FORECAST: Storms move in from the west around 10 PM

FORECAST:
It has been a busy afternoon with several rounds of showers and storms.
The strongest came through around 5 PM and shut down the Lovin' Life Music Fest and caused major issues at the airport.
We are going to see a break in the rain for a few hours until the third and final round come through late tonight between 10 PM to 3 AM.
These may be able to produce gusty winds and heavy rain but the overall severe threat is lower.
Once this line passes, we'll start to dry things out for our Sunday as highs climb into the upper 70s once again.

FORECAST: Rainy start to the day

To stay on top of changing weather conditions, be sure to download our free WSOC-TV weather app. FORECAST: It's a rainy start to the day with steady showers moving in. These will last through about midday before drying this afternoon. Nothing too heavy is expected, but it does make for a messy day. Highs get trimmed back to the mid 70s this afternoon with limited sunshine. Then we deal with the incoming heat and humidity for the weekend. Highs return to near 90 on Friday with plenty of steam to make it feel hotter. Low risk for a brief storm in the afternoon. A slightly better chance for afternoon storms arrives on Saturday as we remain quite hot and humid. It will start moving in from the south as a weak storm moves up the coast. The top threat will be heavy downpours, which will likely have a big impact on the drive into work tomorrow morning. The rain will slowly move on after that, but the clouds and downpours will keep temperatures cool in the upper 70s.
