Wimbledon's ‘most beautiful debutant' worked as model and delivery driver and was left in tears over her bank balance
The Canadian qualified for the tournament and bagged £66,000 in the process.

Branstine was defeated by world No1 Aryna Sabalenka but she was delighted to make just her second ever Grand Slam appearance.
It has been a difficult journey for the 24-year-old to reach the All England Club, with Branstine revealing she was reduced to tears after realising she only had £19 ($26) left in her bank account.
She told Telegraf.rs: "When you play ITF tournaments and finance your own life as a young athlete, everything is very expensive.
"I live in Southern California, and just filling up the tank was seriously draining my bill.
"I remember one morning, a couple of weeks before I played my first WTA final in Cancun, I looked at my account balance and only had $26.
"I thought about how I'm going to finance myself for the tournament now. I cried. I called my friends, I wasn't allowed to call my parents - if they found out, they would be very angry.
"I just said to myself, 'Don't think too much. Do it.' And so after training I drove around Los Angeles and delivered dinners to people."
Branstine, who has been labelled ' Wimbledon 's most beautiful debutant', funded her tennis career by working as a delivery driver.
She has also worked as a model and boasts a Bachelor's degree in Society, Ethics, and Law with a double minor in Philosophy and Sports Management.
The California resident even assisted a lawyer and attended court, working on cases involving family law.
But modelling is her favourite work outside of tennis, with Branstine admitting she loves being in front of the camera.
She said: "I love being in front of the camera during a shoot.
"It's fun, I love fashion. It's been one of the reasons I've been able to pay some of my trips.
"I didn't want to ask my parents for anything. I wanted everything to come from me and from my tennis.
"I wasn't signed by these agencies because of my tennis, it was for my look.
"Modelling and tennis are weirdly similar - you are an object a lot, and people sometimes forget you're a person too."

Glasspool added: "It wasn't our best stuff today but these rounds are just about getting through them and finding a way and we did that. That's the main thing and I'm pleased we did. We're hoping for it to get naturally better every round which it normally does. "It doesn't come much bigger on the tennis calendar than Wimbledon, especially for players hailing from British shores. With family and friends courtside, Cash admitted he revelled in every second spent under the sun. "We had a packed court at 11am which was great," said Cash. "The sun was out and it was nice to be out there. It helped us a bit today. "We were a bit flat out there at moments and went through adversity and the crowd were very helpful. It gives you a bit of a push and something else to fight for and you want to put on a bit of a show as well." Xu walking on air after advancing to Wimbledon second round
Making their Grand Slam doubles debut after being awarded wild cards, Xu and good friend McDonald made a rousing first impression on the home crowd, defeating Linda Noskova and Rebecca Šramková 6-4 6-7(1) 6-3 to clinch a maiden win in SW19. It was only on Monday that Xu made her Grand Slam singles debut when she took on Emma Raducanu and with the milestones coming thick and fast, Xu is enjoying every moment. "It feels amazing and to do it with Ella as well," said Xu. We're really good friends on and off the court so to get through to the second round and our first Grand Slam wins feels amazing. "We played with each other three years ago and won a tournament there and carried on that winning streak so we get on really well. It was a bit of a last minute pairing and we're glad that it happened. "We were able to stay positive throughout the whole match. We played the right way, aggressively and went after it and that gave us the edge." McDonald added: "We're really happy. We played together a couple of years ago and haven't played since then so it's really nice to get back together on-court. "We compliment each other really well and keep pushing each other in tighter moments and using our set plays and have a really positive energy." Xu and McDonald's next challenge is a meeting with the seeded all-American pair of Caroline Dolehide and Sofia Kenin. Wimbledon is famous for its fervent support of home talent and Xu hopes to use the adoration of the crowd as the launchpad to further success in SW19. "At the moment, we're not feeling too much pressure," said Xu. "We're the young ones. We're the underdogs all the time and it's a good chance to play with that freedom. We've been enjoying every moment and using the crowd to our advantage. "They love a British underdog, a combo like that so it's a really good atmosphere there for us to go out and play." McDonald added: "Considering it's our first Grand Slam doubles debut, there's not much pressure at all because we're just going out there to have fun and to have a swing and you never know what can happen. Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen dies aged 67
Michael Madsen, the US actor known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino 's Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, has died at the age of 67. Madsen was found unresponsive in his home in Malibu, California, on Thursday morning after dying from natural causes, according to authorities. Ron Smith, one of his managers, said Madsen had died of a cardiac arrest. 'In the past two years, Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life,' his managers Smith and Susan Ferris, and publicist Liz Rodriguez, said. They added that he 'was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, who will be missed by many'. Madsen was married three times and had seven children. His sister is the Oscar-nominated actor Virginia Madsen. Madsen was a prolific actor featuring in more than 300 films stretching back to the early 1980s. Born in Chicago in 1957, he got his start working at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, which led to small early roles in 1980s films such as WarGames and The Natural. His global breakthrough came with 1992's Reservoir Dogs, in which he played the sadistic, ear-cutting Mr Blonde, who tortures a captured policeman. Mr Blonde was one of the 400 nominees for the American Film Institute's list of the all-time greatest movie villains. Madsen would go on to win acclaim for his wise-cracking tough guy roles and became a Tarantino regular, appearing in the Kill Bill films and the director's later works The Hateful Eight (2015) and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). He was originally tipped to play John Travolta's role in Tarantino's 1994 cult classic Pulp Fiction, but dropped out to appear in Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp instead – a choice he later said he came to regret. Other notable roles included Thelma and Louise (1991), Free Willy (1993), Die Another Day (2002) and Sin City (2005). Speaking to The Guardian in 2004, Madsen complained of the 'patchiness' of his career, which he attributed to having come too late for the parts he wanted to play. 'Maybe I was just born in the wrong era,' he said. 'I'm a bit of a throwback to the days of black-and-white movies. Those guys back then, they had a certain kind of directness about them. A lot of the screenplays, the plots were very simplistic – they gave rise to a type of anti-hero that maybe I suit better.' In 2012, Madsen appeared in Celebrity Big Brother and in 2013 launched his own brand American Bad Ass chilli sauce.
