Britney Spears sings off-key Prince song in strange performance from California mansion

Independent19 hours ago
Britney Spears has sung an off-key rendition of Prince 's ' Kiss ' from her California mansion.
Sharing the performance on Instagram to her 41.8 million followers on Monday (18 August), the singer can be seen walking into frame whilst belting out 'I don't know who I am', as she adjusts the ring light next to her camera.
She captioned the post: 'I would say, Julia Roberts singing Prince's 'Kiss' off key a touch, but I sounded really good behind the lens lol.' Spears appears to refer to Roberts' character singing the song in the 1990 film ' Pretty Woman '.
Wearing a crop top, some white shorts, and a pair of thigh high boots, the 43-year-old said she was wearing her pyjamas to clean, though added that it was 'not the most elegant look'.

The internet personality and model has shared some new images of a treatment she is trying which involves injecting a purple liquid into her bloodstream, surprising fans Kim Kardashian has left fans stunned with her latest Instagram post, where she shared images of unusual beauty treatments she tried while on holiday in South Korea. ‌ The 44-year-old reality TV star was joined by her sister Khloe Kardashian and friends including La La Anthony and Stephanie Shepherd for the trip. ‌ In one striking image, Kim could be seen having her arm injected with a vibrant purple liquid while partially bandaged. The unusual scene sparked concerned reactions from her followers, with one asking, "What are you injecting into your arm? Looks like a smoothie." ‌ However, others praised how bold she is when it comes to trying out uncommon beauty treatments, posting comments like, "Omgggg gurllll youu goooo", and "Honestly mood skincare everything there." Other photos showed Kim with tape and Band-Aids over her eyebrows, suggesting she may have been getting them dyed. Two more images featured her with a white substance on her face, likely from a specialty facial. Kim didn't explain the treatments; and just captioned her post: "The things we do." The South Korea trip also featured Kim promoting her SKIMS line, where she tried out the new Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap alongside La La Anthony and Khloe Kardashian. The trio jetted abroad in style on Kim's private plane, Kim Air, with Kim donning a brown fur coat over a sheer Saint Laurent body stocking paired with bold red lipstick. She captioned that snapshot: "When in Korea." ‌ Kim has also been open about her recent health and wellness journey. Earlier this month, she discussed how stem cell therapy has helped her overcome chronic pain. She took to Instagram, saying: "I'm so excited to share with you guys my stem cell journey. Two years ago, I tore my shoulder while lifting weights, leaving me in debilitating pain. "I tried everything to find relief, then I learned about the potential of stem cell therapy and met Dr. Adeel Khan at Eterna. His team treated my shoulder with Dezawa Muse cells, and the results were immediate. I regained full range of motion, and my shoulder has felt completely normal ever since." She went on to explain how the therapy also helped with chronic back pain, adding: "The Muse stem cell treatment was a game-changer once again. I experienced relief right away, and the unbearable pain is finally gone. If you're struggling with back pain, I can't recommend this treatment enough - it's transformed my life when I thought my body was breaking down." ‌ This comes after Kanye West recently made headlines with a new documentary trailer, where Kim can be seen tearfully confronting him about his mental health struggles. The rapper, who now goes by Ye, can be heard admitting: "I've been off my meds for five months now." Kim, looks visibly distraught, and replies through tears: "Your personality was not like this a few years ago," before he storms out of a dressing room with her name written on it. The trailer intercuts these tense moments between the couple with footage of Ye discussing his "calling" and vision for his faith-based performances, including his Sunday Service at Coachella. At one point, Kim pleads with him to pause the conversation, saying: "We could talk about that later, but…" only for him to cut her off with: "It ain't no but!"

X Factor star Lydia Lucy marries long term partner Tommy Watson in lavish wedding

