Christine McGuinness 'scared to date' after Paddy split as she walks out of Celebs Go Dating mixer

Daily Mirror4 days ago
Christine McGuiness has admitted that the thought of going on a date "scares her" as she walked out of her first Celebs Go Dating mixer due to being overwhelmed during Monday's episode.
Christine McGuinness says the thought of going on a date 'scares me so much' after splitting from Paddy McGuinnes s, as she took to the screen tonight for the new series of Celebs Go Dating but couldn't face the show's first task.

The mum-of-three admitted earlier this year that she had pulled out of the show shortly after filming began, with the first episode already showing her getting some cold feet.

'I got diagnosed with autism six years ago, it affects me a lot with socialising, it takes me a while to feel relaxed and be open to getting to know someone. The thought of going on a date scares me so much, it's all brand new for me but I'm in the best place for it,' Christine, 37, said just minutes into the show, before she was seen heading into a dating mixer with singles and fellow celebrities Kerry Katona, S Club 7's Jon Lee, Love Island star Olivia Hawkins and Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell. The episode comes as Kerry Katona has revealed her devastating her health condition after split from ex-fiancé.

Christine, who describes her sexuality as 'free spirited' was seen getting to know both men and women during the mixer, but quickly found herself 'freaked out'.
'Tonight, you'll be making your first choices on your dates,' said the show's relationship expert Paul C. Brunson as he arrived to the mixer with fellow experts Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara. 'But there's a catch. Your first date will be in a different country, in the beautiful Spanish island of Ibiza,' continued Paul, as the camera panned to a worried-looking Christine.

The thought of bringing someone abroad quickly had Christine in a spin, as she said to the camera, 'How can I go abroad with someone that I don't even know? This is not normal.'
Pulling Kerry aside to confide in her, Christine said, 'I need a minute, I can go for a minute, can't I?' as they headed for the stairs leading outside. 'I need a minute. I don't want to just take someone away,' admitted Christine, as Kerry replied, 'It's a lot, isn't it?'
Christine split from TV presenter Paddy, 51, in 2022 after 11 years of marriage, with the couple yet to share what led to the divorce. However, they remain living together in their Cheshire home for the sake of their three children; 12-year-old twins Leo and Penelope and youngest Felicity, 8, who have all been diagnosed with autism.
'We both know that we can date and we're allowed to. We're adults and we're single, so we can, but we also know that we don't need to overshare any information about anything because we are still exes and we are still living in the same house,' she said earlier this year of her relationship with Paddy.

A clearly uncomfortable Norrie then said: "I'm not, no. You can ask her. I don't know." Addressing that weird exchange, Raducanu laughed before saying: "That was terrible, terrible." 6 Cameron Norrie was understandably baffled by the question The British No1 is ranked No39 in the world and was narrowly beaten by Aryna Sabalenka in round two of Cincinnatti earlier this week. Andrada arrived as a Casa Amor beauty on day 28, long after Remell was dumped from the show after entering on day three as a bombshell. But it looks like there might be some sparks flying between the pair outside the villa. A source told The Sun: "They've been growing close after the villa, chatting a lot and just seeing if there is something there. "They looked pretty cosy at the reunion last night and there is definitely a spark there, but they are taking it slow." The source added: "Andrada has made it clear she is interesting in returning to the villa for All Stars next year, so it may be a case of 'right guy, wrong time'. "Both of them are pretty chill though and they are just going to take their time and see how things pan out." The Sun has contacted reps for Remell and Andrada for comment. They each shared a video to their Instagram stories of them doing shots at the party and smiling widely at each other. Not long after leaving the villa, Remell said he was dating Poppy Harrison after getting together during the show, but she has not appeared on his social media since July. Love Island fans beg bosses to sign bombshell to All Stars after savage attack on ex in final As for Andrada, she has her eyes set on getting a spot in next year's Love Island: All Stars series. Love Island fans flooded X, formerly Twitter, saying she should be on All Stars next year, which has been confirmed for a season three. One said on her recent TikTok video: "Andrada Pop for All Stars 2026!' Andrada, who is a nail technician, personal trainer, and model, agreed with her fans. She told The Sun she'd 'absolutely' do All Stars, adding: 'I would definitely do it! I didn't find love this time round so would definitely be up for giving it another go.'

Love Island's Blu Chegini says he's 'not a women hater' as he teases All Stars return

Blu Chegini has responded to backlash following his time on the latest series of Love Island as it hasn't stopped him from wanting to return for the All Stars series Love Island star Blu Chegini has insisted he is not a "woman hater" as he hits back at claims from his time in the villa. During his time on the ITV2 dating show, he ruffled feathers with his behaviour. ‌ He turned up as an original star on the latest series and was initially coupled up with Alima. The pair quickly established they were in a friendship couple, and Blu made a beeline for Shakira, even sharing a kiss in the hideaway. ‌ However, days into the series, he was dumped in dramatic scenes when he had to go head-to-head with Shea. It comes after one huge TV star looks completely unrecognisable as she reveals latest facelift ‌ READ MORE: Lucy Mecklenburgh says she sleeps in separate bed to Ryan as she fumes over pregnancy READ MORE: Andy Carroll 'splits from Lou Teasdale due to her demands' weeks after public row Blu's Love Island journey wasn't over, though, as he strolled back into the villa last month. He attracted backlash during his time on the show due to how he acted towards Alima. Having said he wasn't interested in her because she was not his "type," Blu was labelled dismissive and even racist by some viewers. He later addressed the claims, stating he didn't have a type and his comment was misinterpreted. Now, Blu has hit back again as he said: 'I am not a women hater I was paired up with Alima I didn't see a connection with her I'm now being called a racist because she is a a black girl. He added: "I got back lash for saying Alima wasn't my type, I wasn't her type either. She didn't get backlash." Blu continued: " Maya Jama was cold towards me because I was opinionated or maybe the whole Alima controversy has turned her off me. "I am now working on communication, personal development. I was angry in the show, I struggle with English as I was schooled in Spain." Blu went on to insist: "I love women, I have respect for women. I couldn't play the villain card, it's not in my nature. ‌ "If I could have chosen other girls in the first four days it would have been Meg, Megan or Shakira." Speaking of the other girls to Simon Gross on Instagram live, he explained: "I don't have a connection with Helena. "Gabby is my type. We might go on a date." Blu explained that he wouldn't say no to appearing on Love Island All Stars as previous contestants head to the South African villa for a second chance at finding love. "I would do All Stars if I was still single but it be my third or fourth time. I can't do what Casey [O'Gorman] did. We will see." Blu said of the Islanders' decision at the time of his dumping: "We asked them for their point of view as we were both really stubborn in that situation. We weren't going to budge, so we had to get them to make the decision. "I felt like I had a stronger bond with everyone in there, obviously, I'd been there a bit longer. I was constantly trying to make a connection and exploring everyone. I was making moves as quickly as I could, as opposed to Shea, who was a bit more laid back. "Everyone had their own thoughts. But listen, someone's got to go at the end of the day. The way it went was better than I thought it would have gone; I had some nice things said about me, and that meant a lot to me."
