Rescuers race to reach injured German Olympic champion stranded on mountain
Ms Dahlmeier, who also won the 2017 women's biathlon World Cup, was climbing Laila Peak in the Karakoram mountain range when she was struck by falling rocks.
Climbers including two Americans attempting the same ascent are trying to join the rescue operation.
Military helicopters were on stand-by but have been unable to deploy due to low visibility and ongoing bad weather and rainfall, Mr Faraq said.
Ms Dahlmeier, 31, will be brought to the city of Skardu when she is rescued, Mr Faraq said.
Local authorities launched the rescue mission on Monday after receiving a distress signal from Ms Dahlmeier's climbing partner, Marina Eva, who managed to descend to base camp with help from rescuers on Tuesday.
Ms Dahlmeier was injured at an altitude of about 18,700ft on Monday at noon local time, according to her management team in Germany. German broadcaster ZDF reported she suffered serious injuries in a rock fall.
'There is still no clarity on her condition,' Alpine Club of Pakistan Vice President Karrar Haidri told The Associated Press.
'She sustained serious injuries, but she has oxygen with her, and injured climbers have been known to survive for days.'
Ms Daimler won gold in the sprint and pursuit biathlon events at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The rampant Red Roses ran in 15 tries in Leicester as preparations for a tilt at global glory on home soil began in ruthless fashion. A dominant display at Welford Road was marred only by a second-half red card for stand-in captain Marlie Packer following an adjudged illegal clearout on Spain's sole try scorer Claudia Pena. John Mitchell's side, who were back in action for the first time since completing a Six Nations grand slam in April, play away to France next weekend before beginning their World Cup campaign against the United States on Friday, August 22 in Sunderland. England's training camp went well, then. The Red Roses were fluent and efficient in scoring 15 tries as they steamrollered Spain in their first warmup match for the Women's Rugby World Cup. They also displayed composure and good decision-making in their biggest ever win against these opponents, qualities that will be paramount for this vastly talented squad when the tournament begins. On the downside the starting captain, Marlie Packer, was shown a red card for a reckless second-half tackle – an unhappy end to an outstanding individual performance by the openside – and the visiting full-back Claudia Peña got Spain on the scoreboard with a sniping second-half finish. Aside from that it was a exercise in dogged defending for the visitors, and an afternoon for England to fine-tune attacking combinations. Helena Rowland, starting on the wing for England for the first time, scored a hat-trick while the prop Sarah Bern crossed twice in a dominant display. After nine weeks in training camp, including warm-weather practice in Treviso, it was possibly the worst time for Spain to face John Mitchell's supremely powerful side, who looked better-conditioned than ever. England will be tested more significantly next weekend, when they travel to face France, the second and final warmup before facing the USA at the Stadium of Light on 22 August. Packer's red card came just after the hour mark, for an inexplicable lunge on Pẽna, but eight well-worked tries in the second half were some consolation, Megan Jones rounding off the scoring on the stroke of full time. A promising afternoon's work before the challenge that lies ahead.
