica.
The couple separated in 2021, with Aljur admitting that he cheated on Kylie.
Kylie is now in a relationship with a non-showbiz man, while Aljur is with actress AJ Raval.

Rhian Ramos reveals getting anxiety in playing the role of 'Mitena' in Sang'gre

Rhian Ramos revealed that she got anxious about playing the role of Mitena in "Sang'gre." In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" on Monday, Rhian said she made an extra effort to get to know her character well. "Extra effort talaga into understanding her, especially knowing na she's an evil character," she said. "Kasi ako 'yung tipong tao na naniniwala ko that all people are good. So, kailangan kong mahanap what kind of pain can make someone evil, can change them," Rhian added. In "Sang'gre," Rhian's character as the Ice Queen is one of the main antagonists of the series. Mitena is the twin sister of Cassiopeia, a character played by Solenn Heussaff in the series that aired in 2016. Cassiopeia is the first queen of Lireo. "Sang'gre" is a spinoff of the iconic Kapuso fantaserye "Encantadia." It will introduce the newest keepers of the brilyantes: Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Deia (Angel Guardian), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and Terra (Bianca Umali). Aside from Rhian, "Sang'gre" will feature a new set of characters which include Ysabel Ortega as Armea, the late Ricky Davao as Governor Emil and Sienna Stevens who will take on the role of younger Mitena. "Sang'gre" will premiere on GMA Prime on June 16. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News

Ruru Madrid signs off as Lolong as series wraps up filming: ‘What a journey'

Ruru Madrid signed off as his title character as 'Lolong: Ang Pangil ng Maynila' has wrapped up taping. On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared some snaps taken from the set of 'Lolong' along with a heartfelt reflection on his role. 'Kagabi, natapos na ang huling taping day ng Lolong. Hanggang ngayon, may sepanx pa rin. What a journey,' he wrote. According to Ruru, playing the role of Lolong was never easy because it comes with some sacrifice. 'Dumaan kami sa matitinding pagsubok, lalo na nung hindi ako makagalaw dahil sa injury. Kailangan naming baguhin ang takbo ng kwento. Pero hindi tumigil ang laban. Hindi bumitaw ang bawat isa. Lahat nag-step up, nagkaisa, at piniling lumaban para sa isa't isa,' he said. 'Pinilit kong bumangon at magtrabaho kahit may iniinda, dahil alam kong kailangan nila ako—at kailangan namin ang isa't isa. Ruru expressed his gratitude to everyone who was part of "Lolong," saying that the show taught him invaluable lessons both as an actor and as a person that he will carry with him moving forward. 'I'm beyond grateful na muling bigyang-buhay ang karakter ni Lolong. Isang bihirang pagkakataon na maipagpatuloy ang kwento ng isang karakter na sobra kong minahal. To revisit his story, wear his skin again, and fight his battles—what a blessing,' he said. The Kapuso star also thanked GMA Network for believing in him as well as for the opportunity to bring back Lolong for the second time. 'Sobrang laking bagay nito para sa akin. Hindi ko ito kailanman kakalimutan. Salamat sa lahat ng sumuporta at sumama sa paglalakbay namin,' Ruru wrote. As 'Lolong' comes to an end, Ruru expressed his hope that viewers will stay with them until the final episode, as the show is especially dedicated to them and to every heart that continues to fight. 'Hindi dito nagtatapos ang Lolong—dahil ang tunay na bayani, hindi kailanman nawawala,' he said. In a previous interview, Ruru said that the "Lolong" series gave him courage and changed him not just as an artist but as a human being. The Kapuso Primetime Action hero first played the title character in 2022 when "Lolong" Season 1 premiered. In "Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila," Lolong (Ruru) moves to Manila for a fresh start after losing his powers. There, he encounters action-packed adventures and challenges. The series airs Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras" on GMA Prime. —Jade Veronique Yap/CDC, GMA Integrated News
