4-star Georgia WR commit shuts down recruitment amid Michigan rumors
Four-star Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver commitment Brady Marchese has shut down his recruitment. Marchese ended his recruitment just hours after many experts predicted the Michigan Wolverines would flip him.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound pass catcher has been committed to Georgia since March 2025. Marchese plays high school football for Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia. The 247Sports Composite ranks Marchese as the No. 42 wide receiver in the country and the No. 29 player in Georgia. The Cartersville star is the No. 250 recruit in the nation.
Marchese has risen significantly up the recruiting rankings since his commitment to Georgia football. He's one of 13 commitments Georgia has in the class of 2026. The Bulldogs have the nation's No. 6 recruiting class in the 2026 cycle and the SEC's best recruiting class so far.
Marchese, four-star Vance Spafford and three-star Ryan Mosley are Georgia's three wide receiver commitments in the class of 2026. Marchese shutting down his recruitment is a big win for Georgia in the middle of official visit season.
Georgia has a strong pitch to wide receiver recruits since they'll get the opportunity to play alongside five-star UGA quarterback commit Jared Curtis.
Marchese has elite speed. He posted speeds of over 22 miles per hour during his junior season. Marchese's speed helps him blow by opposing defensive backs and he does an outstanding job of creating separation in his impressive highlights.

2026 4-star RB re-affirms his commitment to Texas A&M
This weekend, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and his staff are hosting 18 prospects from the 2026 recruiting class, including six commitments in the cycle, providing another opportunity to capitalize on the program's early success in landing recruits in four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, and four-star running back Jonathan Hatton, who are both being heavily pursued by other programs this summer. Hatton was previously committed to Oklahoma before re-opening his recruitment and ultimately committing to the Aggies in late March. However, the Sooners are still attempting to reel him back in, as the Cibolo (TX) native will take an official visit to Oklahoma on June 20. Still, over the past two months after his commitment, including this weekend's official visit, Hatton is completely locked in ahead of Early Signing Day in December. Advertisement On Saturday morning, Hatton reaffirmed his commitment to Texas A&M, releasing a video on social media (X) while sending a subtle message that his alliance with the Aggies remains strong, even with his OV to Oklahoma just a couple of weeks away. On the field, Hatton is an elite runner with the vision, footwork, and upfield burst to become a star at the next level, having produced 1,229 yards and 20 touchdowns while averaging 9.17 yards per carry. With Le'Veon Moss leaving after the 2025 season, bringing Hatton into the backfield lineup will provide immediate depth in 2026. According to 247Sports Composite, Hatton is currently positioned as the 77th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 5th-ranked running back, and the 10th-ranked prospect in Texas. He's going to have fun with you, but then there is also a time to be serious and a time to be disciplined.' Advertisement Saban was well known for prioritizing discipline and preparation throughout training, and it seems Moore does the same. 'Everything is discipline-oriented around there,' Haynes added. Georgia has made Atkinson a top priority throughout his time during high school and needs to land a top an in-state prospect like him.
