
Sharjah Equestrian club wins Diba Al Hisn top prize
The event, held on Saturday evening at the club's headquarters, welcomed a number of prominent sporting and cultural figures. Among them were Abdullah Mohammed Mleih, Member of the Sharjah Sports Council; Mohammed Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chairman of Diba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club; Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al Tarban Al Hammoudi, Chairman of Diba Al Hisn Football Club; and Mohammed Ali Al Dhuhouri, Head of the Community Culture Committee.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur'an. The competition was then officially launched, quickly turning into a platform for purposeful and spirited rivalry among the participating teams.
Sharjah team takes the lead
The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club team performed outstandingly throughout the competition, securing first place and earning the championship trophy along with a well-deserved cash prize. Diba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club claimed second place, followed by Sharjah Cultural Chess Club in third, and Al Hamriyah Club in fourth.

This was credited to the efforts of Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Head of Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence and Deputy Head of the Cultural Committee, and Mohammed Rashid Rashoud, member of the Cultural Committee. This event is set to take place in Khorfakkan, Sharjah, from December 11-14, 2025. The Badminton World Federation has announced that Sharjah will host the first-ever outdoor badminton championship, organised by the UAE Badminton Federation in collaboration with the Sharjah Sports Council. The meeting was led by Abdulmalik Mohammed Jani, Chairman of the Organising Committee, in the presence of Noura Hassan Al Jasmi, the committee's Vice Chairman, and several other committee chairs who are responsible for various aspects of organising the tournament.
