SNL comedian Michael Che apologises to Scarlett Johansson for crude vagina joke as she gets payback
Scarlett Johansson and her husband, Colin Jost, got revenge against Michael Che on Saturday Night Live after he compared her vagina to roast beef last December.
During the comedians' 'Weekend Update' segment, Jost and Che swapped jokes they wrote for one another.
'Before I tell another joke, I wanna take this opportunity to apologise to someone I hurt,' the Top Five actor, 41, said, prompting the Black Widow actress, 40, to appear onstage.
'Last time we did joke swaps, I made Colin do some tasteless jokes, comparing your vagina to Costco roast beef,' Che continued.
Johansson sarcastically replied: 'Yes, I remember that.'
The That Damn Michael Che star then said, per the joke written for him by his SNL co-star, 'I was just lashing out because I'm jealous.
'I've never seen a human vagina. Notice I said human, because I once spent a summer on a farm.'
Jost, 42, then made Che read jokes about him not being able to take his hoodie off during sex because he has 'more nipples than a pregnant dog.'
Johansson added, 'Yes, I have heard that about you.'
Last December, Che made Jost read a vulgar joke about his wife's post-partum lady parts when they swapped quips during their weekly sketch comedy segment.
'I want to dedicate this next joke to my boo, Scarlett Johansson,' the comedian hesitantly said, as the camera cut to the Marvel star, who was watching from backstage.
'Costco has removed their roast beef sandwich from its menu, but I ain't tripping. I be eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid … Nah, nah, I just playin' baby. You know I don't go downtown! Shiz! That's gay as hell!' he added.
Johansson's mouth dropped open while listening to her husband's lines.
The following month, the Pop Culture Jeopardy! host said the Avengers: Endgame actress was 'obviously surprised' when she heard their quips.
'I'm in trouble, I think, with a lot of people,' he said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January.
'Scarlett was genuinely so shocked,' he shared, adding that the SNL team gave her a heads-up.
'They were like, 'Hey, would you be OK if Michael [Che] made a little, like, kind of vagina joke at some point?'' he recalled.
'She was like, 'Sure, you know, whatever, I'm open to it.''
However, Jost confessed he 'didn't know where it was going, and then the graphic came up for Arby's.'
Jost and Johansson met on the set of SNL when the actress hosted an episode in 2017. They tied the knot three years later.
They are parents to three-year-old son Cosmo, whom they welcomed in August 2021.
The Lucy star is also a mum to daughter Rose, 10, whom she shares with ex-husband and French journalist Romain Dauriac.

It's the kind of opening to a series that immediately prompts questions about fault and blame, but Little Fires Everywhere is much more than a search for answers. Instead, every piece of the story becomes fuel to a blaze that was burning away quietly in the lives of those affected long before it was discovered. What it has achieved, however, far surpassed expectations, gaining five primetime Emmy nominations and asserting itself as one of the most compelling dramas of recent times. The opening scene is just the first indication of what is to come; Little Fires Everywhere is a series that packs serious emotional punch. The crumbling house is a far cry from the carefully curated life the Richardson family have enjoyed up to this point, molded and shaped by Elena Richardson (Witherspoon), a Shaker Heights fixture and family matriarch who is type A in every sense. Elena's relentless pursuit of perfection is not just a personal project, but one that extends to her husband, Bill (Joshua Jackson), and their four children, as she attempts to pass on a legacy of success and achievement that will preserve the family's dominance in Shaker. For Elena, life is something to be worked at, and there is no room for complacency. According to her, if you are prepared for anything, you can head off any disaster at the pass. At least in theory. The picture-perfect lives of the Richardson family, including Elena (Reese Witherspoon), are upended by the arrival of artist Mia Warren, and her daughter. It would almost seem a parody of itself if not for the authenticity that cuts through thanks to the authorial voice of Ng that resonates throughout the adaptation, herself a former resident of the Ohio suburb. There couldn't be a more unlikely place for the nomadic Mia Warren (Washington) and her teenage daughter, Pearl (Lexi Underwood), to choose to settle, but circumstance and creative pursuits have led them straight into a world that demands conformity. An artist and single mother, Mia is the antithesis of the privileged Elena, and conformity is not her style, but when her search for a home sees their paths cross, the Warrens' and the Richardsons' lives are quickly interwoven. Her eldest daughter, Lexie (Jade Pettyjohn), might be her mini-me, but just like Elena, Lexie is an expert at hiding her true feelings, even from her mother. Elena's son, Moody ( Shrinking 's Gavin Lewis), has established a firm friendship with Pearl, but it is one that could cause friction within the family, especially as Pearl gets closer to his older brother, Trip (Jordan Elsass). Then there's Izzy (Megan Stott), who is on a mission to push Elena's buttons at every opportunity and finds a kindred spirit in the creative and free-spirited Mia. Though she appears to have reached the pinnacle of suburban existence, Elena is plagued by her own what ifs that refuse to be silenced, and flashbacks to her past reveal a life altogether different from the one she has created. With Pearl spending more time with the Richardson children, their shared desire to forge their own path and challenge the worldviews of their respective parents overcomes any difference of upbringing or experience. Though