Krispy Kreme has announced a new limited-edition Harry Potter-inspired doughnut collection set to launch within days.
Four of the new doughnuts will pay tribute to the Hogwarts houses in author J.K. Rowling's books—Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Another doughnut will be inspired by the Sorting Hat, which determines the houses that each new student is allocated to.
A new latte drink will be based on the Golden Snitch, the winged ball used in the game of Quidditch.
Why It Matters
The new Harry Potter collection comes amid other seasonal promotions —including several pumpkin spice offerings launched earlier this month.
The seasonal promotions come at a time of significant competition in the fast food industry, which faces slim margins and changing consumer habits amid economic uncertainty.

Former WWE Champion Blasts CM Punk During Scathing Rant

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Former WWE star Matt Riddle has taken another dig at CM Punk, and his latest comments criticize the Raw star's current in-ring ability. The former United States Champion has been outspoken about his feelings towards Punk since leaving WWE. Riddle, who was released in September 2023 due to unprofessional conduct, reaffirmed his stance on a new podcast. He doubled down on his claim that his former colleagues find the "Best in the World" difficult to work with. Matt Riddle: "Not Good At Fighting" Speaking on TMZ's Inside The Ring Podcast, Matt Riddle criticized CM Punk's wrestling abilities at the age of 46. He also claimed that he has heard from friends still on the WWE roster that Punk remains a "bitch to work with." "I have good friends on the roster that still say he's a bitch to work with," Riddle said. He did, however, acknowledge Punk's value to the company. "If he didn't generate the amount of money and attention that he does, he wouldn't be there," he admitted. "Kudos to him, the guy packs an arena, he sells tickets, he sells merchandise." LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 19: CM Punk (L) and Paul Heyman look on during Punk's Triple Threat match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 19, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. More Despite acknowledging the recent praise for Punk's matches, including his acclaimed bout with GUNTHER at SummerSlam, Riddle is not impressed. "I just don't think he's, well, good at fighting," he stated. "I think his better days of wrestling are way behind him." WWE History of Animosity This is not the first time Matt Riddle has taken a shot at CM Punk. The one-sided beef dates back years, with Riddle frequently calling out Punk for a potential MMA or wrestling match, which Punk has consistently ignored. When Punk made his shocking return to WWE in November 2023, Riddle took to social media to mock his 0-2 UFC record. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match A Controversial WWE Career Riddle's critique of another star's professionalism is ironic given the circumstances of his own WWE career. He was one of the most popular stars on the roster during his tag team run with Randy Orton as RK-Bro. However, his tenure was marked by multiple wellness policy violations and a series of public, unprofessional incidents. The final straw was a controversial incident at JFK Airport in 2023, which led to his release from the company. While he was a talented performer, his own actions ultimately cost him his spot as a top star in WWE. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

Woman Tends to Sick Dog—Second Pet Seizes Chance: 'Organized Crime'

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A pet parent tending to a sick dog learned the hard way that she must have eyes in the back of her head in a multi-animal household. TikTok user @yama_rama_lama's daughter began frosting a cake when she started hearing the dog getting sick. She ran outside with the tube of frosting in her hand to check on her dog, leaving the cake unattended. That's when the family's black Labrador seized his opportunity. The August 11 TikTok video, which reached over 327,200 views as of Friday, shows the dog making sure the coast was clear before hopping his front paws onto the counter, right next to the prize. His eyes couldn't believe this treat had been left alone. Not wanting to waste another second, he dove in, slobbering up as much as he could. Newsweek reached out to @yama_rama_lama via TikTok for comment. Satisfied after only a few bites, he stopped and got off the counter. This left TikTok viewers applauding him for his thoughtfulness in saving cake for the rest of the family. "He only took a small bite. What a gentleman," a commenter said, while a second person pointed out, "The face he stopped himself and left is huge. Good for him." A third person wrote: "His face the whole time is like, 'I know this is wrong but this smells SOOOOO GOOD so I must.'" However, the owner assured everyone the dog did not stop because he knew when he reached his treat limit. He only stopped because someone started walking toward him. And if not, the icing evidence on his face and video proof would've been what did him in. She added cake to the "long list of things he's gotten in trouble" for eating without permission. Other people suspected the two dogs worked together to set up the family, calling it "organized crime." They joked that the sick dog only went outside to throw up to draw attention away from the other canine. Planned or not, it worked. The whole family had been tricked, as no one thought for a moment what the Labrador might be getting into. From that point on, this pet parent needs to keep her head on a swivel.
