I love glamming up my girl for nursery, trolls tell me her outfit is totally inappropriate but I don't see the issue

The mum explained her daughter 'loves the nail shop' NO KIDDING I love glamming up my girl for nursery, trolls tell me her outfit is totally inappropriate but I don't see the issue SENDING your little one for their first day at the nursery or school is a huge milestone for millions of parents. But now one mum has come under fire after sharing the outfit her daughter was wearing ahead of the big day. 2 The mum sparked fury after she showed off her daughter's outfit for the first day of nursery Credit: TikTok/@kytoyouu 2 The little girl, who is between the ages of four and five, was also rocking a brand new mani covered in gems Credit: TikTok/@kytoyouu The mother, only known as @kytoyouu, took to TikTok to share the proud moment - however, the video quickly sparked a fierce reaction. In the now-viral video, the little girl, who is between the ages of four and five, could be seen showing off her freshly-done manicure. The glam mani included French tips, as well as a huge variety of gems glued on top of the nails. All chuffed with her brand new manicure, the girl then struck her best poses, as she modelled her clothes. Giving the viewers an adorable spin, the excited child showed off her baby blue button-up shirt which was teamed up with beige flares. Matching the flares was also a mega bow tie, as well as two scrunchies on her wrist. ''Kindergarten, please be kind to my baby,'' the mum said in the video. But while the little girl looked adorable, the clip soon went viral for all the wrong reasons, amassing more than 2.8million views. As over 10,000 people flooded to comments to share their thoughts, critics slammed the mother and dubbed the outfit 'inappropriate'. One viewer said: ''dress her appropriately to her age.. it's not that difficult.'' Mums slam Molly-Mae after she refuses to discipline Bambi for biting a child & accuse her of using toddler as 'ragebait' Someone else agreed, writing: ''🤨 Acrylics or even press ons in kindergarten is crazy. ''Just messing up that baby nail beds & they not even fully developed. ''Kids play & are rough so I hope she don't hit them nails on something.'' What age can you take kid to get their nails done? MUMS have sparked controversy after allowing their kids to get acrylic nails. But just how old do they have to be to be allowed to get them done legally. According to the National Occupational Standards, anyone under the age of 16 has to be accompanied by an adult. They also need written consent from a parents or guardian. It's also a good idea to check that the salon you're planning to go to - just to ask if they offer services to children. A horrified social media user said: ''Can we PLEASE let kids be KIDS.'' ''She's going to school not the club,'' another critic mum-shamed the TikToker. Luckily for the mum - who said her daughter ''loves the nail shop'' - there were also a few of those who didn't see an issue with the outfit. A fellow mum wrote: ''Let a girl be a girl!! My daughter is 7 and I take her get her nails done! Anything that makes her happy!'' ''y'all act like she got stilletto nails and heels on, girl please,'' someone else hit back at the harsh critics.

Love Islander ‘hard launches new girlfriend' on TikTok after hooking up on rival show – but fans slam ‘showmance'

