STAR TREK Actor Cast in VISION QUEST Series as Character Last Seen in the MCU in AVENGERS

Geek Tyrant4 days ago
Marvel's Vision Quest series is headed our way next year, and casting is underway ahead of the show's shooting schedule. The series is being showrun by Star Trek: Picard writer/producer Terry Matalas, who won't be the only Trek alum on set.
The studio revealed that Orla Brady, who plays the dual role of housekeeper Laris and supervisor Tallinn in Picard , has now been confirmed to be included in Vision Quest's cast.
Collider reports that at Star Trek Las Vegas this month, Matalas confirmed that Brady would be portraying the artificial intelligence character FRIDAY in Vision Quest .
Brady joins a number of other actors playing AIso in the upcoming series, including James Spader, making his return after 11 years as Ultron; T'Nia Miller, who will debut as Jocasta; and Emily Hampshire, who takes on the role of EDITH, first seen in 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home . FRIDAY, Tony Stark's replacement for JARVIS, was voiced by Kerry Condon between Avengers: Age of Ultron and Endgame , but we haven't heard from the character since.
It's too bad that Condon couldn't return to the role for whatever reason, but Brady is a great choice for the role. Stay tuned for updates on Vision Quest , which is currently in production, and it set to hit Disney+ sometime next year.

Jungle Cruise 2: Dwayne Johnson's Disney Sequel Gets Exciting Update

Fans of Disney's got an exciting update today as a new report shed light on the Jungle Cruise 2 movie. What is the latest Jungle Cruise 2 movie update? According to a new update from insider Daniel Richtman, Dwayne Johnson will be returning for the sequel, which is currently in the works at Disney. Matthew Robinson (Love and Monsters) is reportedly handling the script for the film. Richtman didn't have any other info on the movie, so it's unclear whether or not Emily Blunt, who co-starred alongside Johnson, is also confirmed to return. Previous reports on the film did note that Blunt would also be reprising her role as well, however. Originally released in 2021, Jungle Cruise is based on the legendary Disney theme park attraction of the same name. The film starred Johnson, Blunt, Édgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti and was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The film followed the story of the captain of a small riverboat who helps a scientist and her brother journey through the jungle to look for the Tree of life. Jungle Cruise released simultaneously in theaters and digitally due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and received mostly mixed reviews. In total, the film earned $220.9 million globally against a reported budget of $200 million, but also reportedly made close to $100 million on Disney+'s Premier Access service.
