Nebraska getting a return visit from top linebacker target
Miami Hurricanes four-star commit Jordan Campbell will visit Nebraska the weekend of June 13-15. This will be an official visit, as the program tries to close the deal on one of their priority linebacker targets.
Campbell is the 135th overall player nationally in the 2026 class, the eighth overall player in the state, and the 15th overall player at his position per On3 rankings. He committed to Miami on November 21, 2023.
Campbell has been to Nebraska numerous times over the last couple of years. He last took an unofficial visit to Lincoln on April 26, and took an unofficial visit before that on February 1 for the program's Junior Day
The linebacker recorded 70 tackles and six sacks last season for Carol City High School, according to statistics from Maxpreps.com.
According to the On3 recruiting rankings, the 2026 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 48th nationally and 16th in the Big Ten.
Campbell is an electric defensive playmaker who would immediately bolster an already-strong linebacker group. Nothing is certain in recruiting, but getting Campbell to Lincoln for another visit is certainly a positive sign.

T.J. Watt's potential fines for skipping Steelers mandatory minicamp revealed

T.J. Watt's potential fines for skipping Steelers mandatory minicamp revealed T.J. Watt's contract dispute has led him to no-show Steelers mandatory minicamp — and hefty fines could be the price to pay. Insider Adam Schefter revealed that players on veteran deals could be subjected to up to $100,000 in fines for missing mandatory minicamp — and here is what the Steelers star defender could face per day: Day 1: $17,462 Day 2: $34,925 Day 3: $52,381 Total: $104,768 It remains to be seen if the Steelers will impose the fines, but if Watt's rumored $41 million per year asking price is to be believed, $100K would mean little in the long run. Watt isn't the only edge defender seeking a new contract, as Bengals star DE Trey Hendrickson also skipped mandatory minicamp amid extension talks. While Watt remains absent from mandatory minicamp, all eyes will turn to OLBs Alex Highsmith, Nick Herbig, and rookie Jack Sawyer this offseason. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin breaks his silence on T.J. Watt holdout amid minicamp absence

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin breaks his silence on T.J. Watt holdout amid minicamp absence Day 1 of Steelers mandatory minicamp has come and gone — and T.J. Watt was nowhere to be found. The Steelers star defender is likely channeling the energy of his former hold-in that resulted in a major payday just days before the start of the 2021 regular season — and HC Mike Tomlin wasted little time addressing the elephant in the room. Regarding Watt's mandatory minicamp absence, Tomlin made it clear he was neither shocked nor worried about Watt's future in the Steel City (courtesy of Teresa Varley, "Certainly, we'd like him to be here, but certainly not surprised by where we are," said Tomlin. "We've expressed a desire to get the business done. He has as well. So, we'll continue to work. We've been here before." Even at 30 years old, Watt remains the unquestioned life force of the Steelers defense — a pass-rush monster designed to create havoc in opposing backfields that deserves to get paid sooner than later. Ohio State Newly Predicted to Land Coveted Star

Ohio State Newly Predicted to Land Coveted Star originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Ohio State Buckeyes were previously predicted to make a big splash along the defensive line on the recruiting trail. On Tuesday, On3's Steve Wiltfong still projected that to happen. Advertisement Fellow On3's Chad Simmons also agreed. The official On3 Recruiting X account posted Tuesday that the latest predictions from both Wiltfong and Simmons have the Buckeyes landing a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Khary Wilder. "On3's Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons have logged expert predictions for Ohio State to land four-star DL Khary Wilder," wrote the account. That's the same prediction Wiltfong at the beginning of June. "Last week I wrote that I liked where Ohio State stood with touted defensive lineman Khary Wilder and have logged that On3 RPM as well," wrote Wiltfong. On Sunday, Ohio State received a commitment from four-star running back Favour Akih. Advertisement In addition to where they are with Wilder, Wiltfong also sees the Buckeyes in a great spot to land four-star offensive lineman Drew Evers. Wilder is the No. 23 edge rusher and No. 24 California prospect in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Based on the same ratings, Wilder is also a top 250 recruit, coming in at No. 242 overall. The Buckeyes have the fourth-rated recruiting class according to 247Sports. But Ohio State has yet to land a commitment from an edge rusher. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds, Wilder will play his senior year of high school at Junipero Serra in Gardena, California.
