BS Yediyurappa slams Priyank over RSS remark
Priyank had spoken about banning the RSS if Congress comes to power at the Centre, the BJP leader said, adding that Congress coming to power at the Centre is just a dream. Yediyurappa said that the BJP will get a clear majority in the next Lok Sabha elections and Narendra Modi will once again become the Prime Minister.
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R Ashoka said that Congress could not act against the RSS even when it was in power. He predicted a 'Congress-free India' in the future. Speaking to media persons, Ashoka questioned why no action has been taken against CM Siddaramaiah, who has repeatedly spoken disrespectfully against officials.
'Siddaramaiah spoke disrespectfully against a Deputy Commissioner and a police officer, yet no action was taken. Congress is trying to create a controversy over BJP MLC N Ravikumar's alleged remarks to divert attention from the High Court directing a CBI probe into the Valmiki Development Corporation scam,' he said, asking the Congress to clarify what obscene remarks Ravikumar allegedly made.
In Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, and Sakaleshpur, coffee crops have been damaged, but neither the horticulture minister nor the district in-charge ministers have met the affected farmers, Ashoka said.

LJP (RV) chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan to contest upcoming Bihar polls
Earlier today, Paswan had carried out the 'Nav-Sankalp Mahasabha' from Chhapra to Nav Bihar, starting at the Rajendra Stadium in Chhapra. He said, 'Today, from this sacred land of Saran, I am declaring before all of you that yes, I will contest the election. I will contest the election for the people of Bihar, for my brothers, for my mothers, for my sisters, and we will create a system in Bihar, we will build a Bihar that will truly take the state forward on the path of development.' While hitting out at the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) over comprising the development of the state, he added, 'In the coming days, regarding the inheritance tax, the way Congress, RJD, and all their allies think about taxing the property that belongs to you generation after generation. The people who talk about development in Bihar today are the same opposition leaders who had ruined Bihar in the 90.' However, the Union Minister, while reacting over the murder of businessman Gopal Khema, expressed worry over the 'rising crime' and the 'collapse of law and order' in the state, and urged for putting pressure on the state government to bring the perpetrators to justice. 'It is a matter of worry the way crime has risen and law and order has collapsed in Bihar. If such an incident has happened in a posh locality of Patna, then we can only imagine what is happening in villages. It is worrying to see such incidents occur under a government that was known for good governance; then the opposition will have a chance to speak up. Strict action needs to be taken to set a precedent so that such a thing is not repeated,' Paswan told mediapersons here. On July 4, businessman Gopal Khemka was allegedly shot dead near his residence in the south area of the Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Following the incident, Bihar Police has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the murder case. The murder has evoked sharp political reactions from the opposition parties and put the spotlight back on the law and order situation in the state. LJP (Ram Vilas) is part of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). LJP is expected to keep on allying with the NDA for the upcoming Bihar polls, however Paswan has not yet confirmed his stance on it. (ANI) This report is auto-generated from ANI news service. Cong. demands judicial probe into Haryana recruitment of assistant professors by HPSC
Alleging large-scale irregularities in the recruitment process for assistant professors in various subjects in Haryana, Congress Rajya Sabha member Randeep Surjewala on Sunday demanded that the exams be conducted again in a transparent manner and judicial probe initiated into the matter. A delegation of candidates also submitted a memorandum to former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his Delhi residence in this connection. Haryana Chief Minister's media secretary Praveen Attrey denied the allegations as 'baseless', saying that Mr. Surjewala had made similar accusations over half-a-dozen times since the BJP first came to power in 2014 and was 'frustrated' over the people voting the party to power for the third time in a row. Mr. Surjewala, at a press conference in Hisar, alleged irregularities in the exam for the recruitment of assistant professors (Geography) saying that 32 questions for the exam conducted by the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) were taken from the question paper for geography conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission. The HPSC had advertised 2,424 posts for assistant professors in 26 subjects in August last year and around 1.5 lakh candidates had applied for it. The posts were advertised after a gap of around five years. 'Seals broken' Mr. Surjewala said seals of envelopes carrying question papers for assistant professor (Hindi) exam were found broken at six centres and the HPSC had to cancel the exam two days later. The HPSC initially maintained that the process was not compromised, but later cancelled the exam, which was the 'biggest proof of scam', alleged Mr. Surjewala. Addressing the delegation of the candidates appearing for the Assistant Professor exam, Mr. Hooda said that 'paper leaks, copy-paste exams and scams have become synonymous with the recruitments conducted under the BJP government'.