ALL IT SEEMS? Love Islander 'hard launches new girlfriend' on TikTok after hooking up on rival show – but fans slam 'showmance' LOVE Island star Scott van der Sluis has fans convinced he's got a new girlfriend after another reality show stint – despite walking off from her on screen. The Welsh reality star has been keeping himself busy with a string of dating shows across the years, with the latest being Netflix's Perfect Match. 5 Scott and Juliette looked close as they danced together for a TikTok 5 The pair sparked a connection on Perfect Match – but their romance soon collapsed Advertisement 5 Despite ending the show on a bad note, the pair not look extremely close The series – which puts former reality stars into a house to compete in challenges and spark romantic connections with each other – saw Scott form a connection with Siesta Key's Juliette Porter, going on dates together and heavily flirting. However, their romance spectacularly blew up when Love Island USA's Carrington Rodriguez told him she had slated their connection to him, saying Scott was "too immature" for her. Rather than confront her, Scott and Carrington opted to immediately walk off the show together – in the process ensuring Juliette would be axed from the show as well, as you can only remain in the house if you're in a couple. Advertisement However, nearly a year after the show was filmed, it seems the pair have healed their connection, performing a TikTok together on Juliette's socials. Surrounded by other members of the Perfect Match cast, including Carrington, the duo were seen passionately lipsyncing to Beyoncé's Tyrant to each other outside a bar. With Juliette having a drink in her hand, she at one point pulls Scott's head to her chest, and he responds by grabbing her face, seemingly trying to pull in for a kiss she pulls away from. Although the TikTok was posted five days before the finale – which saw their dramatic fallout – fans are unconvinced that they're now a couple. Advertisement "after watching the finale and now seeing this, i'm just laughing so hard," wrote one. "Scott will do anything for attention," wrote a second, while a third said: "You deserve each other and I mean that in the worst way possible." However others thought they were "made to be a couple", with one noting: "They have to be dating as he's had a style upgrade". Love Island fans 'work out' show star is 'in talks for The Traitors series 3' after he accidentally drops massive clue "Please, I need them together," added a third. Scott is yet to confirm any new romance since the end of Perfect Match, which ended last week. Advertisement However, he has announced that he's "retiring" from dating shows after appearing on Love Island, Love Island USA, Love Island Games and now Perfect Match. Celebrating the finale, he wrote on Instagram: "Anywaysss after 4 TV shows, trips to Fiji, Mallorca and Mexico, and 2 years of incredible memories, it's finally time to say SCOTTISHA IS RETIRED. "Peace out people, hope you all enjoyed the journey. ✌️" 5 Their Perfect Match romance ended when Juliette said Scott was immature 5 Scott has revealed he is now 'retired' from reality dating shows

‘Skibidi', ‘delulu' and ‘tradwife' among words added to Cambridge Dictionary

'Skibidi', 'tradwife' and 'delulu' are among the new words to have made this year's Cambridge Dictionary in a selection that confirms the increasing influence of the TikTok generation on the English language. For those hoping that such neologisms would be a passing internet craze, the compilers of the dictionary say they are here to stay. 'Internet culture is changing the English language and the effect is fascinating to observe and capture in the dictionary,' said its lexical programme manager, Colin McIntosh. 'It's not every day you get to see words like 'skibidi' and 'delulu' make their way in to the Cambridge Dictionary. We only add words where we think they'll have staying power.' Older generations and those not on TikTok will have to just get used to words such as skibidi. Children often use it to add emphasis to statements. It became popular thanks to Skibidi Toilet – a viral animated video that began on YouTube featuring human heads protruding from lavatories. The Cambridge Dictionary defines skibidi as 'a word that can have different meanings such as 'cool' or 'bad', or can be used with no real meaning as a joke; an example of its use is: 'What the skibidi are you doing?'' People older than generation Alpha tend to greet the use of the word with despair. The US writer and artist Lee Escobedo wrote in the Guardian earlier this year: 'Skibidi brainrot encapsulates a generation fluent in irony but starved for meaning. This kind of hyper-chaotic media serves as both entertainment and an ambient worldview for young men raised online. Their minds normalise prank-as-expression.' The tradwife phenomenon, which dates to a least 2020, has also been widely criticised. It refers to socially conservative influencers who celebrate looking after their husbands, children and homes and post about it on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The dictionary definition says a tradwife is 'especially one who posts on social media'. [ Here is an experiment. If you know a child under 14, ask them if they know what skibidi toilet is Opens in new window ] Delulu, an abbreviation of delusional, is less controversial, but has become associated with a post-truth world where personal beliefs are more important than reality. Its dictionary entry defines it as 'believing things that are not real or true, usually because you choose to'. Delulu emerged more than 10 years ago as an insult directed at obsessive K-pop fans to question their belief that they would date their idols. The term 'delulu is the solulu' for manifesting your wishes has been viewed billions of times on TikTok. The phrase 'delulu with no solulu' was used earlier this year by Australia's prime minister, Anthony Albanese, to attack his opponents in parliament. 'Broligarchy', a term for the tech industry leaders on whose platforms many of these new words are spreading, also makes it in to the dictionary. '' Merging 'bro' and 'oligarchy', it refers to 'a small group of men, especially men owning or involved in a technology business, who are extremely rich and powerful, and who have or want political influence,' says the dictionary. Other new entries in the dictionary include 'mouse jiggler', a post-pandemic device or piece of software used to make it seem as though you are working when you are not. 'Work spouse', meanwhile, is a phrase for workplace relationships where two people help and trust each other, according to the dictionary.