Mia couldn't be more different from Elena as a person and a parent, she is similar in her desire to shape her daughter's worldview, fierce in her rejection of the privileged world that the Richardsons inhabit and determined to keep Pearl grounded. Just like Elena, Mia finds herself forced to relent, or risk damaging her relationship with her daughter for good but choosing to do so brings with it an unwelcome permanency to their life in Shaker Heights. When Mia gets involved in a colleague's complex adoption case, motivated by what she believes is an obvious and obscene injustice, she unwittingly dives headfirst back into the Richardson's world. The two women that anchor this series are once again in opposition, this time on conflicting sides of a heart-wrenching situation that prompts them to reflect on what being a mother means to them, what it has cost them and what they would be prepared to do to protect their children. Little Fires Everywhere feels entirely contemporary at times, until pivotal moments that unflinchingly depict the realities of 1990s gender inequality, racial discrimination and social attitudes hand the audience a firm reminder. Though the series inhabits a world of not that long ago, it is one that is clearly many steps behind, evoking a disbelief and discomfort at times that only serves to enhance the implications of these experiences for the characters they impact. Just as fire has duality, bringing destruction and pain, whilst being the very thing that purifies and cleanses, the sparks that ignite in each instalment of Little Fires Everywhere ultimately lead to an inferno, both literal and metaphorical, that forever changes these two families. Whether the series reveals it to be their undoing, or the making of them, one thing is for certain: the truth can only be hidden for so long. Reality star Kate Gosselin forced to return to regular job after ‘sickening' financial downfall
Kate Gosselin was forced to return to her nursing career with gruelling 12-hour shifts after a 'sickening' financial downfall. The former reality star took to TikTok this week to share her 'long day' as a home health care nurse with her fans and one of them questioned why she returned to the challenging full-time job in the comments. 'Honestly? Providing for 8 kids,' the mother of eight responded to the fan. 'College funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS.' 'Sickening but I was drug [sic] into court constantly and that costs A TON,' she continued. 'Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren't for lawyers :(' 'It's okay. I'm helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping,' Gosselin concluded. Another fan questioned why she would have to work after spending years on the small-screen, but Gosselin explained that 'reality TV doesn't pay as well as it should when you have to provide for 8 kids on your own.' Gosselin has been very active on TikTok recently, often showing her followers how she preps for her work days. Her daughter, Alexis, made a rare appearance in her one of her mum's videos last week where she was packing her lunch. Her last appearance on reality TV was in 2023 on the first season of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, but she left the show early in the first episode due to a physical injury. Prior to that, she had her own spin-off show Kate Plus Date that aired for one season in 2019. Many of the users in the comments applauded the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star for her hard work and apologised for thinking she was the 'villain' during her reality TV days. 'I love this Kate. As we've all grown older, we now recognise how misunderstood you truly were. We hear you now,' one user wrote, with Gosselin thanking them. 'Looking back now, I can see how you were portrayed as the villain and you weren't. I apologise for ever thinking that,' another added. She and her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, rose to fame on their reality TLC show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, which aired from 2007 to 2009 and documented their family's chaotic life. After Jon and Kate split in December 2009, the show was rebooted to Kate Plus 8, which aired from 2015 to 2017. The exes share twins Cara and May, 24, and 21-year-old sextuplets: Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. 'He knows why..' she wrote back, seemingly denying the accusation that the estrangement was her fault. Kate has maintained that Collin is 'troubled' and 'violent' and attributes that to the reason why she institutionalised him in 2016. Collin, on the other hand, has been extremely outspoken about the alleged mistreatment he faced from his mum while under her care and has accused her of horrific abuse. 'My mother had a room built in our unfinished section of the storage basement,' he claimed to the US Sun in September 2024. 'She had a room put up with cameras in it, a tiny window in the corner and it was bolt-locked from the outside.' 'When my mother would put me in that room multiple times, she had zip-tied my hands and feet together and bolt-locked the door, turned the lights off and had cameras there just watching me,' Collin claimed. In his recent TikTok, Collin expressed that he 'will always love [his siblings] more than anything,' despite them siding with his mum, and is open to a reconciliation. 'The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could've shared. I love you guys,' he completed his heartbreaking post before adding a red heart emoji.

‘Hurt so much': Pete Davidson shades ex Ariana Grande
An 'embarrassed' Pete Davidson has shaded his ex-fiancee, Ariana Grande, while discussing how much the talk about his penis size 'hurt.' During the comedian's appearance on The Breakfast Club this week, he got candid about the attention he received surrounding his dating life in his earlier years on Saturday Night Live, per Page Six.
