Arsenal have officially unveiled their 2025/26 adidas home kit, returning to a classic red and white design while introducing a striking new visual identity built around the theme of the human heart.

With no blue detailing and a re-emphasis on tradition, the club have opted to centre the design on a reimagined crest and symbolism that reflects both heritage and connection with supporters.
The shirt prominently features the gothic 'A' from the club's Victoria Concordia Crescit era, used in the 1990/91 league-winning season. It returns now as a repeating print across the shirt, front and back, linking the current squad with a defining moment in the club's history.
The full club badge has also been restored, replacing the cannon emblem, albeit in a simplified white outline form.

The launch campaign includes a short film featuring William Saliba, Riccardo Calafiori, and youth product Myles Lewis-Skelly, alongside women's captain Kim Little and members of Arsenal in the Community.

Set to the sound of players' real heartbeats, the campaign draws on the club's 40th anniversary of community engagement, with children from the Premier League Kicks, Primary Stars and Football Plus programmes all featuring.
Lewis-Skelly said: 'I love our new kit, it looks fresh – I'm excited to wear this in front of our incredible supporters. Their energy lifts us and when we step out in the shirt, we feel it more than ever.'
Little added: 'Supporters are at the heart of everything we do, and this new kit connects to that so deeply. We carry our supporters with us, and they carry us with them, no matter where they are. They push us forward.'
Arsenal's men's team will wear the new strip for the first time in their penultimate league match of the season against Newcastle United at Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The shirt is paired with white shorts and red socks, both featuring the gothic 'A' and adidas's signature Three Stripes.
On the technical side, the authentic shirt uses adidas HEAT.RDY fabric for moisture control and temperature regulation, while the replica version, made from recycled materials, incorporates AEROREADY technology. Structured mesh and 3D engineering provide improved ventilation in key areas.

Former soccer player sentenced to four years in prison after orchestrating the smuggling of around $800,000 worth of cannabis

Former soccer player Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has been sentenced to four years in prison for his role in orchestrating the smuggling of over 132 pounds (60 kilograms) of cannabis worth around $800,000, according to both the Chelmsford Crown Court and the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA). Emmanuel-Thomas – whose former clubs include Premier League side Arsenal and recently relegated Ipswich Town – recruited two women to collect the cannabis from Thailand and transport it back to the UK, the NCA said in a statement. The two women involved were stopped by authorities in September after landing at Stansted Airport having flown from Bangkok and were originally charged with smuggling cannabis. However, the pair believed that they were transporting gold in two suitcases each, according to the NCA, and their charges were dropped. The NCA said Emmanuel-Thomas admitted last month to orchestrating the plot and 'was the intermediary between suppliers in Thailand and drug pushers in the UK.' Appearing in court on Thursday, Emmanuel-Thomas was sentenced to four years in prison, the NCA confirmed. According to Reuters, Judge Alexander Mills told Emmanuel-Thomas as he sat in the dock: 'Your transition from professional footballer to criminal represents a substantial fall from grace, one that effectively ends the only career path that you have ever known.' According to the BBC, the former soccer player had handwritten a letter which was read out in court, saying that the past year has been 'the most harmful and eye-opening of my life' and 'unbearable' at times. Emmanuel-Thomas' attorney, Alex Rose, said that his client turned to crime after encountering 'significant financial hard times' while out of contract during his career, the BBC reported. CNN has reached out to Emmanuel-Thomas and has made attempts to reach out to his attorney for comment on the sentencing. NCA's senior investigating officer David Philips said in a statement, 'We urge anyone asked to bring something into the UK that they're unsure of to simply say no.' 'Organised criminals like Thomas are invariably very persuasive with promises of payments and other enticements to couriers. But the risk of getting caught is very high and it simply isn't worth the risk.' The 34-year-old forward was playing for Scottish side Greenock Morton around the time of his arrest in September last year. The club subsequently terminated his contract with immediate effect. He had started his career at Arsenal's academy and went on to play for other British clubs including Bristol City, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City. He also represented England's youth teams and played in both India and Thailand at the back end of his career. CNN's George Ramsay and Ben Morse contributed reporting.

File Photo by Vince Mignott/EPA-EFE June 6 (UPI) -- Arsenal signed Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes to a four-year contract extension, the Premier League soccer franchise announced Friday. "It's an amazing club," Gabriel told the team website. "I'm so proud to sign a new contract. I love this club. I love the fans, my teammates, I love this stadium. "I'm so proud. Thank you for all the support." Gabriel, 27, joined the Gunners in 2020. He helped anchor a defense that allowed the fewest goals (34) in the Premier League for the second consecutive season in 2024-25. He also contributed 20 goals over 210 career appearances for the Gunners. The veteran center back made his senior career debut in 2016 for Brazil's Avai. He also played for Lille of France's Ligue 1 before loans to Ligue 2 club Troyes and Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb. "I arrived here as a young player and it's almost five years at this club," Gabriel said. "I've learned a lot here. I'm so proud of myself as well to have worn the captain's armband. It's an amazing journey. "I'm so happy to continue this journey and hopefully win some trophies for this club." The Gunners (20-4-14) finished second in the 2024-25 Premier League standings, 10 points behind first-place Liverpool (25-4-9). Gabriel sustained a hamstring injury during an April 1 win over Fulham and missed the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign, but said he expects to be healthy for next season. "It's going very well," Gabriel said of his recovery. "It was a bit difficult for me, but I know it's time to recharge. I'm feeling much better now and I'm so excited for next season." The Gunners will take on AC Milan in a friendly July 23 in Singapore.
