Nebraska getting a return visit from top linebacker target

Nebraska getting a return visit from top linebacker target Miami Hurricanes four-star commit Jordan Campbell will visit Nebraska the weekend of June 13-15. This will be an official visit, as the program tries to close the deal on one of their priority linebacker targets. Campbell is the 135th overall player nationally in the 2026 class, the eighth overall player in the state, and the 15th overall player at his position per On3 rankings. He committed to Miami on November 21, 2023. Campbell has been to Nebraska numerous times over the last couple of years. He last took an unofficial visit to Lincoln on April 26, and took an unofficial visit before that on February 1 for the program's Junior Day The linebacker recorded 70 tackles and six sacks last season for Carol City High School, according to statistics from According to the On3 recruiting rankings, the 2026 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 48th nationally and 16th in the Big Ten. Campbell is an electric defensive playmaker who would immediately bolster an already-strong linebacker group. Nothing is certain in recruiting, but getting Campbell to Lincoln for another visit is certainly a positive sign. Key defensive line target schedules official visit with FSU

Key defensive line target schedules official visit with FSU The FSU Seminoles have received some great news in their efforts to land an elite defensive lineman. Four-star defensive tackle James Johnson, a Miami native, has locked in an official visit with the Seminoles for June 15, according to Zach Blostein of Noles247. His last visit to Tallahassee was in January, when he attended a Junior Day event. Johnson is the No. 71 overall player and No. 8 defensive lineman in the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder is also the No. 10 player from Florida. He had an extremely productive junior season for North Fort Myers High School. In nine games, Johnson made 60 tackles, 29.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, and recovered two fumbles. The Seminoles are facing some steep competition for Johnson, who is the top defensive lineman in the state of Florida. He is also set to take official visits to see the Illinois Fighting Illini, Penn State Nittany Lions, Florida Gators, Miami Hurricanes, Georgia Bulldogs, and Syracuse Orange. FSU has nine players committed in its 2026 recruiting class, eight of whom are from Florida. However, none of them play along the defensive line and Johnson would become their highest-ranked commit, were he to pick the Seminoles. Clemson Lands Top In-State Safety for Dabo Swinney's Top 5 2026 Class

Clemson has added a crucial piece to its defensive future. Four-star safety Kentavion Anderson of Dorman High School in Roebuck, South Carolina, has committed to the Tigers, giving Dabo Swinney's staff a significant in-state recruiting win over rival South Carolina. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Anderson chose Clemson over a deep list of national suitors that included Michigan, Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Florida, and others. But for months, the battle was seen as a Palmetto State showdown between Clemson and USC—and the Tigers came out on top. Advertisement Anderson made his decision public Friday, citing Clemson's academic support and the potential for early playing time as major factors in his choice. 'It was the academics and the playing time as a freshman,' Anderson said. Clemson's spring visit strategy may have sealed the deal. Anderson attended the Tigers' Elite Retreat on March 8 and was on campus earlier in January for Junior Day. In contrast, while he also visited South Carolina in January and stayed in contact with secondary coach Torrian Gray, he never made a return trip to Columbia this spring due to his busy 7-on-7 schedule. 'They showed me how some of their best guys played around at several positions.' Advertisement Anderson's pledge could have a ripple effect for Clemson, not just because of the in-state optics, but because of his potential fit in the Tigers' secondary. He now joins fellow four-star defensive back Kaden Gebardt in the 2026 class, forming a promising duo with complementary skill sets. Gebardt has been vocal on social media, campaigning for Anderson's commitment—and now the two will share a defensive backfield in Death Valley. By locking down a top-10 in-state prospect and fending off the Gamecocks, Clemson regains traction within South Carolina's borders. It's a symbolic and strategic win for the Tigers, who are looking to rebuild their defensive identity with versatile, instinctual playmakers like Anderson. Anderson plans to take only one official visit—and it'll be to Clemson, the school he now plans to call home. Washington Football's top 2026 WR target to return to campus for an unofficial visit

Washington Football's top 2026 WR target to return to campus for an unofficial visit Four-star wide receiver Mason James is the top wide receiver on the Washington Huskies' board in the 2026 class. On Thursday afternoon, the product of Norman North High School in Oklahoma, who is ranked as the No. 25 wide receiver and No. 174 overall player in the class, announced he'd be returning to Seattle over the weekend for an unofficial visit to take in one of Jedd Fisch's spring practices. For James, who told On3's Chad Simmons his decision could come "sooner rather than later," his second trip to Seattle in as many months is a good sign for where wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings and the Huskies sit in his recruitment. James was on campus for Washington's Junior Day weekend in early March, and is set to return on an official visit on June 6. Thanks to a strong push, led by Cummings and Fisch, the Huskies appear to be among the leaders to secure his services. Although his hometown Oklahoma Sooners seem to be at the head of the pack, where he's set to take an official visit on June 20, and the Texas Longhorns, who he'll visit on June 13, have made up a lot of ground, the Huskies have found a way to make an impression on the 5-foot-11, 170-pound speedster. "Oh man, it was a great visit," James told Scott Eklund of his trip in March. "I think the biggest thing for me was how the entire staff was involved with being with me and my family and showing me how much they valued me and prioritized me." Since his arrival, the Huskies have been looking to expand their recruiting footprint with a blue-chip pass catcher from outside the West Coast. After striking out on Donovan Olugbode and Andrew Marsh in the 2025 cycle, James would be a strong win for the coaching staff if Cummings can secure his commitment.
