Over 40 pairs of sunglasses worth over $19K stolen from Boston store
Boston police are asking for the public's help to identify a group of people in connection with the theft of 41 pairs of sunglasses collectively worth $19,750.
The theft happened at around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of 335 Newbury St., police said in a short statement.
This address is the location of a Sunglass Hut.
The Boston Police Department is investigating the theft and asks that anyone with information about the incident call detectives at 617-343-5619.
Anyone who wants to submit a tip anonymously can do so through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS or text 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).

Boston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of pulling out a knife and threatening a woman with it at a laundromat in Dorchester on June 3. Person of interest in Inkster homicide case may have been found in Florida, police say
Police are pursuing a lead for the location of a person of interest in a 2023 homicide case out of Inkster, Michigan. The Inkster Police Department reported Tuesday they are working with detectives from the Fort Myers Police Department in Florida to obtain DNA samples from the man in question. Once obtained, the evidence will be sent to a forensic laboratory for comparison and analysis. If the DNA is a match to the Michigan case under review, Inkster will request an extradition. The victim of the Inkster homicide was a 34-year-old man whose body was found in a garage. "We are committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that justice is served and that those responsible are held accountable," Police Chief Taika Jenkins said. Man knocked out in random beating at The Forks Market in Winnipeg
Winnipeg police have released a photo of a man wanted in connection with a random assault at The Forks that left another man unconscious. Around 11:15 p.m. on June 6, a 30-year-old man was inside The Forks Market when he was assaulted and knocked to the ground, then beaten even after he lost consciousness, police said in a news release on Tuesday. The attacker took an item from the victim before walking away. The victim was sent to hospital by ambulance in stable condition. Police believe the attacker later threw the stolen item at a woman walking a dog near the river path. Investigators are hoping to locate and speak to the woman, as she may have information that could help them. The attacker was last seen in the area of Bonnycastle Park, near Assiniboine Avenue and Garry Street. He is described as 25-35 years old with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, a black New York Yankees baseball cap and black shoes. Anyone with information about that man or anyone who was at The Forks and may have witnessed the assault is asked to call the police service's major crimes unit at 204-986-6219.