Former X Factor and The Voice UK contestant Lydia Lucy has tied the knot with her long-term partner Tommy Watson in a special ceremony in a luxury London hotel Former X Factor and The Voice UK contestant Lydia Lucy has tied the knot with her long-term partner Tommy Watson in a breathtaking ceremony at London's famed Savoy Hotel. ‌ The 32-year-old singer, who first found fame on reality TV talent shows over a decade ago, delighted fans by sharing glimpses of her big day on Instagram. ‌ Lydia and Tommy could be seen beaming with joy as they posed as husband and wife while surrounded by a spectacular floral display. The singer captioned her post: "The new Mr and Mrs." ‌ The wedding was met with an outpouring of love from Lydia's celebrity friends. TOWIE star Chloe Brockett gushed: "Stunning Lydia." Former I'm A Celebrity winner Scarlett Moffatt added: "So beautiful. Huge congratulations xxx," while Love Island 's Chloe Crowhurst chimed in with: "Congratulations beautiful." After the ceremony, the couple and their daughter Dottie-May made the most of The Savoy's five-star spa and fine dining options by enjoying a mini staycation at the hotel. Dottie-May, who was born in 2021, is especially dear to the couple, as Lydia previously revealed she suffered from a miscarriage the year before her daughter's arrival. Lydia's rise to fame began in 2013 when she auditioned for The X Factor in front of judges Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, and Louis Walsh. She wowed the panel with renditions of Jessie J's Mamma Knows Best and Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Me Feel, but was ultimately eliminated during the Six Chair Challenge. Lydia went on to audition for The Voice UK in 2016, joining team and becoming his last act standing, before eventually finishing in fourth place. ‌ Her powerful performances earned her opportunities to tour with the Black Eyed Peas frontman and even perform with the group in Fergie's absence. Now Lydia has a career as a vocalist for private events, and often performs at high-profile weddings and celebrity parties. Lydia has previously spoken about how she uses her stage name to pay tribute to her late sister, Lucy, who died from spina bifida three years before Lydia was born. During her time on The Voice, she dedicated an emotional performance of I'll Be There to her sister, with newly written lyrics including: "It's not fair, I know that you're there, Watching me guiding me, From the upstairs." ‌ At the time Lydia shared: "Even though we never met I feel like I know so much about her that we would have been the best of friends. I feel her aura is always around me, willing me to do well. "I carry a picture of her everywhere, I have a locket of her hair and I've watched all the home videos. She's there in one of them with her little plastic karaoke microphone at Christmas singing Cliff Richard's Living Doll. She has such a lovely smile." She also spoke about how her late sister was the person who named her, explaining: "Lucy picked my name for me when she was seven. When Mum was pregnant with one of my two brothers, Lucy said, 'I hope you have a girl, mummy, so that I can have a sister and I hope you call her Lydia.' "So three years after her death, when I was born, Mum made sure that wish was granted. I had the same princess dress Lucy had and loved. Her Wendy house is still in the middle of our garden. We have shared so much without ever meeting."

Ferris Bueller's Day Off stars Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck REUNITE for first time on new film... see them now

Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck have been spotted together on the set of their upcoming film The Best Is Yet to Come for the first time. They previously won the hearts of fans as best friends in the classic 1986 high school comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off, directed by John Hughes. Now their admirers will be able to see them playing pals once again in their upcoming movie, which has begun principal photography in Vancouver. Alan, 69, and Matthew, 63, will be portraying characters on a road trip, apparently attempting to clear up the fallout from a past misunderstanding. The two leading men were glimpsed at work on the film this Wednesday, looking a far cry from the freewheeling, boyish roles they played in their last film together. For their latest shoot day, both of the grizzled actors were formally costumed in suits, with Matthew dressed in blue and Alan in maroon. Matthew teamed his suit traditionally with a tucked-in dress shirt and tie, while Alan's suit was worn over an untucked floral satin top. Their co-stars in the film include Jill Morrison, whose has acted on shows like The Good Doctor as well as a string of Hallmark movies. The Best Is Yet to Come takes its title from a song popularized by Frank Sinatra, with words by Carolyn Leigh and music by Cy Coleman. National Treasure director Jon Turtletaub is at the helm of the new picture, working from a screenplay by Allan Loeb, who previously wrote such films as the 2011 comedy Just Go With It starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Their new film marks the first time Alan and Matthew have worked together in nearly four decades, ever since Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Directed by John Hughes, who was famed for 1980s high school comedies like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off was an instant hit. Its rollicking plotline follows the title teenager (Matthew) playing truant from high school for a day with his girlfriend (Mia Sara) and best pal (Alan). One year before the film, Alan and Matthew acted together on Broadway in the semi-autobiographical Neil Simon comedy Biloxi Blues about basic training in World War II. The actors have remained steadfast friends in real life ever since, and chatted with each other for Interview magazine just two years ago. Matthew fondly recalled that he thought Alan was 'really, really special from the first read-through' of Biloxi Blues, sharing that he watched his co-star work during the 'first rehearsals' and thought: 'Who's that guy? He's so good.' Meanwhile Alan said that 'if there was no Matthew Broderick, there probably wouldn't have been a Biloxi Blues, and that was a major springboard for me.' Alan, whose recent roles include Logan Roy's (Brian Cox) eldest son Connor on Succession, added: 'If it wasn't for Biloxi Blues, Ferris Bueller wouldn't have happened for me. I've told you this before, but I think in a previous life you saved me from some horrible death.'
